Chapter 1287

"In the future Great Qin, perhaps it is not impossible for every soldier to be matched with a warhorse."

Ying Ying Zi Ye spoke unconsciously.

The surrounding generals were overjoyed upon hearing this.

As a soldier, who wouldn't want to own a warhorse?

A horse is equivalent to a vehicle; a vehicle is one of the essential pieces of equipment for a soldier.

With a vehicle, combat effectiveness can instantly double.

Moreover, mobility is strong, much faster than walking on two legs.

"Your Highness, the harvest this time is huge; although we had losses, they are still within an acceptable range."

"Then how should we arrange the soldiers here?"

Meng Tian looked at Ying Ying Zi Ye.

There were hundreds of thousands of soldiers here now.

We couldn't just have everyone stop here and wait, right?

The other generals also pricked up their ears.

Everyone wanted to know what needed to be done next.

"This is indeed a problem; I wonder if the Grand General has any plans?"

Ying Ying Zi Ye asked back; he also wanted to see if Grand General Meng Tian had any ideas.

How he wanted to arrange the matters here.

If Meng Tian arranged it properly, it wasn't impossible to follow through.

Meng Tian was stunned; he hadn't expected His Highness to ask him what to do.

After lowering his head and pondering for a while, Meng Tian stated his own ideas.

"Your Highness, now that there are hundreds of thousands of Xiongnu captives, this general believes we should prioritize sending them away."

"Keeping them here is not a good thing; it's better to escort them back to Great Qin first."

"This way, we can also let them immediately play a role; our Great Qin does not support idlers."

"And there are too many idlers; the daily consumption of grain and fodder is a bottomless pit."

The other generals nodded upon hearing this.

The Grand General was absolutely right.

The daily grain and fodder consumption of these captives was a bottomless pit.

If we don't send them away quickly, the grain and fodder here will soon be consumed.

"Hmm, very good, continue."

Ying Ying Zi Ye nodded; it was definitely better to send these captives away quickly.

Keeping them here was not a good thing.

"Your Highness, there are too many captives; we must dispatch at least four hundred thousand soldiers to escort them."

"The remaining soldiers will stay here, or go deep into the great grassland to continue sweeping."

"If we want to relocate Great Qin citizens to live here, we must certainly clear out the potential threats in the surrounding area."

"Also, Prince Modu and the others don't know where they fled to; perhaps we can pursue them while sweeping."

"What does Your Highness think?"

These were all Meng Tian's heartfelt words.

This was also what needed to be done now.

Ying Ying Zi Ye nodded; four hundred thousand soldiers was not too many.

After all, the Xiongnu captives were also as many as three hundred and eighty thousand.

Dispatching four hundred thousand soldiers to guard them was understandable.

Dispatching too many soldiers was not suitable, and too few would risk the Xiongnu captives escaping.

As for the remaining soldiers, there was no need for too many to stay and guard the Great Wall.

Only one hundred thousand soldiers were needed to guard the Great Wall.

Ying Ying Zi Ye looked at everyone and revealed a smile.

"Just do as the Grand General says."

"Dispatch four hundred thousand soldiers to escort the Xiongnu captives back."

"Leave one hundred thousand soldiers to guard the Great Wall."

"Let the remaining people all go deep into the great grassland to sweep."

"If we can encounter Prince Modu and the others, that would also be a good thing."

"If we can capture Prince Modu and the others, then capture them; if we can't, we'll talk about it later."

"Anyway, they can't stir up any big waves anymore."

"If there are objections, raise them; if there are no objections, execute the orders."

Ying Ying Zi Ye finally issued such an order.

The generals had no objections to His Highness's decision.

They just needed to go and execute the orders.

"Yes!"

The generals walked out of the camp tent and quickly took action. ===== CHAPTER 1289 =====
