Chapter 663

Their intentions are punishable!

"Draft an edict!"

Yan Lide immediately picked up a pen to prepare to write.

The two brothers were overjoyed, thinking the Emperor had already agreed to their request.

If they could receive a marriage granted by the Emperor, it would be a great honor.

Qin Mu spoke.

"Proclaim to the world: anyone holding an official position is forbidden from marrying into the Five Surnames and Seven Clans for life!"

After thinking for a while, he added another sentence.

"If there is true love, one must break away from the Five Surnames and Seven Clans. So ordered!"

Ah?

The Yan brothers were dumbfounded.

Once this imperial edict was issued, I fear no one in Great Qin would dare to marry into the Five Surnames and Seven Clans again.

The regrets of their ancestors were destined to become eternal regrets!

But they didn't dare to say anything more and could only hurry to find daughters from other families.

Qin Mu also lost the mood to row a boat.

The noble families had already made their move.

Using their daughters to win over Great Qin's courtiers.

Qin Mu's imperial edict had already cut off this possibility.

However, the noble families would certainly not give up there.

"Wei Zhongxian!"

"Your servant is here!"

Wei Zhongxian bowed and stood by Qin Mu's side.

Qin Mu stepped off the boat onto the shore step by step.

"Follow me to Jiangnan to see what schemes these noble families are up to?"

Wei Zhongxian was shocked.

"Your Majesty, Jiangnan is Great Tang territory; you must not risk yourself!"

It wasn't as if Qin Mu hadn't gone deep into enemy territory before.

Earlier, when marrying Li Xueyan, he had followed the mission and personally went to the Great Tang capital.

He even kidnapped Zhangsun Wugou and Changle on the way back.

When he left, Zhangsun Wuji even saw him off in the street.

Qin Mu smiled slightly, seemingly unconcerned about this dangerous matter.

"Don't worry, I'm just going for a casual stroll."

Qin Mu had already decided.

Wei Zhongxian knew he couldn't persuade him, so he stopped trying.

Even if it were a den of tigers and wolves, he would accompany His Majesty to break through it!

"Your servant obeys the edict!"

Qin Mu had actually long wanted to go to Jiangnan to take a look.

Since the Great Tang retreated to Jiangnan, many changes had taken place there.

The Five Surnames and Seven Clans, the Guanzhong powerful families, and the Longyou gatekeepers all followed the imperial court and moved to Jiangnan.

They took countless gold and silver with them when they left.

With the relocation of these noble families to Jiangnan, it also brought great development to Jiangnan.

Coupled with the earlier promotion of technologies like the curved-shaft plow among the people.

Even though they had been tricked by Qin Mu several times, Jiangnan still had a deep foundation.

Qin Mu wanted to see if he could dig up something else this time.

Before leaving, Qin Mu summoned Shen Wansan and gave him some instructions.

"Shen Wansan, prepare more music albums produced by the inner palace for me."

Shen Wansan saw that the Emperor was about to leave the capital.

He asked in confusion.

"Your Majesty, where should these albums be sold? Just give an order, and your servant will handle it immediately. Why bother Your Majesty to run around personally?" Qin Mu curled his lips.

"You can't do it! You have no problem making money, but when it comes to tricking money, you can't even catch up to my heels."

Tricking money?

Shen Wansan became interested.

He 617 had also done things to trick money.

Previously, when acquiring shops in the East and West Markets, he had severely tricked the major noble families together.

But that success was because of Qin Mu's support behind the scenes.

Since that time, Shen Wansan seemed to have become addicted to tricking money.

"Your Majesty, can you take your servant with you? Let your servant broaden his horizons?"

"No!"

Qin Mu had thought about whether to take Shen Wansan.

Later, he decided not to.

Simply because he had tricked the major noble families so miserably last time that they had all recognized his face.

If he took Shen Wansan, his identity would be easily recognized on the road, which would be inconvenient.

"You stay in Chang'an and don't run around. Allocate more of the money earned in the national treasury to various places to do some basic and water conservancy construction." Shen Wansan was immediately startled.

Qin Mu had long warned him that the money in the national treasury should be used for the people.

Only by using this money to improve the environment in all aspects of Great Qin could more money be earned.

Forming a virtuous cycle like this, the country would become increasingly rich and powerful.

This matter was of utmost importance!

Just now, in a moment of excitement, he almost forgot this major event.

"Your Majesty, rest assured, your servant will definitely make sure the money in the national treasury is spent where it counts!"

Hmm.

Qin Mu nodded and left Chang'an with a small merchant caravan, satisfied.

This time, he was going to disguise himself as a merchant selling music scores.
