Chapter 386

Legend has it in the jianghu that the Mohist Mechanical City is situated among a vast expanse of mountains and ravines, where the terrain is peculiar; for hundreds of miles around, there are nothing but steep cliffs and deep valleys, which are difficult to climb even for those traveling light and empty-handed. Below, it is surrounded by turbulent, rushing river water, and the water is filled with hidden reefs and jagged rocks; ships sailing there often strike the reefs, resulting in destroyed ships and lost lives. Even more peculiar is the unpredictable sea of clouds there; the weather is sometimes sunny and sometimes rainy, and walking in the mountains, one often loses their way in the vast sea of clouds.

For ordinary people in the jianghu, they only know that the Mohist Mechanical City is a world apart, built by exhausting the resources of the Mohist School, and it is also known as the Demonic Realm Beyond the Heavens. Many people who want to escape the chaos of war wish to go to the Mechanical City to live a peaceful life, but they suffer from not knowing where the Mechanical City is located.

However, this was not a problem for the Six-Fingered Black Hero.

As the former Mohist Leader, he was all too familiar with the Mechanical City, and even without him, Jing Ke, as a Mohist commander, also knew the location of the Mechanical City.

Under the guidance of the Six-Fingered Black Hero, Jing Ke, Su Xuan, and Yanfei headed toward the Mechanical City. This time, only the four of them were going to the Mechanical City; with Su Xuan's influence, if he truly wanted to conquer the Mechanical City, Ying Zheng would certainly not hesitate to assign him a large army.

With the help of an army and the guidance of the Six-Fingered Black Hero, destroying the Mechanical City would indeed be an easy task.

But there was no need for that.

Because the Six-Fingered Black Hero was the Mohist Leader, and he also wanted to know how many people in the Mohist School were still willing to believe in him. He wanted to know if the current Mohist School was still the Mohist School in his heart.

If those people were still willing to acknowledge him as their leader, he would of course be very happy, but if those people no longer acknowledged him as their leader and instead clung to Yan Dan, he would not mind borrowing the power of the Qin Guo to break through the Mechanical City.

All of this was for the sake of the Mohist School.

Following Yan Dan would lead the Mohist School to no future.

The four of them set out from the Qin Guo and soon arrived in the forest where the Mechanical City was located. After arriving in this forest, Jing Ke's expression was slightly complex; after the fall of Puyang, the Mechanical City had become his second home.

The Six-Fingered Black Hero did not have many emotions; he just wanted to enter the Mechanical City quickly and settle scores with Yan Dan.

He led the way in front, while explaining the affairs of the Mechanical City to Su Xuan and Yanfei, the two members of the Yin-Yang School. Among these, the Yin-Yang School was very clear about the origin of the Mechanical City; after all, the two factions had fought for so many years, so there was no need for an overview.

What the Six-Fingered Black Hero was explaining to the two was the path to the Mechanical City.

"The Mechanical City is built between steep cliffs, with more than half embedded inside the mountain. There are two ways to enter the Mechanical City. One is from the back mountain of the Mechanical City, directly into the hinterland of the Mechanical City. Because this path is relatively easy to enter the core area of the Mechanical City, the Mohist founder considered this problem after it was built. He set up many mechanisms in the back mountain, and successive leaders have continuously added mechanisms. It can be said that there is a mechanism basically every three to five meters..."

"If someone who does not understand the truth rushes in, there is only a dead end!"

"Of course, because the mountains where the Mechanical City is located are remote, there is no one here, and usually no one comes here."

After finishing the first entrance, the Six-Fingered Black Hero mentioned the second entrance.

"The second entrance is located between the steep cliffs. Going to the Mechanical City from this entrance is the easiest. Of course, the so-called easiest is for the Mohist people. The Mohist School has a mechanical bird called the Zhu Que, which can be used to fly in the sky. With the help of the Zhu Que, one can fly over the deep valley and reach the entrance above the cliff!"

"Because we don't have the mechanical bird Zhu Que this time, we can only enter the Mechanical City from the first entrance."

After the Six-Fingered Black Hero finished talking about the two entrances, he warned Su Xuan and Yanfei: "Next, you two had better follow closely behind me. If you accidentally trigger a mechanism and end up in a predicament, I won't care about you."

Earlier, in the Yin-Yang School, because Su Xuan was the host, the Six-Fingered Black Hero felt very stifled. Now that he had finally returned to his own territory, he naturally had to show off.

Su Xuan understood the meaning of the Six-Fingered Black Hero's words, but did not say anything.

Under the leadership of the Six-Fingered Black Hero, the group passed through the dense forest without incident. While in the forest, as if to let Su Xuan know the horror of the Mechanical City, the Six-Fingered Black Hero deliberately triggered some mechanisms, causing crossbow arrows to fly out like rain, wanting to use this to frighten Su Xuan.

But to the Six-Fingered Black Hero's disappointment, both Su Xuan and Yanfei remained calm, with no intention of being frightened.

This made him somewhat unhappy.

After passing through the forest, the four arrived in the hinterland of the Mechanical City. Looking from afar, they could see some buildings built into the mountain. These buildings were built against the mountain, and more than half were hidden in the mountain.

"It really is a grand undertaking!"

Yanfei praised.

The Mohist School and the Yin-Yang School had fought for many years, and she had heard of the name of the Mohist Mechanical City, known as the "Demonic Realm Beyond the Heavens," but this was her first time seeing the Mechanical City with her own eyes.

The Yin-Yang School was located in the deep valley of Lishan, but compared to the Mohist Mechanical City before her, it was still far behind.

"After all, it took the Mohist School three hundred years to build it. I don't know how many people died in the process of building this city!" Su Xuan replied, forcefully stifling the words that were on the tip of the Six-Fingered Black Hero's tongue.
