Chapter 623: Population Auction! The Princess of Xilan!

The Hilton Hotel lobby, with a total of 50 seats.

Xu Jingming and Hearing Ling Shuang found seat number 23 with ease.

Unlike ordinary seats, this one was somewhat like a private theater's sofa bed.

Even with two people lying on it, there was plenty of room to spare.

Perhaps it was because Hearing Ling Shuang's figure and looks were simply too stunning.

No sooner had they sat down than three or four groups of people came looking for them.

The content of the conversations was much the same as Mark's — they all wanted to swap partners once the ceremony began.

Hearing Ling Shuang hadn't quite understood at first, but once she connected it with the doctrines of the Midie Sect, she finally realized what they were referring to.

So she coldly refused them all with stern words.

As for Xu Jingming, thanks to the broad range of knowledge he'd picked up in his previous life,

he already had a pretty good idea of what this so-called gathering was really about.

It was probably nothing more than a group orgy.

The Midie Sect was merely the organizer, taking the chance to promote its own doctrines.

"Devout followers, sorry to keep you waiting."

When the time struck exactly 9 p. m., Mike strode up to the very front of the hall and spoke in English:

"Among your 50 pairs of members, most of you have taken part in our gathering more than once.

Of course, there are also new members joining for the first time.

Veteran members need not be told twice — just enjoy yourselves without worry.

New members need not worry either; our Midie Sect will guide you to the very peak of bliss!

Now, before the ceremony begins, let us first move into this session's auction to warm things up.

Everyone may bid using the bidding device you received upon entry — highest bid wins."

As his words fell, the crowd below buzzed with excited, hushed discussion.

"So there's an auction too — no wonder they gave us a bidding device." Xu Jingming realized.

But the Midie Sect was nothing more than an unsightly evil cult — where would they get anything good to auction off?

Hearing Ling Shuang beside him also knit her delicate brows slightly.

Right now she just wanted to drag out the Midie Sect's cult leader as quickly as possible.

"This auction features a total of 30 lots.

Now, let us begin the bidding for the first lot!"

To Mike's booming voice, four boxes roughly two meters tall and shrouded in cloth were wheeled up.

Swoosh—

An attendant beside them yanked hard, and the cloth was pulled away.

What appeared before everyone's eyes were not boxes at all, but four cages.

The so-called lots were not goods — they were four living, breathing young women!

These four girls were all quite young, around twenty years old.

Fair-skinned and beautiful, with shapely, curvy figures.

They wore only the thinnest of clothing, with large swathes of spring scenery on display.

Yet they showed not a trace of shyness — instead, their eyes brimmed with the light of spring.

As their gazes shifted and flowed, they seemed to carry endless allure.

"They're actually auctioning off people." Xu Jingming's heart gave a start.

He had heard of auctions like this long ago, but this was his first time seeing one.

"So those girls who were taken away are all here!"

Hearing Ling Shuang's pretty face chilled slightly, a faint killing intent glinting in her eyes.

"Four girls, all under 23 years of age.

All are enhancement-type beast-series Rank-1 upper-tier ability users."

Accompanying Mike's voice, the four girls activated their abilities simultaneously.

They transformed into cute cat-girls, striking boldly seductive poses.

"All four girls have been brainwashed by a Rank-7 psychic-type ability user within our sect — absolutely loyal!

Buy them for your use at home, and you needn't worry at all about them running away or committing suicide."

A smile spread across Mike's face. "Starting bid: 700,000 Blue Star coins, with each raise no less than 100,000 Blue Star coins! Bidding begins now!"

"900,000!"

"1,000,000!"

"1,200,000!"

"..."

As Mike's words fell, the crowd below immediately began scrambling to bid.

In the end, the four girls were bought by a fat-headed, big-eared elderly white man for 1,300,000 Blue Star coins.

"Master~~"

Unlike ordinary auctions, the Midie Sect's auction was an on-the-spot transaction.

Once the middle-aged white man paid the funds, under Mike's control,

the four girls first went blank for a moment, then threw themselves at the middle-aged man with great enthusiasm.

The middle-aged white man didn't mind at all, immediately embracing them on either side on the sofa bed, looking thoroughly pleased with himself.

"This Midie Sect gathering is really that bold.

Not only do they kidnap people, they even dare to brainwash and sell them! If you don't die, who will?"

Xu Jingming shook his head inwardly.

In Great Xia, apart from the Public Security Bureau,

it is absolutely forbidden for psychic-type ability users to brainwash and control other ability users.

Human trafficking is also a capital offense.

Although Moben's laws are far more lenient than Great Xia's,

cults like this are likewise targets of severe crackdowns.

"1.5 million Blue Star coins, just to buy 4 women! That old Sam is really rich!"

"Cut the crap, he's the procurement manager of the Silver Moon Chamber of Commerce — that's a fat position, how could he not have money?"

"True enough, but I personally don't care for the brainwashed kind — no fun at all.

I prefer women with a clear consciousness; training them is far more interesting that way."

"..."

The pot-bellied middle-aged man seemed to be no stranger at Midie Sect gatherings — quite a few people knew him.

Xu Jingming, however, was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected to hear the name Silver Moon Chamber of Commerce here.

The auction continued, just like the first lot.

The subsequent lots were all humans — beautiful women or handsome men, one way or another.

Their ranks varied — ordinary people as well as ability users.

The highest among them was even a fifth-rank ability user, who could serve as a bodyguard right after purchase.

"Next up, the 27th collectible!"

Time flew by, and it was soon past 10 p. m.

The auction was drawing to a close, yet Mike, the host, showed not the slightest slackening.

On the contrary, he grew even more excited; amid her high-pitched voice, another cage was wheeled up.

Swoosh—

The curtain was drawn back, and a young girl came into everyone's view.

Unlike the carefully dressed girls before,

this young girl's clothes were tattered all over, making her look travel-worn.

Even so, one could still tell her looks were a tier above the girls who had appeared earlier.

And judging from the glimpses of spring revealed through her torn clothes, her figure was quite nice — curvy in all the right places.

"I'm sure everyone knows that just over ten days ago, the Xilan Duchy was unfortunately breached by a beast tide.

The United Nations is organizing ability users to take part in the rescue, and this — is the former noble Princess of the Xilan Duchy, Elaina!"

The moment Mike said this, the whole venue erupted in an uproar.

The Xilan Duchy was a small country on Blue Star, with a total population of barely ten million.

Its strongest was only an eighth-rank lower Weida Sect Master.

Earlier, there had already been news that ferocious beasts had broken through the border, sending citizens fleeing for their lives.

But no one had expected the Midie Sect to actually get their hands on the Xilan Duchy's Princess!

"Princess Elaina is 25 this year, possessing the support-type A-rank ability 'Gentle Holy Water.'

Third-rank upper tier; once the ability is activated, she is gentle and yielding as water.

She can also restore stamina — absolutely capable of bringing you to the pinnacle of ecstasy!

Additionally, she is completely natural and untouched, without any brainwashing from us.

The buyer may train her themselves after purchase, or entrust us to handle it for you."

Mike said with a beaming smile:

"So without further ado — Princess Elaina of the Xilan Duchy.

Starting bid: 5 million Blue Star coins! Each increment no less than 500,000 Blue Star coins!"

As the words fell, the crowd immediately stirred.

A royal family member — that status alone was enough to make one's heart race.

Not to mention Elaina also possessed the extremely rare support-type A-rank ability!

At that moment, Yiwa's excited voice suddenly rang out in Xu Jingming's mind:

"S-rank! Quick! Quick, bid for her — she's of great use!"

PS: The shot of Eileen in the cave got censored — ridiculous, I could only change the description......
