Chapter 2730: Trade and Advancement (38)

Zhao Chi was a bit dumbfounded.

He wanted to feed the tree spirit blood directly, but the tree spirit had fainted from hunger—where would he even find it?

What should he do, then?

Split open the great tree and make a gap?

But the problem was—where was the tree spirit?

The Eternal Tree was now so enormous that there was simply no way to know the tree spirit's location.

And splitting open the great tree… would probably have a bad effect on the Eternal Tree…

Zhao Chi's brows knit tightly.

The tree spirit… isn't she a tree spirit? Why didn't she draw nutrients from the soil through the great tree?

How could she still faint from hunger?

It was probably because the Growth Talismans had been used too much—she grew too fast, and before the great tree could help her draw nutrients, she had already fainted from hunger…

Fortunately she was still in a healthy state.

It should count as acute hunger-fainting.

If left unattended, her healthy state would probably quickly change into something else.

Since he couldn't find the tree spirit, he'd feed the great tree first!

Before, it was also only after he watered the great tree with blood that the tree spirit appeared.

No more time to think it over!

Try it right now!

"Let's go, we're going to water it with blood!"

Zhao Chi waved his hand grandly and charged toward the giant tree first.

The women around him immediately followed.

Besides Gu Qing and her four, the twenty Silk Race female soldiers were also there.

Leaping over the half-transparent pink bark scattered all over the ground, climbing over the huge purple-glowing roots bulging from the earth, Zhao Chi and the others arrived at the giant tree's side.

They had been standing rather far away just now.

Now that they had come beneath the tree, they realized the changes in this great tree were extremely massive.

Thirty-two meters and fifty meters were simply not the same concept…

If compared to a human's height, a 32-meter giant tree was like a 1.7-meter person, while a 50-meter giant tree was equivalent to a 2.7-meter person.

Practically a giant!

If compared to a human's length, a 32-meter giant tree was like a 12-centimeter length, while a 50-meter giant tree was 19 centimeters.

There was an essential difference.

This really could reach the stomach now.

Besides the height, the trunk's diameter had also shot straight to five meters.

It would take three people linking arms to fully encircle it.

Far too big…

Not only that, the great tree's fluorescence was also brighter.

Looking at the giant tree from this distance, there was actually a dazzling feeling.

It's just that the light it was emitting now had a slightly greenish tinge…

It really was time to water it with blood.

"Qiyue, begin!"

"Yes, my lord."

Qiyue and the twenty Silk Race female soldiers were already very practiced at this procedure.

Zhao Chi's blood vessels were pried open, and healing light kept descending.

Blood sprayed furiously against the half-transparent, smooth trunk and was completely absorbed by the giant tree within half a second.

The blood didn't look like it was splashing against the trunk at all—rather, it was like being shot into a bottomless abyss.

Gu Qing's delicate brows furrowed slightly.

This was her first time seeing Zhao Chi do this.

She knew doing this wasn't really a big problem, but she still felt a pang of heartache.

Her instinct wanted to stop him, but reason still controlled her thoughts.

In the end she didn't speak either, only continuously using healing techniques, treating Zhao Chi together with the Silk Race female soldiers.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh~

Blood flowed like a gushing stream.

The trunk Zhao Chi had watered first turned pink again.

Then, with the trunk as the center, the entire great tree gradually turned pink as well.

And the light was even more brilliant.

This could no longer be called fluorescence—it could completely be said to be glowing.

Zhao Chi felt very dizzy.

This was the first time he had felt somewhat unequal to the task.

After all, this tree was simply too big.

His own blood was somewhat insufficient.

Fortunately the tree spirit's state had changed somewhat.

【Status】Healthy (Fainting from Hunger)

It seems feeding blood to the great tree can also restore the Tree Spirit. Good.

The Tree Spirit's condition has eased from severe hunger fainting to hunger fainting.

I don't know when she'll wake up.

If she can wake up, Zhao Chi can feed her separately. The Tree Spirit can't eat too much blood on her own.

As for the great tree... it's fine to rest a bit before feeding it again.

But for now, I can only keep going.
