Chapter 287

But in the end, the base mood of all the women dropped by about another 10%.

It seemed the excitement from being able to resurrect was gradually fading back to normal.

The 10 new militia members who came yesterday all leveled up after training hard.

He estimated the other female soldiers could level up today too.

Iron Shields could be finished for all the female soldiers today, with extras made as backup.

Wooden spears, added to yesterday's batch, totaled over 600.

Enough for these 30 female soldiers to each throw 20, and ranged killing power was coming online too.

Timber isn't counted as one tree.

If it's a small tree, it might only count as 0.4 units of timber; if it's a big tree, it might count as 2 units of timber.

Iron ore is the same.

These past two days the hunting team had been working at full capacity.

Previously, because meat spoiled easily, they only hunted as much as they ate.

But now they needed to make a large batch of leather armor, so extra hunting was necessary — mainly for the hides.

All the surplus meat was salted and air-dried, so it could be stored longer.

Now both the tailors and the builders numbered 20 people each, and output was at its highest.

The construction team had built 4 buildings in just one day yesterday.

A warehouse was a must.

Right now all kinds of materials were just left outdoors, and food was piled up in the lord's residence.

Now that there was a dedicated warehouse, it was much easier to store a lot.

A well was a must.

Right now they still had to go to the river to fetch drinking water.

Although they had the Carefree Spring, Zhao Chi wasn't sure if it could be drunk.

But Gu Qing didn't care.

She swam around inside it butt-naked, drinking as she went.

But the other women couldn't do what she did, including Tang Ruan.

So Zhao Chi had Fang Li and the others build a well too, so they could draw water in the village from then on and wouldn't have to haul water from the river anymore.

A latrine was also a must.

Originally, those women all used the latrine in the lord's residence.

But as the number of people grew, the stalls weren't enough.

They often had to line up.

So now most of the women simply took care of it in the woods.

Now that there was a dedicated latrine, it was much more convenient.

There was one more benefit to Zhao Chi's territory being all female.

That was, the latrine only needed one set built.

No need to separate men's and women's.

In just one day yesterday, 19 sets of leather armor were made; making a few more today would be enough for all the female soldiers to wear.

The previous leather armor was to be phased out.

Repairing it might lower the quality, so it was better to just make new ones — and besides, the old ones weren't good quality to begin with, not worth fixing.

Zhao Chi wanted everyone to wear leather armor, so that when battle came, all of them could fight.

Those female craftsmen didn't have combat skills, but their stats were high enough that their killing power was solid.

With leather armor, they'd be qualified second-line combatants.
