Chapter 90: Five-Star Difficulty Task

"Teacher Su, why do you want to go to Shenxia?" Zhou Chu asked, feeling somewhat puzzled.

Su Zhanghe couldn't help but sigh and said, "Actually, she had already obtained the qualification to teach at Shenxia University long ago, but for the sake of you students in this graduating class, she chose to stay at Tianhua No. 1 High School to continue teaching."

"She has always been someone who sees things through to the end; she couldn't bear to abandon you halfway and wanted to watch you all grow successfully and get into your ideal universities."

"But now that the assessments for your class are over and you are all about to go your separate ways, she feels her mission is accomplished. She wants to go to Shenxia University; for one, she can continue her educational work, and for another, she can come into contact with more outstanding students and cutting-edge teaching resources to further improve her own capabilities."

"Fortunately, Shenxia University never gave up on her and insisted on holding that position for her for three years!"

This matter had always been a secret kept in the hearts of the father and daughter for three years, and during this time, they hadn't spoken of it to anyone.

Hearing this account from Su Zhanghe, Zhou Chu felt deeply moved.

He hadn't expected that his homeroom teacher, Su Chang, had silently given up the excellent opportunity to teach at Shenxia University for the sake of their class, remaining steadfast at Tianhua No. 1 High School for three whole years.

It was precisely because of her meticulous, responsible attitude and persistence toward education that she had always been recognized and favored by Shenxia University.

Facts proved that everything Su Chang had insisted on doing all along was worth it.

And she was indeed a good teacher who cared for her students.

If there were a national selection for outstanding teachers, Su Chang would definitely be a model representative worthy of the title.

However, in Zhou Chu's impression, Su Chang was not a Combat Soul Professional, but a Soul Master from the auxiliary department.

A Soul Master, as the name implies, is a Soul Professional who sets up various Soul Stone Barriers and Soul Stone Arrays based on Soul Stones.

Therefore, over these three years, Su Chang had been the main person in charge of setting up various Soul Stone rituals at the school. Besides being the homeroom teacher of the Rocket Class, she also tracked and maintained all the Soul Stone facilities within the school.

And if Su Chang were to enter Shenxia University for teaching work in the future, she would likely still be dealing with such tasks.

Furthermore, based on the characteristics of her Soul Profession, she would certainly not be among the ranks of frontline instructors.

After all, almost all frontline instructors are Soul Professionals from the Combat Department or Combat Auxiliary Department.

However, being able to teach at the nation's number one institution of higher learning, even if not as a frontline instructor, comes with quite generous compensation.

It is far better than teaching at a high school.

In fact, although this meal today was to celebrate Zhou Chu winning the title of College Entrance Exam Top Scholar, it was also a farewell dinner hosted by Su Zhanghe, as a father, for his daughter Su Chang.

It was evident that Su Zhanghe's eyes were filled with reluctance.

But even more so, he felt happy because she had better prospects for development.

Therefore, Su Zhanghe drank a bit too much during this meal; his face flushed red and his eyes became somewhat unfocused, yet one could still see the complex emotions in his heart.

Finally, Zhou Chu helped Su Chang settle the slightly tipsy Su Zhanghe into bed to sleep.

Zhou Chu also intended to take his leave.

Because he was invited to attend a banquet at the City Lord Mansion in the evening, he had to prepare in advance and could not afford to be too late.

As for when to go to the school to handle the enrollment procedures, Zhou Chu didn't think it was urgent.

However, because of his connection with Su Chang, Zhou Chu felt it was better to do it sooner rather than later, so he decided to just go to Shenxia University tomorrow and finish the enrollment procedures.

Thus, Zhou Chu and Su Chang agreed to head to Shenxia University together early tomorrow morning.

After leaving the principal's house, Zhou Chu strolled along the street.

In fact, Zhou Chu did not want to attend the evening banquet.

Although it was said to be a banquet specifically held for Zhou Chu becoming the Top Scholar, who knew what it was really about.

But since it was an invitation from the City Lord, he felt embarrassed to decline.

However, Zhou Chu didn't want to be idle during this time. Just as he was thinking about what to do, he suddenly remembered that the Soul Profession Office was not far from here.

Zhou Chu had been thinking about upgrading his Life Soul Artifact to the next grade, but he hadn't saved up enough Soul Fragments; he only had a total of six thousand-plus at the moment.

He was still over three thousand short of ten thousand.

If one were to ask what could allow Zhou Chu to quickly gather these three thousand-plus Soul Fragments, it was undoubtedly climbing the tower.

So, Zhou Chu decided to take advantage of this spare time to run the Secret Realm Tower again.

It could earn him points and also provide a significant amount of Soul Fragments; it could be called killing two birds with one stone.

But when Zhou Chu arrived at the Secret Realm Tower, it was unfortunate that the tower happened to be under maintenance and would not be open for the next few days.

The reason was that after being affected by the Calamity Invasion, the Energy Source inside was extremely unstable and required a certain amount of time for adjustment and repair.

In this way, Zhou Chu's plan was completely disrupted.

Carrying a bit of disappointment, Zhou Chu could only turn and leave the Secret Realm Tower.

As he passed by the Soul Professional Guild, seeing the Soul Professionals coming and going, he decided to go into the Soul Professional Guild to take a look.

Moreover, he had never been inside before, and it would be good to pick up some task to earn a little money and pass the time.

Thus, Zhou Chu walked straight toward the Soul Profession Guild.

As soon as he stepped into the guild hall, a bustling and noisy atmosphere rushed toward him.

The hall was crowded with people, and all kinds of Soul Professionals were moving through it.

Some were stopping to check the task bulletin board, some were heatedly discussing task details with their companions, and others were handling task handover procedures with the guild staff.

If the busiest place in the morning was the vegetable market, then the busiest place in the afternoon was undoubtedly the Soul Profession Guild hall.

Subsequently, Zhou Chu wandered around the hall and came to the task bulletin board, his gaze scanning the rows of task cards.

These tasks were diverse, covering everything from going into the wild to collect materials to exploring wild ruins.

Among these task cards, Zhou Chu did take a fancy to a caravan escort task; the reward was quite generous, but the distance was a bit far, and he might not have enough time.

There was also a task to clear out an abandoned mine outside the city; the difficulty was not too high, and the reward was relatively small, with almost no profit to be made.

Just then, his gaze was attracted by a special task card emitting a faint golden light.

The card read:

"Assist in clearing the monster infestation in the Yunzhong Road Commercial Dungeon."

"Task Difficulty: Five Star."

"Reward: A large amount of Soul Fragments, one Epic-grade piece of equipment, and a certain amount of money..."

When Zhou Chu saw the reward for this mission, his eyes could not help but light up.

The reward actually included a Soul Fragment!

Generally speaking, the commissioned missions in the Soul Professional Guild hall range in difficulty from one to five Star Grades, and are marked with cards of different colors.

The golden mission card, five-Star Grade difficulty, is currently the highest difficulty mission.

Of course, what Zhou Chu valued was not the difficulty, but the Soul Fragment in the reward.

Besides this, there was also an Epic-grade piece of equipment and some monetary compensation.

With a mission like this, of course he had to take it!
