Chapter 7

"Such a huge thing just happened."

"I couldn't not come even if I wanted to!"

At this moment, Elder Li was staring at the stellar phenomenon.

A thick wave of astonishment surfaced in his eyes.

Such a gorgeous, breathtaking phenomenon.

Even after he had been stationed at the Job-Change Temple for several decades, this was still his first time seeing it!

Then.

Elder Li looked toward the principal, Wang Herun.

A hint of envy surfaced in his eyes: "You kid really hit the jackpot this time…"

"If I'm not mistaken, this student's awakened class should be five-star!"

Wang Herun's eyes went wide: "F-five-star class?!"

The phenomenon when Jiang Li awakened was indeed astonishing.

But it shouldn't have reached five-star, right?

A five-star class…

Every awakener is without exception a Child of Destiny!

Throughout all of the Nine Provinces, from the very beginning until now, only a mere handful have ever appeared!

"See for yourself."

In response, Elder Li did not offer much explanation.

Instead, he tilted his chin up, gesturing for Wang Herun to look at the situation ahead.

Wang Herun barely managed to steady his emotions.

But the next moment.

His eyes went wide once again…

Within the slowly rotating nebula, a beam of light suddenly burst forth!

And under everyone's gaze.

It condensed into a bright, dazzling star!

"Whoosh…"

The star plummeted down from the firmament.

It then landed on the Job-Change Divine Stone, lighting up one of the grooves within… signifying one-star aptitude!

It wasn't over yet.

Two, three, four, five… five dazzling stars in a row spanned across the sky!

"Five stars… a five-star class?!"

At this point.

Wang Herun finally believed it.

One star represents one-star aptitude.

So, what five stars represented naturally needed no further words!

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

"Whoosh!"

Then.

The stars fell one by one.

The grooves on the divine stone symbolizing class aptitude were also lit up one by one… the halo brighter than ever before!

However.

Just as the fifth star was about to fall.

The nebula rotating overhead suddenly trembled.

The stars actually shattered in an instant!

And the grooves on the divine stone faded one by one… ultimately leaving behind only one dim star.

"Wh-what's going on?!"

The sudden change made everyone present turn pale with shock!

Wang Herun's face was full of disbelief.

He wished he could rush right up there to see exactly what had happened…

But to avoid causing panic among the others.

He still restrained his impulse as much as possible, waiting for the old mage to announce,

And in the center of the great hall.

The old mage was utterly stunned.

Looking at the class information displayed on the divine stone.

Disbelief filled his eyes.

But he still had no choice but to announce: "Jiang Li, awakened one-star combat class… Warrior…"

"Whoa!"

Hearing this result.

Everyone present erupted in an uproar.

Just now it had clearly already reached a four-star class, and was on the verge of reaching five-star.

So how did it suddenly drop to one-star?

"No… impossible…"

Wang Herun clenched his fist.

And Elder Li frowned deeply.

He looked toward the dome, a holy light flashing in his eyes, as if perceiving something…

"Nothing?"

His expression turned ugly.

The knight armor on his body erupted with a swath of holy white light, instantly shooting skyward.

He arrived above the temple.

Elder Li surveyed back and forth, missing no detail, yet could not find a single trace…

With no choice.

Elder Li could only return to the temple.

The anxious principal Wang Herun immediately stepped forward to ask, "E… Elder Li…"

"What on earth is going on?"

"Why did it become like this?"

Elder Li's expression was grave,

He forcefully suppressed the anger in his heart.

"I suspect someone secretly intervened and severed Jiang Li's fortune!"

Then his face darkened again: "However, I couldn't find a single clue…"

"Severed his fortune?"

Wang Herun was stunned.

He then recalled a certain rumor.

Ten years ago, there was a genius who, during the awakening process, was attacked by a foreign-race monster, and the awakening ritual was forcibly interrupted, so that he, who should have awakened a five-star class, ultimately only awakened a two-star class… but he had always thought this was just a legend.

Seeing him fall silent.

Elder Li exhaled and said firmly: "Don't worry, I will get to the bottom of this!"

"This is to give you an answer."

"It is also… to give him an answer…"

…
