Chapter 13

But at the same time, there were also the curious, wanting to know exactly what had happened, why so many people had died!

Right!

Look at the shredded flesh carpeting the ground, then look at the rivers of blood—who wouldn't be terrified to the core?

And needless to say them—even when First Emperor Ying Zheng saw the scene before his eyes, he too was shaken to the bone!

Yes, despite knowing Li Yuanba could fight, despite knowing Li Yuanba's combat strength was terrifying.

But…knowing is one thing, seeing it with your own eyes is another!

From leaving his bedchamber to this Outside Xianyanggong, all along the way, what he saw were corpses—dense, packed, beyond counting!

His heart turned cold with dread; the idea he had originally entertained of not acknowledging Facing Ying Su as Emperor before the officials, only admitting him as the Imperial Prince Regent, was wiped away in an instant!

Right!

This man could kill like that—if Facing Ying Su were truly pushed to the breaking point, who knew how many more people in Great Qin would die!

But…he still couldn't hold back his anger. One must know, the people who died now were all Great Qin soldiers!

"Rebellious son, just how many people have you killed!"

Ying Zheng turned to Facing Ying Su and demanded furiously.

At the same time, his gaze also turned toward Li Yuanba, filled with fury!

These Great Qin soldiers didn't die on the battlefields of the campaign against the Six Kingdoms, yet died here!

He was very angry!

Even more furious.

And on this point!

Facing Ying Su had nothing to say, merely lowering his head in silence.

Yes, what could he say?

What was he doing?

This was rebellion!

Rebellion isn't hosting a dinner party—how could it possibly be all smiles and civility?

Advancing all the way!

Soon, the gates of Xianyanggong were reached!

In an instant, the officials all knelt together in salute toward Ying Zheng: "We pay respects to the Emperor, Your Majesty!"

After they finished their salutes, many people couldn't help wanting to ask the First Emperor what exactly had happened.

Why on earth so many had to be killed!

Kill Chunyu Yue was even the first to want to step forward, to see if the First Emperor had been wantonly killing the innocent again?

However, before they could even open their mouths to ask, suddenly Ying Zheng spoke and announced news that shocked everyone:

"I have come today to announce three matters!"

"First, this Eastern Tour is cancelled!"

"Second, I abdicate!"

"Third, this throne—I pass it to the Sixth Young Master, Facing Ying Su!"

ps: Please send flowers, please send review tickets!!

011. A general amnesty? Ying Zheng was stunned!

"What what?"

"The Eastern Tour cancelled?"

"The First Emperor abdicates?"

"The throne passed to the Sixth Young Master, Facing Ying Su?"

The moment Ying Zheng's three matters were spoken, outside Xianyanggong, everyone was simply dumbfounded!

The three matters First Emperor Ying Zheng announced were each more shocking than the last!

First was the Eastern Tour!

One must know, every time the First Emperor went on tour, the pomp was enormous!

And every tour required at least half a year of advance preparation!

The route for this Eastern Tour, along with the carriages, horses, and ceremonial guard, had all been arranged half a year ago!

Now, the First Emperor says no tour and just—no tour?

The carriages, horses, and ceremonial guard, the arrangements all along the route—weren't all of it spent for nothing?

If this were before, just on this matter alone, many people would have been cursing Ying Zheng in their hearts.

Cursing him for wasting so much manpower and resources!

But now…with the second and third matters as contrast, suddenly this first matter didn't seem worth cursing about!

The First Emperor abdicates!

The Sixth Young Master Facing Ying Su ascends!

One must know, this is the First Emperor!

Now, he…he actually wants to announce his abdication?

And pass the throne to the Sixth Young Master Facing Ying Su?

This…this is deposing the elder and establishing the younger?

In that moment, everyone was dumbfounded!

In that moment, everyone trembled in shock!

Everyone's mind buzzed with a roar.

"Why!"

"Why, Your Majesty!"

In an instant, countless people actually began to drop to their knees, begging the First Emperor to give them an explanation!

Demanding that he give them a reason!

Yet, Ying Zheng did not even spare a glance for any of this!

As Emperor, he had his own pride!

No matter what, he would never admit that he had been forced to this point by his own rebellious son.

At that moment, he glared viciously at Ying Su, then turned and walked away!

However, the moment he turned, he looked back again, casting his gaze toward Ying Su:

"I have made this announcement. Now, you must be very satisfied, yes?"

"But do not rejoice too soon!"

"Because you will very soon face the first major problem!"

"Sigh! You unfilial son!"

"I had originally intended to let this major problem, after you succeeded to the throne, teach you that being Emperor is not easy—I wanted to force you to step down directly!"

"But considering you have someone like Li Yuanba, considering you would kill indiscriminately, and considering the future of our Great Qin, I shall give you a reminder!"

"This problem is the problem that Prince Fusu brings!"

"Do you know why, even though your elder brother repeatedly proposed the enfeoffment system and displeased me, I never once considered giving up on your elder brother?"

"Besides the fact that he is the eldest son, besides the fact that I poured too much of my heart's blood into him, there is another very important reason!"

"He is the eldest son!"

"The eldest son is paramount, and from the very moment he was born, it was destined that he would be no ordinary man. Therefore, over all these years, in this Great Qin, in this court, one cannot know how many people have been investing in him early on!"

"If he cannot inherit the throne, many people will be driven to desperate measures!"

"For example, right now, all the ministers you see have enormous ties to Prince Fusu!"

"And among them are the Meng family, the Li family, the Wei family, the Mi family, and other great clans and major powers!"

"If you do not handle this problem well, Great Qin may not perish in your generation, but it will surely perish in the third generation after you!"

"Moreover, if you are foolish enough, you may not even be able to hold onto your own generation!"

"And if your methods dare to be too extreme, you may not even survive two months—no! Not even one month!"

"Because… there are simply too many ways to kill a person in this world. Even if you possess Li Yuanba's world-shaking martial might, you cannot guarantee that you will not be killed. Let alone the fact that the one who possesses this world-shaking martial might is not even you?"
