Chapter 54: Supreme Healing Ointment

~6 min read 1,116 words

The National Grand Theater was brilliantly lit and filled with roaring crowds. Xia Yunge's "Song of the Clouds" solo concert was about to begin, fans holding up glow sticks, eagerly awaiting her appearance. Behind the scenes, Xia Yunge was making her final preparations: her makeup flawless, her lavish performance attire making her look like a fairy fallen to earth—but her slightly trembling fingers betrayed her nervousness.

This nervousness did not come entirely from the stage. Her gaze kept flicking toward a special VIP box ticket on the dressing table—the one reserved for Qin Feng. Would he… come?

Meanwhile, in the theater's best box—with the most perfect view—no one was alone. Ye Lingyun had already taken his seat, holding a glass of champagne, elegant and poised, as if he were tonight's true star. He had arrived early specifically to secure this vantage point to clearly observe Qin Feng's reactions. Beside him sat a middle-aged man in a Zhongshan suit, calm and composed, one of his strategists.

"Everything arranged?" Ye Lingyun sipped his wine, asking casually.

"Rest assured, Young Master, everything is on schedule," the man whispered. "The representative from Deep Sea Investments, Mr. William, has also arrived—he's in the adjacent box. He expressed great eagerness to meet with you for detailed discussions."

Ye Lingyun's lips curled slightly as he nodded. His goal today was not merely to observe Qin Feng, but to use this opportunity to make contact with the hidden force behind Deep Sea Investments—the very group obstructing Qin Feng's Deep Sea project. An enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Time passed second by second; the concert officially began. Xia Yunge's ethereal voice filled the theater, sending fans into raptures. But Ye Lingyun's attention was entirely fixed on the opposite box—still empty.

Only halfway through the third song did the box door silently open.

Qin Feng arrived.

He did not come surrounded by entourage, as Ye Lingyun had imagined—he brought only Su Wenqian. Dressed in a well-tailored dark casual outfit, his expression calm, he entered the box and sat down casually, his gaze fixed on the stage, as if he were merely attending an ordinary performance.

Ye Lingyun's spirit sharpened; he immediately gave a subtle glance to the man beside him.

The concert proceeded smoothly; Xia Yunge's performance grew stronger. But during a high-difficulty stage routine requiring wirework, an accident occurred!

Perhaps due to aging equipment—or sabotage (a faint, almost imperceptible smirk flickered across Ye Lingyun's lips)—one of the pulleys securing the wire suddenly emitted a shrill screech; the load-bearing cable snapped violently! Xia Yunge lurched violently mid-air, losing balance. Though other safety systems activated instantly, preventing her fall, her calf scraped against a sharp decorative edge on the stage's rim, opening a deep gash that bled to the bone!

"Ah—!" Xia Yunge cried out in pain, her face instantly turning pale.

The entire audience erupted in chaos! Fans screamed; staff rushed onto the stage in panic.

The backstage team instantly descended into turmoil. The team doctor examined her, face grim: "The wound is deep. She needs immediate hospital suturing. It will definitely leave a scar—and… the rest of the performance is likely impossible."

Xia Yunge sweated from the pain, but what crushed her more was the thought of a scar and the canceled show—for an artist whose career depended on her image, this was nearly devastating.

At that moment, Su Wenqian stepped swiftly into the chaotic backstage, arriving beside Xia Yunge, holding a small, ancient-looking jade box.

"Miss Xia, General Qin asked me to give you this," Su Wenqian opened the jade box, revealing a lustrous, jade-green ointment inside, emitting a refreshing, soothing medicinal fragrance.

"This is…" Xia Yunge and the doctor both froze.

"Supreme Healing Ointment," Su Wenqian explained calmly. "Applied externally to wounds, it instantly stops bleeding and numbs pain, accelerates muscle and bone healing, restores full function within twelve hours, leaving no scar whatsoever."

"What?!" the team doctor gasped in disbelief. "That's impossible! No such medicine exists in the world!"

Su Wenqian ignored the doctor's protest and turned to Xia Yunge: "General Qin says the choice is yours."

Xia Yunge stared at the jade-green ointment. Without a moment's hesitation, she trusted Qin Feng blindly. "I'll use it."

As the ointment touched the wound, an intensely soothing coolness instantly replaced the searing pain; bleeding stopped immediately. More astonishingly, the gruesome wound began closing at a visible rate, fresh tissue slowly growing!

Less than ten minutes later, the wound was over half healed, leaving only a faint pink scar.

Everyone stared, dumbfounded—as if witnessing a miracle.

The team doctor trembled with excitement, eager to approach and study it—but Su Wenqian politely yet firmly blocked him.

"This… this is a miracle!" Xia Yunge touched her calf, now nearly painless, overwhelmed with joy. She turned toward Qin Feng's box, her eyes brimming with boundless gratitude—and something deeper.

Fifteen minutes later, after light retouching and adjustment, Xia Yunge returned to the stage. Her face was slightly pale, but her movements were nearly unaffected. She explained the minor accident to the audience and insisted on completing the rest of the performance, earning even louder applause and admiration.

Everyone assumed it was merely a close call and good fortune.

Only Ye Lingyun, inside his box, had witnessed everything. His wine glass nearly shattered in his grip; his face darkened, as if dripping with storm clouds.

His meticulously planned accident had not forced Qin Feng to intervene (he'd expected Qin Feng to at most use connections to summon top surgeons)—instead, the man had produced a medicine unheard of, its effects bordering on supernatural!

Stopped bleeding, regenerated flesh, no scar? Full recovery in twelve hours?

What terrifying biotech power and commercial value did this drug represent?! Far more shocking than Deep Sea exploration or even Chip technology!

"That kid… how many more cards does he have?!" Ye Lingyun's mind was swept by a storm of shock.

In the adjacent box, Mr. William, the Deep Sea Investments representative, had also watched everything through binoculars. A flash of intense greed lit his blue eyes; he immediately sent an encrypted report to headquarters:

"Target possesses bioregenerative technology beyond current scientific capability! Repeat: target possesses super-tech bioregenerative technology! Value incalculable! Recommend upgrading threat level and revising contact strategy—'Guan Zhou' must acquire at least one of these two: the technology or the product!"

The concert continued—but beneath the surface, currents had surged to their peak.

Qin Feng had merely unveiled a single jar of ointment—and instantly overturned every hidden agenda in the room, drawing himself into even more dangerous spotlight.

The Supreme Healing Ointment revealed not only its healing power, but also the tiniest tip of an iceberg capable of driving the entire world mad.
