Chapter 369: Elemental Weapon! Radiant Thunder Staff!

"The Spirit Refining Technique requires at least six thousand points of spiritual power to learn; you'll only meet the requirement after reaching fifth rank."

Su Qingli's crisp voice echoed through the villa's living room.

Physical strength and spiritual power—the two fundamental attributes of psychics—have little to do with the rarity of their abilities.

They're tied instead to the psychic training methods used.

Even among those practicing top-tier psychic training methods, slight differences exist between individuals.

But these differences aren't significant; Xu Jingming, still only a high-level fourth rank, likely hasn't reached the required spiritual power yet.

"Teacher, I think my spiritual power has already met the threshold."

Xu Jingming blinked his eyes, "I obtained an SSS-grade Holy Spirit Fruit inside the No. 9 Civilization Ruins."

"After eating it, I felt my spiritual power surge dramatically."

"An SSS-grade celestial treasure?"

Su Qingli paused slightly, then her eyes brightened with delight: "Show me your spiritual power—I'll sense it."

At her words, Xu Jingming's spiritual power surged violently, faintly swirling around his body.

The spiritual power of a psychic specializing in the spirit element has countless miraculous effects.

Such as hypnosis, intimidation, and even enslavement on the level of consciousness.

But as a lightning-element psychic, Xu Jingming's spiritual power doesn't possess such strong effects.

At most, it slightly enhances perception, or allows him to remotely retrieve small objects.

"This spiritual power intensity has definitely broken through the six-thousand threshold!"

After a brief sensing, Su Qingli's beautiful eyes instantly lit up:

"With this, your path to becoming an Elementalist will be drastically shortened."

Su Qingli had originally assumed Xu Jingming wouldn't reach fifth rank and become an Elementalist until at least half a year later.

Yet unexpectedly, just by coming here, Xu Jingming gave her a delightful surprise!

"Good, good, good—if so, take this original copy of the Shenhe Contemplation Method and study it for two days."

Devote yourself fully to reading it; write down all questions you can't understand, and come back to me after two days."

"Also, I've already planned out the combat techniques you'll need to learn as an Elementalist."

Su Qingli shoved the original manuscript straight into Xu Jingming's arms.

Then, with a flick of her right hand, a holographic projection appeared midair, listing three combat techniques with their descriptions.

"【Thunderball Technique (A+ Rank)】: Compress your lightning-element psychic energy into a highly dense thunderball."

"Launch it to inflict massive area-of-effect damage."

"Note: Only psychics of third rank or higher with a B-grade ability may train this."

"【Lightning Chain (A+ Rank)】: Fire a powerful bolt of lightning at a target; upon impact,"

"the lightning automatically arcs to the next target, continuing until its energy depletes or no targets remain within range."

"Note: Only psychics of third rank or higher with a B-grade ability may train this."

"【Thunder Barrier (A+ Rank)】: Form a high-density barrier of lightning around yourself—its defensive power is extremely formidable."

"Note: Only psychics of third rank or higher with a B-grade ability may train this."

"A+ rank combat techniques?" Xu Jingming blinked in surprise—he'd never seen such a classification at Mo University.

"Unlike Mo University, our Thunder Sect classifies combat techniques more precisely."

Su Qingli explained softly, "An A+ rank technique means it's among the most outstanding within the A-rank category."

"Also, I know your comprehension is extraordinary—even S-rank spells aren't too difficult for you."

"But S-rank and even SS-rank spells drain psychic energy excessively—even as a high-level fourth rank,"

"you still couldn't cast ten S-rank spells in one go."

"Moreover, the casting interval for S-rank techniques is far too long."

"For an Elementalist, an excessively long casting interval is a fatal flaw."

"These three A+ rank techniques are perfect for you—casting intervals won't be too long,"

"their psychic drain isn't excessive, and you can fire hundreds of them in a single battle."

"That's precisely why I recommend these three for you to learn."

What's the most terrifying aspect of a psychic's Elementalist path?

Undoubtedly, their terrifying continuous casting ability—transforming into a spell artillery platform for overwhelming firepower.

Spells with excessive energy drain clearly can't achieve this effect.

She also knew Xu Jingming already mastered several S-rank combat techniques; forcing him to learn more would be a burden.

And in battle, he doesn't need so many powerful S-rank techniques.

He can learn further once his rank increases and his psychic energy becomes sufficient.

"Understood." Xu Jingming nodded inwardly.

It's like playing a game—ultimate skills are indeed powerful.

But true experts always chain together numerous small skills before unleashing their ultimate.

Otherwise, if you only learn ultimates and miss one, you're dead.

Of course,

reality isn't a game—once his rank rises further, turning ultimates into routine skills will be effortless.

At high-level fourth rank, he's still too low...

"As you saw in the contract, all our Thunder Sect combat techniques are free for you to access."

"To learn these three spell-based techniques, just go to the library on the south side of the training grounds."

Su Qingli said slowly.

Combat technique manuals have always been what Awakeners value most.

In fact, most of the Awakeners who joined Lei Ting Wu Guan came for these manuals.

But even so, learning these manuals still requires paying no small price.

Just from this point alone, it was indeed very preferential treatment for Xu Jingming.

Of course,

the other's SS-rank Ability, as well as monstrous advancement speed, were indeed worthy of such preferential treatment.

After a pause, Su Qingli added:

"However, I suggest you first thoroughly understand the Spirit Refining Art before studying these combat techniques.

After all, only after learning the Spirit Refining Art can one truly be called an Elementalist.

The might of these spell-type combat techniques will also be greatly enhanced."

"Understood, teacher."

Xu Jingming agreed on the surface, but in his heart he had already begun planning to head to the library to take a look later.

There were still 16,000 Ability Points left on the system panel, which should be enough for him to finish learning this SS-rank Spirit Refining Art, as well as three spell-type combat techniques.

"The Spirit Refining Art, as well as combat technique study planning, are what I as a teacher should teach you."

Su Qingli said with a smile, looking at Xu Jingming.

Then her right hand clenched in the air, and immediately a 'staff' nearly two meters long appeared in her hand.

This 'staff' was entirely black, its surface covered in mysterious runes.

And at the tip, a transparent crystal core flickering with lightning was embedded.

"Every Elementalist needs an elemental weapon.

This 'Yao Lei Zhang' is a lightning-element exclusive elemental weapon I used in my earlier years.

Now I present it to you, as a gift for becoming my disciple."
