Chapter 86: Was It You Who Hit Him?

~7 min read 1,207 words

The atmosphere of the class reunion turned subtle yet lively after Qin Feng arrived; everyone surrounded him like stars circling the moon, their conversation always revolving around his wealth, his company, and the flattering compliments tinged with envy and sycophancy.

Qin Feng responded with poise, but his thoughts were more focused on simple catch-up with his old friend Wang Hao; he maintained a polite yet distant attitude toward the other classmates' clearly opportunistic approaches.

After several rounds of toasts and pleasantries, Qin Feng felt it was enough and prepared to rise and take his leave; such superficial socializing held little meaning for him.

Yet just as he signaled to the class monitor Zhao Kun that he was ready to leave, the door to the private room was roughly shoved open.

A young man in a garish shirt, arrogant and drunk, stumbled in clinging to a heavily made-up woman, followed by two rough-looking henchmen.

"Oh? This room's pretty lively!" The young man belched, his eyes sweeping the room with a slant, lingering a moment on several well-dressed female classmates with unhidden lewdness.

The cheerful atmosphere inside the room froze instantly.

Zhao Kun, as the organizer, forced himself forward: "Sir, have you mistaken the room? This is our private gathering."

"Private gathering?" The young man sneered, shoving Zhao Kun aside, "I come when I want! What, not welcome?" His gaze swept over the drinks on the table, and he sneered, "Drinking this cheap junk? Looks like your class reunion isn't doing too well!"

His henchmen echoed his taunts with vulgar words.

Most classmates were ordinary office workers; seeing this group's menacing aura, they all fell silent, furious but too afraid to speak. A few men tried to step forward, but one glare from the intruders made them shrink back.

Qin Feng frowned slightly—he recognized the intruding young man as his half-brother, Qin Hao! He never expected to meet him here, of all places, and in this manner.

Qin Hao clearly failed to recognize Qin Feng, seated at the head table with his demeanor utterly transformed; his attention was fixed entirely on the seemingly "easy targets" among the classmates and the drinks on the table.

"Get out, get out, all of you move aside—I'm taking this table!" Qin Hao waved arrogantly, reaching for a recently opened bottle of premium red wine.

"Stop!" A voice rang out, thick with suppressed anger.

Everyone turned—the speaker was Wang Hao, usually seen as gentle and honest! His face flushed red as he stepped between Qin Hao and the table: "This is our class reunion. Please leave!"

Wang Hao had always been righteous in high school, unable to tolerate bullying the weak; seeing this unreasonable harassment, his blood boiled and he stepped forward.

"Hey? You fat bastard, dare to block me?" Qin Hao, drunk and enraged at being challenged, didn't think—he swung his palm straight at Wang Hao's face!

"Slap!"

A sharp crack echoed.

Everyone froze in shock.

But the one struck was not Wang Hao.

In the instant before Qin Hao's palm landed, a dark shadow flashed like a ghost; all present saw a blur—Qin Hao's wrist was seized in an iron grip, immobilized. The attacker—Lei Zhan, who had silently stood behind Qin Feng—had already struck back with lightning speed, slapping Qin Hao across the face!

The blow was heavy; Qin Hao staggered, half his cheek instantly swollen, a trickle of blood seeping from his lip.

The entire room fell utterly silent, not even a pin could drop.

The classmates stared in shock at Lei Zhan, then at Qin Feng, still seated calmly as if nothing had happened—terrified. This bodyguard… his speed and brutality were terrifying!

Qin Hao was stunned, taking several seconds to process it; he clutched his face, staring at Lei Zhan in disbelief and fury: "You… you dared hit me?! Do you know who I am?!"

Lei Zhan's expression was stone-cold, standing like a boulder before Wang Hao and Qin Feng, his gaze icy as he looked at Qin Hao like an ant.

"Fucking hell! Get him! Break him!" Qin Hao roared at his two henchmen, beside himself with rage.

Though intimidated by Lei Zhan's aura, the henchmen had no choice but to charge forward at their master's command.

Yet the moment they took a step, Lei Zhan didn't move—only his eyes hardened, unleashing a terrifying aura forged in mountains of corpses and rivers of blood; the two henchmen froze like deer caught in a tiger's gaze, every hair on their bodies standing on end, faces pale, too terrified to advance another inch!

Qin Hao himself recoiled half a step, the alcohol draining from his head; he pointed at Lei Zhan with bluster but no courage: "You… you wait! Don't you dare run!" He pulled out his phone, as if to call for help.

At that moment, a calm, unshaken voice broke the silence.

"I told him to hit you."

Everyone turned—the voice came from Qin Feng, slowly rising to his feet, his gaze cold and detached as it settled on Qin Hao.

Qin Hao heard the voice and found it vaguely familiar; when he looked up and saw Qin Feng's face, he froze as if seeing a ghost, eyes bulging wide, his phone dropping with a clatter to the floor.

"I… it's you?!" Qin Hao's voice cracked with terror. How could he not recognize Qin Feng? That day at the villa gate, Qin Feng hadn't even lifted a finger—and still destroyed his family (in his mind); that terror had long been buried deep in his soul.

Qin Feng stepped forward, towering over Qin Hao, his eyes devoid of any brotherly warmth, only cold scrutiny: "It seems last time's lesson wasn't deep enough. You still have money and leisure to come here and cause trouble?"

"I… I…" Qin Hao trembled violently, speechless; his earlier arrogance vanished, replaced by boundless fear. He now realized—he had barged into this demon's reunion, and nearly struck his man!

"Go." Qin Feng uttered one word, quiet but carrying undeniable authority.

Qin Hao felt as if granted amnesty; he didn't even pick up his fallen phone, dragging his two equally terrified henchmen out of the room in a frantic, humiliating scramble.

The room remained utterly silent.

All classmates stared at Qin Feng in stunned awe—watching him, with a single sentence, make that arrogant playboy flee in terror, watching the bodyguard behind him, like a battle god…

In that moment, they truly understood: this old classmate didn't just possess wealth—he wielded power and strength beyond their imagination!

Qin Feng ignored the stares, walked over to Wang Hao, and patted his shoulder: "You alright?"

Wang Hao shook his head, looking at Qin Feng with a complex gaze—gratitude, and awe.

Qin Feng nodded to the class monitor Zhao Kun: "Sorry for disrupting your gathering. I have other matters—I'll take my leave."

With that, he departed with Lei Zhan, walking calmly through a sea of reverent stares.

The remaining classmates exchanged glances, silent for a long time. Tonight's reunion would forever be etched in their memories. And Qin Feng's calm, powerful words—"I told him to hit you"—were deeply branded into every one of their minds.

They knew: from this day forward, Qin Feng and they were people of two different worlds.
