Chapter 1427

Why would the Prince know about things so far away from Great Qin?

Is the Prince too mysterious?

Everyone looked at Ying Ying Zi Ye.

And Ying Ying Zi Ye also fell into his memories.

His memory of this Maurya Empire was a bit blurry.

But he remembered that the Maurya Empire's strength at this time was not very great.

Compared to the Great Qin Empire, it was not even a fraction of the strength.

There are historical records.

Chandragupta Maurya was the first king.

When he was in power, the strength could be called powerful.

At that time, the Maurya Empire had 30,000 cavalry, 600,000 infantry, and 9,000 war elephants; its military power was already very strong.

In the Maurya Empire's military system, only the king had the right to possess a standing army and receive tribute.

But that was a matter from 322 BC to 298 BC.

Later, the Maurya Empire was under the rule of the third king, Ashoka.

The national strength reached its peak.

During Ashoka's reign, the Maurya Empire's national strength could be said to be at the peak of the world.

However, Ashoka's great golden age could not last long.

Less than fifty years after Ashoka's death, the Maurya Empire collapsed.

Part of the reason for this was the sixth king.

At this time, the Maurya Empire had also gone through six generations.

The one currently in power was the sixth king, Shalishuka.

He reigned from 215 BC to 202 BC.

This King Shalishuka was incredibly cruel.

When he was in power, he only sought pleasure, living in luxury every day.

Under his management, the Maurya Empire was also on the verge of falling apart.

After King Shalishuka, the Maurya Empire only existed for fifteen years.

Afterwards, the entire Maurya Empire perished.

But now it is 209 BC, the 38th year of Qin Shi Huang.

The peak period of the Maurya Empire had already passed.

The current strength of the Maurya Empire should not be much.

Ying Ying Zi Ye recounted all these matters.

The scene immediately quieted down.
