Chapter 267

Nami still looked dazed,

until she heard the eight hundred million Beli,

and her DNA instantly stirred!

Her eyes immediately began to glow,

and she directly transformed into the image of Beli!

However,

a moment later,

as the golden light of Nami's longing slowly faded,

she actually smiled quite freely,

and said to Vivi standing nearby:

"The money from the Rain Banquet was earned from the people of Alabasta '750'; it rightfully belongs to you!"

"Vivi, use these Beli to properly build this country!"

Hearing Nami's words,

Crocodile was instantly stunned!

At this very moment,

he once again remembered Li Xiao's parting instructions to him!

"If in the future a girl named Nami arrives before me, then this eight hundred million Beli can be given directly to her!"

So,

did he then predict that this girl named Nami

would hand this money over to Princess Vivi of Alabasta?

That is to say,

even back then,

he had already foreseen his own failure!

He had already seen that in the near future,

his years of planning and schemes

would be completely erased by the Straw Hat crew!

Thinking of this,

Crocodile couldn't help but draw in a cold breath!

He only felt that the man who had sliced open an entire desert with a single sword

instantly became even more unfathomable!

At this time,

Crocodile's mind couldn't help but recall once again

the words Li Xiao left behind when he departed!

"When I have cultivated successfully and can also slice an island with a single sword, why would I need the Pluton?"

Thinking and thinking,

Crocodile couldn't help but fall into deep contemplation...

Meanwhile,

Li Xiao, who had just ridden the clouds and mist away from the Florian Triangle, suddenly sneezed!

Li Xiao rubbed his nose,

and muttered in a low voice:

"Strange, with my current constitution, I can still sneeze?"

"Could it be that someone is cursing me, Li Mouren, behind my back?"

If Li Xiao had known the scene currently unfolding in Alabasta,

he would surely have slowly sent three question marks at Nami!

Heaven can bear witness!

He really just simply wanted Nami to take the money!

Otherwise, once Crocodile was arrested and imprisoned by the Marines,

wouldn't the debt that originally belonged to him just go to the Marines for free?

Did this silly cat not understand at all what this money was actually about?

————————

Half a day later,

on an island somewhere in the Grand Line,

Li Xiao stood on the shore,

handed the News Coo one hundred Beli,

and then took a newspaper from the News Coo's body.

Li Xiao looked down at the newspaper in his hand,

and after seeing the headline of this newspaper,

Li Xiao couldn't help but be slightly stunned!

The protagonist of today's newspaper headline

was none other than Crocodile!

Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea,

for interfering in the internal affairs of Alabasta,

inciting the populace and triggering an internal riot in Alabasta,

has now been defeated and arrested by Marine Headquarters Colonel Smoker!

Next,

Crocodile will be transferred to the great underwater prison—Impel Down—for imprisonment,

while simultaneously stripping him of his title as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and all related legal rights!

Furthermore,

following this incident,

given Smoker's outstanding performance,

Marine Headquarters has specifically promoted his rank,

from Marine Headquarters Colonel to Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral!

Promoted alongside him was his subordinate,

Marine Headquarters Master Chief Petty Officer Tashigi!

In fact,

regarding this report,

it is not quite false,

yet it cannot truly be called true either!

To be precise,

it can only be considered half-true and half-false!

The true part lies in the fact that

Crocodile did indeed interfere in Alabasta's internal affairs,

incite a public riot,

and has currently been arrested by the Marines,

stripped of his title as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and his legal rights!

The false part lies in the fact that

the one who defeated Crocodile was by no means Smoker,

but rather the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates—Monkey D. Luffy!

However, due to the Marines' face,

therefore,
