Chapter 1087: Flaunting privileges on the street, Old Li and Minister Fang are both imprisoned

Changancheng street.

Having just encountered an embarrassment, Old Li was slightly discouraged.

Walking on the street, he always wanted to see some things where Great Qin people didn't behave according to etiquette.

Every time he passed an intersection, Old Li had to stop and watch for a long time.

He didn't believe that Great Qin had ruled Changancheng for such a short time and could make all Changancheng commoners completely change.

Old Li was also an emperor and knew the difficulty of educating all the people.

However, he walked past one intersection after another.

What he saw was that at every intersection, there was someone waving a small flag to direct traffic.

All carriages and pedestrians passing through the intersection acted according to the flag's instructions.

No one dared to be reckless.

Old Li didn't believe in evil and grabbed a passerby to ask.

"This brother, why does everyone have to act according to that flag-waver's instructions?

If I don't follow the instructions, what can he do to me?"

That person looked at Old Li and Fang Xuanling like they were fools.

"You can try!

He can't do anything to you, nothing more than nagging a few more words in your ear."

Old Li couldn't figure it out even more.

If they didn't use heavy laws, why would the commoners be so obedient?

Why did he never encounter such a good thing?

Suspicious in his heart, Old Li wanted even more to try it himself.

To see where Great Qin's education methods were so brilliant?

"Minister Fang, let's go and break through this intersection.

Let's see what that flag-waver can do to us?"

Fang Xuanling was obviously hesitant.

As envoys from Great Tang, breaking Great Qin's regulations so wantonly felt not very good.

"Old Li, let's go through diplomatic channels and ask the Ministry of Rites, wouldn't that be clear?

Why must we personally violate the regulations?"

Old Li waved his hand and rejected Fang Xuanling's proposal.

"Those people in the Ministry of Rites will only say set phrases.

Listening to what they say, it's all the same taste; how could we hear clearly?

Only by trying it ourselves can we feel it personally."

Old Li was not wrong.

His starting point was also wanting to know where the advantages of Great Qin's practices lay. Fang Xuanling felt that since Old Li was so diligent, he should support him.

As the Great Tang Emperor, whether he violated regulations or not was a small matter.

Having insights in his heart was the most important harvest.

"Alright, I'll watch the carriage for you, don't let it get hit."

The two ignored the flag-waver's instructions at the intersection and walked straight through.

Sure enough, they were stopped.

The two who were blocked still stood calmly in the center of the street, looking down on the onlookers.

Facing the accusations of the crowd, Old Li didn't care at all.

The flag-waver spoke.

"You two, take this small flag and stand at the intersection to direct traffic!"

"What? You want us to direct traffic?"

Old Li shouted.

"Do you know who we are?

We are Great Tang nobles; we have always walked however we wanted!

How could we stand here and wave a small flag?"

Fang Xuanling felt his face burning.

He also didn't expect the flag-waver to punish them by directing traffic.

He thought the Imperial Guard would take them away and ask a few questions, and that would be it.

Standing here, how shameful!

One of them was the Great Tang Emperor, and the other was the Great Tang Chancellor.

If they really stood on this street and directed traffic, they would have no face to see anyone.

Being bullied by the Great Qin Emperor could be understood.

If they were bullied by Great Qin commoners, that would truly be a great humiliation in their lives!

Fang Xuanling pulled the flag-waver.

"You don't know our identities, so we have nothing to say to you.

Go call the Imperial Guard!" ===== CHAPTER 1089 =====
