The mine area was their stronghold; most of the demons have already been cleared out.

We've slain the demon leader; the rest can be handled by the local garrison."

As her words ended, two more streaks of light flew in from afar.

It was Mark and Luke from Sirius; Luke held several demon heads, grinning:

"The fishing villages along the west coast are done—just Starlight-tier trash."

"Excellent! My lords truly possess extraordinary strength!

Not only did you eliminate the demon race, you even saved my daughter!"

Alvis turned red with excitement:

"There should be few demons left in the sewers—my lords, just clean them out once more, and I can submit your mission."

Her voice shook uncontrollably as large tears rolled from her eyes:

"You… you killed my father! I saw it with my own eyes! You… you took his heart…"

Emily couldn't speak further; her eyes brimmed with utter terror and despair.

She curled into a ball, trembling violently.

The entire parlor fell into deathly silence after her words.

All eyes turned to Alvis.

"Lili, you were taken by the demon race—how can you say such things about your father?

Sweetheart, don't be afraid. Father will always protect you; I'll never let you suffer again."

Alvis first froze, then wore an expression of pain and regret as he spoke.

But as he tried to step closer to Emily,

Bella of the Eternal Star Alliance stepped in front of her and tossed a vial:

"For safety's sake, Lord, you should prove your identity."

"What's this?" Alvis stared at the vial in his hand.

"Demon race detection serum—just a drop of blood will determine if you're a demon."

Bella said coolly; Rod and the others chimed in:

"You know demons are masters of disguise—we're doing this to complete the mission."

Xu Jingming and Ye Lan showed little reaction to the serum.

Though they possessed demon blood, they differed fundamentally from pure demon race.

This demon detection serum would detect no anomaly even if used on them.

"This... don't you trust me?"

Alvis looked stunned, but Xu Jingming and the others remained unmoved.

As Rod said, the demon race is exceptionally skilled at disguise.

Without testing, they won't feel at ease.

Its body was long and elegant, covered in dark purple scales, each one glinting with a cold luster.

Behind it unfolded a pair of massive demonic wings, casting shadows over the entire hall.

Most chilling of all, its voice alternated between cheerful and mournful, two utterly different tones sounding simultaneously:

"Hehehe... found out, huh..."

"Wuwu... why did you force us..."

As he finished speaking, everyone in the reception hall turned pale with horror.

This aura—this was a Star Rank Four demon!

Rod's face changed instantly, his voice thick with shock:
