Chapter 496

"Just do it."

Decisively, Prince Fusu stood up again, and the whole person no longer had the previous trance and distraction.

He understood that he had made a huge mistake this time, so he must strive to remedy it.

Fu Nian saw Prince Fusu's performance and finally relaxed somewhat.

"If His Majesty's attitude softens a bit, Young Master can say in front of His Majesty that it was not because of anything else that you were unwilling to go on an expedition to attack the Xiongnu."

"It was truly because the national treasury is empty and you cannot bear to see the common people suffer more."

"That is why you chose not to send troops to attack the Xiongnu."

"I believe that if you say it this way, His Majesty will not blame you too much on this matter."

Fu Nian continued.

Fortunately, what Young Master Prince Fusu said to Ying Zheng before regarding the national treasury was somewhat reliable.

As long as you stick to the whole thing, it was entirely because you care about the common people that you were unwilling to send troops to attack the Xiongnu.

Ying Zheng would not be too harsh on Prince Fusu.

"Please rest assured, Teacher, I have already understood this matter."

"This time, I will definitely make the Father Emperor satisfied."

"It was also me who was stupid from reading books, that I forgot the elder brother died at the hands of those Xiongnu."

Prince Fusu said.
