Chapter 305: Survival Match! Officially Begins!

March 20th,

This day was the 11th day after the National University League began.

At the same time, the final event of the League—the Survival Match—would also begin today!

It was currently 8:43 a. m., with more than ten minutes left until the match's 9 a. m. start.

Yet the entire venue under the morning sun was already packed with spectators!

"Here it comes! Survival Match! The most bloody, violent slaughter! The most热血 battle!"

"I can't wait! I wonder who'll kill more ferocious beasts."

"No doubt it'll be the strongest Lei Di!"

"Not necessarily—Shi Zun from Jing University is also strong; a reversal might happen."

"......"

The Survival Match takes place inside a demon cave near Qingxu City, not inside the stadium.

Spectators here can only watch the live broadcast.

But unlike ordinary broadcasts, the contestants' kills of ferocious beasts are never censored, and the footage sometimes appears quite bloody.

Yet due to their deep hatred of ferocious beasts, spectators feel no discomfort—instead, they eagerly anticipate it.

Some even bet on who'll kill more, and faster!

"Survival Match... I heard they'll even release fifth-rank ferocious beasts inside. Won't Xiao Ming be in danger?"

In the inner spectator seats, Xiao Gu's family and Zhou Mingyang had already arrived.

Since it involved brutal combat with ferocious beasts, Xiao Gu Xu Qingwan couldn't help worrying about Xu Jingming's safety.

"Mom, relax—every contestant has a distress signal flare and an emergency defense sphere."

"Even several eighth-rank Grand Masters and special ability squads are on standby at all times to rescue them—nothing will happen."

Cousin Tang Qi comforted her.

Contestants in the National University League are nearly the most outstanding new generation of strength in all of Daya this year.

If they continue to grow, they'll become the backbone of Daya's nation.

It's just a competition—the Ministry of Education won't let them perish over it.

All safety measures have been thoroughly implemented.

"As long as there are safety measures, that's enough." Xu Qingwan finally sighed in relief.

"Auntie, cousin, good morning."

At that moment, accompanied by a melodious voice, Song Qiuyun walked over from the corridor.

It was March; the weather had grown warm, and most spectators wore light clothing.

Song Qiuyun was no different—just jeans and a hoodie, casual attire.

Yet her slender figure, paired with the faint smile on her face,

still struck Tang Qi and the others with a sense of stunning beauty.

She was still the same person, yet somehow, compared to two days ago,

she seemed even more beautiful, as if she'd gained a touch of deeper maturity...

"Morning."

After a long moment, cousin Tang Qi finally snapped out of it and hurriedly greeted her.

Meanwhile, Xiao Gu Xu Qingwan seemed to have sensed something, her expression thoughtful.

But she naturally wouldn't ask directly—she merely smiled and asked:

"Has Xiao Ming already gone to the match site?"

"Yes, we parted ways at the stadium entrance," Song Qiuyun replied with a smile.

Since the Survival Match's venue was inside the demon cave,

all participants had to enter the site in advance and were then taken separately to different locations within.

They could only move freely after the match began.

"With the match approaching, has Xiao Ming... been feeling well?" Xu Qingwan blinked, as if implying something.

If this had been before, Song Qiuyun would have simply thought Xiao Gu was concerned about Xu Jingming's health.

But now, she was no longer naive.

Her previously white face instantly flushed slightly pink, and she replied in a softer voice:

"Mm, he's in good shape..."

Once you've tasted the sweetness, dry tinder and blazing fire don't extinguish easily.

She had planned to let Xu Jingming return to his dorm after training last night, since today was the match.

But after he said, "This level of intensity means nothing," he simply picked her up and carried her into the room.

As Xu Jingming had said, she was the first to surrender again in the late night.

Even this morning, when she woke up, he was still full of energy.

"That's good."

Seeing Song Qiuyun's expression, Xu Qingwan knew her guess was almost certainly right.

Her smile deepened further...

"Welcome back, everyone, to the National University League!

Today, we begin the League's final event—the Survival Match!"

Time flew by quickly, and soon it was nine o'clock.

From backstage stepped the host Feng Le, who, as usual, delivered a high-energy welcome speech before introducing the Survival Match rules:

"The Survival Competition arena is located inside the Demon Cave, in a specially designated area of approximately 400 square kilometers!

Within this area, our event organizers have released a total of several thousand Tier 3, Tier 4, and even Tier 5 fierce beasts!

During the 10-day Survival Competition, all 80 contestants from the 10 universities will engage in the most intense slaughter against the fierce beasts!

Whoever kills more fierce beasts, and of higher tiers, will have a higher score!

Of course,

The Survival Competition does not prohibit contestants from fighting each other.

Contestants who voluntarily surrender, or whose defense orb is activated, will be considered eliminated, and half of their score will go to the victor.

And in order to better monitor every contestant's movements, we have installed high-precision cameras across the entire sky above the competition zone.

Now, let's take a look at the contestants currently in the arena!!"

Buzz~~~~

Accompanied by a low mechanical whirring sound, a total of eighty holographic projections slowly appeared in mid-air inside the stadium.

Each holographic projection showed the figure of one contestant.

Among them, the five frontmost holographic projection screens were much larger than the others!

On the first screen, a youth wearing black battle attire, tall and slender, stood on an open patch of ground in a jungle.

In his hand he gripped a thick, dark-gold, ferocious-looking long spear!

It was none other than the captain of the Demon University representative team, Xu Jingming!

The second screen showed the captain of the Capital University representative team, Wang Qi, followed by the captains of the other major universities.

In the upper-right corner of each individual screen were basic details such as name, school, score, and ranking.

And on the right side of the entire holographic projection, there was also a large thumbnail map.

On the map, 80 light dots representing the contestants' positions glowed faintly.

From the map one could see that every contestant was at a different location within the competition zone, far apart from one another.

"Lei Di is so handsome!"

"Demon University is the strongest!"

"Go Capital University!"

"......"

After the holographic projections appeared, the entire stadium erupted! Cheers and shouts rang out thunderously!

Amidst this excited cheering, the host Feng Le also announced loudly:

"The final event of the National University League, the Survival Competition, begins now!!"
