Chapter 608

He was afraid that conscripting corvée again would cause Great Qin's national fortune to continue to decline.

Therefore, even if he was anxious in his heart, there was no way.

He could only wait for Ying Zi Ye's next plan.

Now he had finally captured some people to Lishan.

But this number of people was still too small.

He didn't know when it would be finished.

But the restart of the Lishan project enhanced Great Qin's national fortune.

This made him very satisfied.

"Father Emperor, how can our own people do dirty and tiring work?"

"If there is a choice, of course, let foreigners help!"

"Besides, this son believes that using our own people to build projects is labor-intensive and money-wasting, which is bad for Great Qin's fortune."

"Using foreigners is different; if you don't use them to build, they will constantly harass Great Qin."

"This move kills two birds with one stone, and it is also the best for Great Qin."

Ying Ying Zi Ye didn't say this could increase national fortune; after all, no one knew about national fortune.

Brother Zheng knew, but if he said it, he couldn't explain it clearly.

"Fortune?"

Ying Zheng lowered his head and pondered upon hearing this word.

Using one's own people to build projects leads to complaints.

It is bad for Great Qin's national fortune; using foreigners might not affect Great Qin's national fortune.

He only knew that if something was good for Great Qin's national fortune, his lifespan would increase.

Therefore, this fortune Ying Zi Ye spoke of might have some connection with national fortune.

"What do you mean by the fortune you speak of?"

"This..."

Ying Ying Zi Ye was somewhat speechless.

He didn't expect Brother Zheng to ask this question.

He really didn't know how to explain it well.

Lowering his head and pondering for a while, Ying Ying Zi Ye raised his head.

"Fortune is somewhat different from luck."

"Luck, in the usual sense, is based on the individual."

"Fortune, in the usual sense, is based on the group."

"A lucky person, when fortune is bad, is also very miserable."

"An unlucky person, when fortune is good, also lives very comfortably."

"So, treat Great Qin as a collective; if a group of people lives well, fortune will rise."

"If this collective lives miserably, then fortune will definitely be bad."

Ying Ying Zi Ye could only explain it this way.

As for anything deeper, Brother Zheng and General Zhang Han Han might not necessarily understand.

Ying Zheng and General Zhang Han Han pondered.

General Zhang Han Han was confused.

Fortune, luck—somewhat muddled.

To say he didn't understand, he understood some; to say he understood all, it didn't seem to be the case.

Ying Zheng understood.

This fortune is simply too similar to national fortune.

It has the same wonderful effect.

Ying Zheng looked at Ying Ying Zi Ye with surprise.

This brat knows quite a bit.

But it's not good to ask how he knows these things.

After all, everyone has some secrets of their own.

Since that's the case, he can only use foreigners to build Great Qin's projects.

He didn't want to try anything else; he would leave everything to Ying Zi Ye to do.

He was now full of confidence in Ying Zi Ye.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have handed the Crown Prince position to him.
