Chapter 810: Secret Realm Rules! Kill When Necessary!

When Xu Jingming shared his doubts with Hearing Ling Shuang, she merely smiled and said:

"Although the Yell Secret Realm has many rare flowers and herbs, most of them are below Grade A.

In truth, there aren't that many rare flowers and herbs above Grade A, so there aren't that many rare ones to consume.

Besides, for us eighth-rank Grandmasters, even the effects of Grade S rare flowers and herbs are no longer very pronounced.

Only Grade SS, or even Grade SSS rare flowers and herbs can serve to enhance us.

But Grade SS and Grade SSS rare flowers and herbs that haven't been processed into pills contain too many impurities.

Within a month, you can consume at most one or two stalks; any more and it may affect your own development.

For the nation, you sneaking a stalk or two of Grade SS, or Grade SSS rare flowers and herbs, is really no big deal."

Every medicine has its poison; although rare flowers and herbs possess all sorts of special effects, they likewise have side effects.

It's just that these side effects aren't obvious, that's all.

If you consume too many rare flowers and herbs within a short period, you'll definitely run into big trouble in the end.

"So that's how it is." Xu Jingming finally understood.

Indeed, without such a restriction, the Great Xia could never have allowed ability-users like them to enter the Yell Secret Realm to gather rare flowers and herbs.

"Among you thirty people, quite a few are entering the Yell Secret Realm for the first time. Now let me give you an overview of the Yell Secret Realm."

Lord Xue Jian waved his hand grandly, and the entire modern plaza instantly transformed its scenery, becoming a lush, verdant jungle.

At the same time, everyone—including Xu Jingming—felt their bodies grow heavy.

"The Yell Secret Realm covers roughly 3.1 million square kilometers, and more than half of that area is the jungle region currently being simulated.

Besides that, there are also desert, hill, river, and other regions.

Additionally, the Yell Secret Realm's greatest feature is that its gravity is ten times ours.

This requires special attention—your sprinting speed and flying speed will both be affected.

Even more critical is your weapons; Weapon weight will become ten times its original.

I suggest that before entering the Yell Secret Realm, you all uniformly switch to somewhat lighter weapons.

Or use weapons whose weight can be adjusted; otherwise, wielding them will be very strenuous..."

Lord Xue Jian introduced in detail.

"3.1 million square kilometers—roughly one-third of Great Xia's land area."

Xu Jingming silently converted the figure in his mind.

For ordinary people, this area was undoubtedly an enormous number; walking for a year or two probably wouldn't be enough to traverse it.

But for the eighth-rank Grandmasters present, it was nothing.

Even with tenfold gravity, a month's time was more than enough to sweep through it once.

"It's just that the tenfold gravity feature is a bit troublesome."

Xu Jingming furrowed his brow.

His two long spears—one Grade SSS, one Grade SS—had both been forged.

The former weighed 30 tons, the latter as much as 100 tons!

Under tenfold gravity, they would become 300 tons and 1,000 tons respectively.

Although he could lift them both, using them as weapons would undoubtedly be somewhat strenuous.

"Good thing the two long spears can adjust their weight according to the intensity of ability energy injected; otherwise, I'd have to pick new weapons."

Xu Jingming planned to test in the virtual world shortly just how heavy a weapon he could wield flexibly at most.

That way, once he went to the Yell Secret Realm, he could adjust the weight accordingly.

"Although the Yell Secret Realm abounds in rare flowers and herbs, there are several places where they grow especially luxuriantly."

Lord Xue Jian shifted his gesture, and a miniature map of the Yell Secret Realm appeared in midair.

The map as a whole was elongated, but its edges were not very smooth, resembling sawteeth.

On this map, there were also 21 points of light distributed in different directions, twinkling with radiance.

"These 21 locations are what we call Hundred Flower Valleys, numbered 1 through 21 respectively.

The lower the number of the Hundred Flower Valley, the more rare flowers and herbs grow within it.

So the moment you enter the secret realm, you must determine your position, then immediately set out toward the nearest Hundred Flower Valley."

Having said that, Lord Xue Jian waved his hand again, and another dozen or so locations were marked out:

"The Yell Secret Realm is not entirely without danger. Besides harboring large numbers of fierce beasts, it also contains some extremely bizarre regions.

These regions are what we call Death Zones—the locations marked on the map.

Even eighth-rank Grandmasters who enter them will almost certainly face a hairbreadth chance of survival.

Unless absolutely necessary, do not approach these regions on the map."

As his words fell, the many eighth-rank Grandmasters immediately began whispering among themselves.

They had originally assumed the Yell Secret Realm was a paradise where one could pluck rare flowers and herbs anywhere, never expecting such danger.

But upon hearing this, Xu Jingming's eyes lit up.

What had he heard?

Fierce beasts!

He had originally thought he wouldn't be able to gain ability points during this month in the secret realm.

But he hadn't expected the Yell Secret Realm to also contain fierce beasts!

"But then again, fierce beasts and rare flowers and herbs complement each other; wherever there are rare flowers and herbs, fierce beasts will most likely appear."

Xu Jingming rejoiced inwardly.

This way, he could once again harvest ability points by hunting fierce beasts!

After that, Lord Xue Jian went on at length about the terrain of the Yell Secret Realm and other points to note.

"Everything just now related to the Yell Secret Realm will be marked on the map and sent to your communication watches.

But compared to what I'm about to say next, that hardly counts as the main point."

Another ten minutes passed, and his expression suddenly grew solemn, his tone dropping considerably.

Including Xu Jingming, every eighth-rank Grandmaster present immediately straightened their faces.

They knew that what Lord Xue Jian was about to say would absolutely concern their life and death.

Sure enough, they saw his gaze turn cold as he spoke, a faint chill threading through his voice:

"In principle, the strong from various countries who enter the Yell Secret Realm may fight and kill each other for exotic flowers and rare herbs, but killing is forbidden.

But we ninth-rank ability users have no way to enter the secret realm, and no way to control what happens inside.

So I hope you won't cling to the rules — when special circumstances arise, kill when you should!

Whatever the consequences, I'll bear them!"

Everyone present was momentarily stunned at these words, but immediately caught on and said in unison:

"Understood!"

"Good that you understand."

Lord Xue Jian nodded slightly, a faint cruel look surfacing on his handsome face:

"Our Great Xia is a land of propriety and righteousness — we won't break the rules unless absolutely necessary.

But unfortunately, our being able to keep the rules doesn't mean other countries can keep them!"

In the very first session when the Yell Secret Realm had just opened, the death rates of other countries were only around one-fifth.

Only Great Xia's death rate reached a terrifying one-third!

They had thought Great Xia was simply unlucky, stumbling into a death trap, but only learned afterward that the strong from other countries had simply not kept the rules at all!

From then on, before Great Xia's strong entered the Yell Secret Realm, they would be told emphatically not to hold back.

And only then did Great Xia's death rate return to normal.

"This Lord Lord Xue Jian has quite a heavy killing intent."

Xu Jingming grinned, "But that's perfect — I like it too."

He had never been a merciful man; when he met someone who deserved killing, killing them would weigh on him not at all......
