Chapter 130: Preparing for Magic Golem Production
'Well...'
'If it really is a greenhouse, then I truly don't have anything good to reference.'
'But I can definitely note down the idea of enclosing some land. I'll see if it's possible to set that up later.'
"Looks like those little cuties will just have to suffer a bit for now."
Lan Qingyou muttered to herself as she set down the Card in her hand.
It wasn't that she was purely driven by aesthetics, wanting to give those Elf Butterflies a home simply because they were beautiful...
Okay, she was indeed somewhat swayed by their looks, but that wasn't the main point. The important thing was that since so many had already hatched, she needed to consider their future breeding.
The entire first floor was only a few hundred square meters. That tiny area couldn't possibly be enough for the Elf Butterflies to breed, right?
More accurately, it wouldn't be enough for the propagation of any species at all.
That way, even if some of them flew away in the future, a portion would still stay behind to pollinate her medicinal field.
'Forget it.'
'I don't even know how Elf Butterflies actually breed yet anyway.'
'The lifespan of an Elf Butterfly isn't like those normal butterflies back on Blue Star that only live for a few days or weeks. I'll deal with whatever comes up later.'
Shaking her head, Lan Qingyou pulled out a freshly made sheet of paper, grabbed a set square, and began drafting and sketching.
Tower: "Chariot, how is the processing for the Orichalcum and Iron Ore going?"
As night fell, Lan Qingyou stopped her pen and sent a message to the Chariot.
Chariot: "I've already produced quite a few Orichalcum and iron plates of varying specifications. Do you need them right now?"
Tower: "No, I just finished designing some blueprints. Take a look first, then help me cut the materials to size."
With that, Lan Qingyou sent over a dozen A0-sized blueprints to Orff, the Chariot. The large sheets were covered in various designs and densely packed with data.
High Priestess: "Are you starting to build a Golem?"
Tower: "Yes."
Chariot: "No problem. I am also quite curious to see how this Golem you designed turns out."
On his end, the Chariot chuckled upon receiving Lan Qingyou's blueprints. He replied briefly and immediately began studying them.
However, the more he looked at them, the more he felt that something was off.
Chariot: "@Tower, although I don't plan to delve into Golem manufacturing, I've still read a bit about it. Isn't there something wrong with these designs?"
Tower: "Nothing is wrong. Just follow them exactly as drawn. I thought this through for a long time."
Chariot: "Alright, since you insist, I will start cutting the materials tomorrow. What is the specific quantity?"
Tower: "Twenty."
Chariot: "We might be a bit short on materials for that many."
Moon: "I am already purchasing more from the Magician's side, but the progress is a bit slow."
Tower: "It is fine. Tomorrow I will brew a hundred cauldrons of basic Mana Potions."
Moon: "That should cover it then. However, it would be good to make some basic Healing Potions too. After all, they are life-saving items, so they fetch a higher price and are easier to sell."
Tower: "Let's split it fifty-fifty then."
Chariot: "Then we won't have any issues."
The Pope: "Tower, how exactly did you make that mana energy shield of yours? Tell this old man about it. I want to go night fishing tonight."
Right as their discussion grew heated, the avid angler Nemo popped into the chat.
Lan Qingyou's lips twitched. The old man was so obsessed with night fishing that he was starting to lose his mind.
Now that he had a chance, he was definitely going to ask Lan Qingyou for advice.
Tower: "To be precise, the full name of this energy shield of mine should be the Mana Alchemy Shield."
Judgement: "What is the difference?"
Tower: "When your level, experience, and knowledge aren't high enough, you can only make up for it using Alchemy. [Thorium Ink] Generally speaking, it relies on this stuff."
The Star: "Haha, I didn't expect it could be used like that. As expected of the first person to earn a Title, your mind works fast. Do you still want that second tent?"
Tower: "Of course. I will use it as a spare. It is always better to be safe than sorry."
The Star: "I will send it over in a bit then. Could you draw one for my tent while you are at it?"
Tower: "No problem."
The Empress: "Tower, do you have any left? Send some ink my way too. I want to see if I can draw some on my fences."
Tower: "Sure. I will teleport the leftovers to you tomorrow after I finish drawing."
The Empress: "Is this stuff hard to make?"
Tower: "The main issue is that the materials are hard to get."
Judgement: "Thorium, huh? I really haven't heard of it before."
Tower: "No, the Thorium itself isn't the problem. The key issue is that softening Thorium requires an extremely high temperature. Right now, even my Alchemy Array cannot reach that level."
Chariot: "Interesting. I accept this challenge. Send a piece over and let me try."
The Magician: "Send a piece to me to try as well."
High Priestess: "A challenge? Let me take a look at it too."
For a while, the group chat was blazing with excitement over the Thorium issue. Of course, without exception, everyone ended up failing.
The next day, Lan Qingyou began brewing potions.
Naturally, since she only had one Crucible, the other ninety-nine batches of potions were all D-minus inferior versions.
Although they were called inferior, the difference in quality was merely a few to a dozen points of recovery power.
They were still highly popular among the merchants.
During her free moments, Lan Qingyou also managed to draw the Magic Circuits on the two tents sent by Ruan Qingyi. With her current potion-brewing proficiency, she could easily spare that much time.
As an aside, after finishing the drawings, she stepped outside to check on the tent situated right by the Stream.
After a whole night, the tent remained completely unharmed. It had only lost about a hundred energy points, which meant it had probably been attacked.
'I will leave it there for another two days and observe.'
Since she had plenty of other tasks lined up, Lan Qingyou did not pay too much attention to the tent anymore. Instead, after finalizing the work on the three tents, she began writing a thesis on her Card.
This thesis mainly elaborated on the theories about Magic Power she had discussed previously.
Magic Power possessed distinct differences. This wasn't a matter of elemental attributes, but rather something inherent between all things in the world; meaning, the Magic Power of every individual and every species possessed subtle variations...
Over the entire afternoon, Lan Qingyou eloquently typed out nearly twelve thousand words.
She covered everything from the mineral conversion inside the bodies of Mountain-Eating Beasts to her experiments with magic rats, as well as the development of solidification and softening potions.
She wrote about how suffering from diarrhea didn't deplete Health Points but rather drained personal Magic Power, and detailed the relationship between Magic Circuits and Magic Power output.
In short, she jotted down absolutely everything she could think of, still maintaining her chaotic style of simply writing whatever popped into her head.
By the time she finished this thesis, her potion brewing for the day was also just about complete.
After letting the concoctions cool and settle a bit, she sent the potions, along with the cauldrons, straight over to Shang Chuan.
For the next few days, Lan Qingyou essentially lived her life exactly like this.
It wasn't until the third wave of Mana Turbulence was about to arrive that the Chariot finally finished crafting all the parts Lan Qingyou had ordered.
These components were the parts for the Golem she had designed.
Her next task was to assemble these parts and engrave them with magic runes, Magic Circuits, enchantments, commands, and a host of other complex elements.
