That's quite a sizable number.

Gu Qing had been watching Zhao Chi the whole time.

The moment Zhao Chi looked up, Gu Qing knew he had finished reading.

"My lord, there are roughly 18,400 adult Feathered Ox. Males and females are basically split half and half, and the females need to be kept for milking and bearing calves. That leaves nearly 9,200 male Feathered Ox that can be slaughtered for meat. Should we do it in batches?"

"That's fine. Do you have a plan?"

"Yes. Each Feathered Ox can be broken down into 1,400 kilograms of meat and 200 kilograms of fat. The fat can be sent to the oil refinery to render into oil, leaving 1,400 kilograms of meat to eat. At 2 kilograms of beef per person per day, slaughtering 23 a day would be enough."

Two kilograms per person is indeed quite a lot.

Even with their big appetites, 2 kilograms a day is enough for them to eat.

For Zhao Chi, he could only eat half a jin.

"That's fine. So there are also 9,200 adult female Feathered Ox right now, correct?"

Gu Qing nodded: "Yes. Most of them are already pregnant, and they produce over 400 tons of fresh milk a day, though most of it still has to go to feeding the calves."
