Chapter 283

The Six-Fingered Black Hero did not expect that these two instruments were actually used in agriculture.

The Gongshu family's mechanism technique was all used in war. Clearly, these two things did not come from the Gongshu family, and the mechanisms made by the Gongshu family would not be so crude. At least in terms of appearance, they would be much more exquisite.

Since it was not the work of the Gongshu family, it could only be the work of the Yin-Yang School.

'The Yin-Yang School truly has no talent in the way of mechanisms. They are not suitable for mechanism technique...'

After the Six-Fingered Black Hero despised the Yin-Yang School in his heart, he still honestly studied the two instruments before him.

Upon learning that they were used in agriculture, for some reason, the Six-Fingered Black Hero became serious.

Because the principles of the two instruments were not complicated, and the mechanized beasts of the Mohist School, in terms of structure, were much more complex than this.

He quickly figured out the principles.

"For the waterwheel, the change is the simplest. It can be like this and like that..."

The Six-Fingered Black Hero explained slowly, not caring about leaking these things to Su Xuan.

The reason why he got the plan so quickly was that the power source of the Mohist Mechanized City was water. With the help of the flowing water in the mountains, the instruments within the entire Mechanized City could operate continuously year after year. From the construction of the Mechanized City until now, the mechanisms within it had been operating for a full three hundred years. This was all the effect of the flowing water in the mountains.

Therefore, if one wanted to break the Mechanized City, it was actually not that troublesome. One didn't need to rack one's brains to attack the city; one only needed to cut off the water source flowing into the Mechanized City from outside the city, and the many mechanisms within the Mechanized City would still stop operating.

Things like waterwheels were as numerous as hairs in the Mechanized City. After three hundred years of continuous improvement, it could be said that the waterwheel technology in the Mechanized City had developed to its peak.

While telling Su Xuan the improvement plan for the waterwheel, the Six-Fingered Black Hero also revealed a thoughtful look.

This Yin-Yang School leader, bringing such two mechanism instruments before him and letting him improve them, was definitely not shooting without a target.

Clearly, he had his purpose.

However, no matter what purpose the other party had, if improving these two instruments could benefit many farmers, that was also fine.

After finishing the improvement plan for the waterwheel, the Six-Fingered Black Hero studied the seed drill again.

The principle of the seed drill was also not complicated. It was like a plow. Through the pulling of human or animal power, it could cultivate land. It also had a measuring bucket. After the feet of the seed drill pierced into the land, the seeds would slide down from the seed bucket and fall into the pit, completing the two things of cultivation and sowing at the same time.

Su Xuan's seed drill, in terms of principle, was extremely good, but principle is principle. Whether it could make the efficiency of cultivation and sowing higher still required subsequent research, especially if one wanted to cultivate more land, under normal circumstances, the human and animal power required would also be more. So, was there a way to improve productivity while reducing human and animal power?

Of course there was.

The many mechanisms in the Mohist Mechanized City relied on the power of the flowing water in the mountains, operating year after year without using any human or animal power. Wanting to use the power of flowing water to make the seed drill operate was clearly impossible.

But other plans could be used.

In the Mohist School, there were four major mechanized beasts, divided into Azure Dragon, Bai Hu, Zhu Que, and Black Tortoise, taken from the four spirits of heaven. These four mechanized beasts, the Black Tortoise could dive and swim in the water, the Zhu Que could fly in the sky, the Bai Hu could roam on the ground, and its lethality was extremely powerful. And the Azure Dragon gathered the strengths of all four, having both the killing power of the Bai Hu and the ability of the Zhu Que to fly, and could also dive into the sea like the Black Tortoise.

These few mechanized beasts did not borrow any water power, nor did they borrow human or animal power, yet they could all operate without stopping.

This was the strength of the Mohist mechanism technique.

The Six-Fingered Black Hero was prepared to change the seed drill based on the principles of these mechanized beasts.

It didn't need human or animal power at all. He had a more perfect plan: directly transform the seed drill into a mechanized beast, use the principle of the mechanized beast to complete the work of cultivation and sowing, and because the mechanized beast didn't need to rest, this meant it could operate continuously, cultivating several qing of fertile land a day, which was not a problem.

One qing is fifteen mu, several qing is a hundred mu of land. In this era, cultivating a hundred mu of land in a day was already an unimaginable thing.

But the Six-Fingered Black Hero had the confidence to do this.

However, because this goal was quite grand, he needed to spend some time to study and calculate.

He said bluntly to Su Xuan, "I need time and tools to calculate and test!"

Although he still hadn't guessed Su Xuan's purpose, the fact that Su Xuan only let him come to improve these tools without showing hostility was already a good thing.

Even, the Six-Fingered Black Hero hoped that after he improved these tools, Su Xuan could return Yan Dan's soul to him.

Hearing this, Su Xuan said to Zi Nu, "Whatever he needs, satisfy him as much as possible!"

"Yes!"

Zi Nu replied.

In the following time, Zi Nu brought some Yin-Yang School disciples and many tools to assist the Six-Fingered Black Hero in studying the new seed drill here.
