Chapter 414

It won't be long before Zhao Chi's territory's strength can leap forward.

This time Zhao Chi stopped crafting, not because it was too tedious.

But because the materials were used up.

The rare materials were gone.

The rare materials for stockings, and the rare materials for shirts — all used up.

And the medicines obtained from opening treasure chests earlier had also been consumed.

So he had no choice but to stop.

Fortunately, both fashion items had been completed well over quota, so there's no need to make more for now.

There are still plenty of rare materials left for making fire oil; later he can switch over to making fire oil and then sell it for money.

But first he needs to buy some potions to recover stamina and energy.

Tang Ruan 【My lord, why did you stop? Not crafting anymore?】

Zhao Chi 【Mm, taking a break for now. Next time will probably be crafting outside.】

Tang Ruan 【Great! What are we doing next?】

Zhao Chi 【Free activity next. Wait until I separate from your body.】

Tang Ruan 【Oh, got it.】

The fashion items made over the past two days have all been distributed.

There are over 100 surplus stockings and shirts each, enough for the new villagers' fashion needs for at least the next 10 days.

As the population keeps growing, soldiers and craftsmen can eventually be completely separated.

When that time comes, craftsmen will only be responsible for production.

And all combat will be left to the soldiers.

This way, the consumption of fashion items can drop noticeably.

Zhao Chi also won't have to spend too much time on this.

Soon, Zhao Chi separated from Tang Ruan.

Tang Ruan glanced at Zhao Chi's body, then walked over.

"My lord, lift your foot, I'll help you put on your pants."

"It's fine, I'll do it myself."

"Oh, then I'll help you get dressed."

After helping him dress, Tang Ruan went off to train.

Zhao Chi followed behind her and also arrived at the training ground.

Qi Yue was sparring with several female soldiers.

These female soldiers were all attack-speed types; when the two sides clashed, it was truly a dazzling blur of blades and sword-light.

Gu Qing stood nearby, occasionally raising a hand to send out a thread.

Healing the injured female soldiers.

Seeing Zhao Chi, Gu Qing came over with a smile: "My lord, looking for me?"

"No, I'll find you tonight. I'm looking for Qi Yue."

"Oh… Qi Yue! My lord is looking for you!"

Hearing Gu Qing's shout, Qi Yue immediately ran over.

Without bothering to wipe her sweat, she cupped her fists in salute.

Zhao Chi said: "Why are you sweating so much? Perfect timing to take a rest."

Qi Yue smiled and shook her head: "I'm fine, not tired."

Gu Qing said: "Let's head straight to the hot spring. My lord wants to ask you about the territory survey from the past two days."

Qi Yue nodded and sheathed her iron saber.

"Understood, my lord. Then I'll report at the hot spring?"

Although reporting the situation in the buff at the hot spring was somewhat absurd, Zhao Chi already was used to it.

"Alright, let's go."

Over the past few days while Zhao Chi was crafting, he had also assigned Qi Yue and the others a task.

That was to survey the resources within the territory.

Including timber resources, mineral resources, animal resources, and so on.

There hadn't been time before; only now was there some free time.

Zhao Chi felt very at ease entrusting this matter to Qi Yue.

First, Qi Yue was very fast, so the efficiency could be very high.

Second, Qi Yue's personality was "earnest" and "obedient."

Tasks Zhao Chi gave her, she would take very seriously to heart.

They arrived at the hot spring.

The two sat inside.

Feeling the comfort of the warm spring water, Qi Yue also relaxed as she reported.

Zhao Chi listened and nodded along.

He also helped rub her tender little bumps along the way.

Qi Yue flinched and looked up in surprise.

But found Zhao Chi's movements and expression perfectly natural.

Qi Yue felt a little dazed—had their relationship already become this intimate?

Inevitably, her voice trembled slightly.

But she still reported seriously, undisturbed by such a thing.

Zhao Chi heard something off in her voice, looked up, and froze for a moment.

Why was it Qi Yue in his hands?

Then he immediately came to his senses.

Of course it was Qi Yue—he was currently listening to Qi Yue's report, not playing in the water with Gu Qing.

He was extremely embarrassed and immediately pulled his hands back.

He pretended nothing had happened.

Qi Yue was very cooperative too; blushing crimson, she also pretended nothing had happened and lowered her head to continue her report.

Zhao Chi was slightly impressed.

She hadn't dodged or avoided it at all just now—not even a token struggle or step back.

She had simply endured it in silence.

Is this also a manifestation of the "Obedient" personality trait?

Still, Qi Yue's report was indeed clear and concise.

Zhao Chi already had a clearer, further understanding of the entire territory.

【Taoyuan Village Resource Status】

【Animals】 approximately 600

【Trees】 approximately 6,000

【Iron Ore】 approximately 5,000 units

【Stone Ore】 approximately 18,000 units

【Coal Ore】 approximately 3,600 units

Among them, the animals were configured when the territory was built—configured 10 times in total, for 1,000 animals.

Including birds and beasts.

There were large ones like wild boars and deer, as well as small ones like rabbits and pheasants.

About 600 remain now.

Not too many left.

But fortunately, Zhao Chi's territory now had wheat—and it was a high-yield, fast-ripening wheat.

Even if all these animals were hunted down, they could still sustain themselves on wheat afterward.

Moreover, those 15 tons of Frost Bear meat from a few days ago had already been cured, enough to last a while too.
