Chapter 731

"Your Majesty just asked me what I want to do myself? I can answer now: I don't want to manage a caravan. I just want to live in a house by the sea, and every day when I wake up, I see the tides rising and falling, the sun rising and setting."

Pretentious!

This kind of literary-minded young woman, no matter when, never forgets to be pretentious.

There are Japanese pirates by the sea!

Without a strong protective force, what kind of romance are you playing at?

Qin Mu couldn't be bothered to say more.

He waved his hand and let Lu Yu retreat.

Subsequently, he instructed a young eunuch to take Lu Yu to handle the transaction procedures with Shen Wansan.

Once the procedures were completed, Li Tai could be released.

After Lu Yu left the palace.

She handled the transaction procedures very smoothly.

The two hundred thousand shi of grain were deposited into the Great Qin national treasury.

Shen Wansan asked with a smile.

"What did His Majesty promise? To make Miss Lu start the transaction so readily?"

Lu Yu thought about it; actually, Qin Mu didn't promise anything.

She didn't know how she had fallen for it.

She couldn't save face.

She had to use other things to support her face.

So she held her head high and said.

"His Majesty promised to let me manage a Great Qin caravan!"

"What?"

Looking at Shen Wansan's expression, he was truly surprised.

The various caravans were like his own children, and he cared about them very much.

"To be blunt, with my vision, I feel Miss Lu's ability..."

This was a bit of a slap in the face.

Belittling someone's ability to their face.

Lu Yu almost went crazy; is there anyone who speaks to people like this to their face?

"You are not qualified to lead my caravan!"

But the other party was Shen Wansan.

He was in charge of Great Qin's commerce, had already made a great name for himself in the world, and stood at the pinnacle of all merchants.

Lu Yu restrained her emotions.

"What shortcomings does Lord Shen think my ability still has?"

Shen Wansan laughed.

He didn't need to give Great Tang merchants any good face anyway.

So he spoke without any scruples.

"A caravan should also be a military force with combat capability. Look at you; where do you look like a general leading troops? Besides, when a caravan is abroad, it may encounter various dangers at any time. It requires the person leading the team to be loyal and reliable.

You are a member of the Lu family; you are fundamentally not in the reliable range and are not worth trusting!"

These words made Lu Yu furious.

She was the one who led the team to purchase grain in Siam. Before this, no one had ever said she wasn't capable.

Just now in the palace, even the Great Qin Huang didn't mind that she was a member of the Lu family.

As a result, when she got to Shen Wansan, her identity became a problem too.

"What's wrong with being a member of the Lu family? Believe it or not, with one word from me, I could lead a caravan on my own?"

Shen Wansan just didn't believe this.

"I don't believe it! Without my consent, no one has the qualification to bypass me and appoint a caravan manager!"

This was a standoff.

Lu Yu was originally just saying something out of anger.

But, since the words had reached this point, she actually started to consider the possibility.

Even she herself didn't notice that in her heart, she had actually started to consider defecting from the Great Tang and joining Great Qin!

Subconsciously, she felt that Great Qin had the life she wanted!

"I will let you see whether I can be a Great Qin caravan manager or not!"

As soon as these words were out, Lu Yu realized it herself.

This was the voice of her heart.

Lu Yu, using this anger in her heart, returned to the palace.

With this anger, there were fewer concerns in her heart.

She wanted to see if Shen Wansan would dare not recognize a caravan manager personally appointed by the Great Qin Huang?

If he dared to defy even the Emperor's imperial decree, then she would truly admire him!
