These shelves were suspended in mid-air, gently rotating and gliding as if being pushed by an unseen breeze.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Mathias the Free, the man who left behind this secret plane, was a Magus who studied the profundities of gravity magic. Naturally, he applied its principles to the bookshelves within the library.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Suddenly, the silence of the grand library was broken by a disgruntled scream.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Sooooooo boring!!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Sprawled atop a floating shelf, the spirit of the secret plane, the Joker, flailed his limbs about like a spoiled little child who had gotten bored with everything and everyone around him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He snapped his fingers, and an illusory screen materialized before him, displaying the scene of Anna practicing magic with one of the guardians of the secret plane, a giant flaming tiger.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Joker clicked his tongue in annoyance. \"Red Hair is always studying under Vulcan. How boring!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He swiped his hand, resulting in the scene before him changing and displaying another scene.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"This old man was entertaining in the beginning, but now... Hmph!\" He snorted in displeasure, gazing at Kaspar York, who was practicing mindfulness inside a cave.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He swiped his hands two more times, glancing at Daryl and Ada, who were practicing archery and ice magic respectively.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Why are they all so damn boring?!\" He screamed in anguish.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It would be another fifteen years before the secret plane officially opened to visitors again. Until then, the Joker didn’t know how else to entertain himself.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Just when he thought of slipping into a deep sleep and waking up the next time the secret plane opened, he suddenly sensed a disturbance rippling through the barrier surrounding the plane.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Joker immediately frowned. He could sense two vast presences outside the plane, trying to get in.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With a dark look in his face, he coldly muttered, \"Who dares trespass into my home?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He swiped his hand once more, and the scene before him changed once again. This time, it revealed an elderly gnome mounted atop a black wolf in the plain outside Glassford.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With a murderous look in his eyes, the Joker was about to teach them a lesson when suddenly his eyes narrowed when he noticed something in the gnome’s hand.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He hesitated for a moment before snapping his fingers.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>***\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Berger had a grumpy look on his face as usual as he looked around the grassy plain.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Are you certain this is the place?\" Blackie asked with a slight tilt of his head.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"That’s what the boy mentioned,\" said the gnome, waving the item in his hand. \"This better work. If not—\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His words got caught in his throat when he felt the space around him twist and churn. The world turned dark for a brief moment before light flooded his vision.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Berger was instantly on alert when he found himself inside a vast library with countless bookshelves levitating in the air above.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He and Blackie had just been forcibly teleported inside, and what disturbed him most was that neither he nor the wolf had been able to resist at all.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Before he could even properly look around, a cold voice echoed in his ears.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Who are you and why do you have that?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Berger turned towards the source of the voice and saw a clown dressed in colorful garments, levitating in the air and holding the very item that he had possessed moments ago.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>When did he...the gnome’s eyes narrowed.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Joker glanced at the ivory card in his hand, his painted face twisting into a menacing scowl.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"A fake!\" he roared in fury. \"How did you know about this, little man?! Answer me before I turn you into a smoothie!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ivory card was the Joker’s calling card... or at least, it looked like it. Adam had recently written to Berger, explaining to him how one might gain entry inside.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Little man?\" Berger’s lips twitched, the veins at the side of his forehead throbbing in suppressed fury.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He couldn’t hold back the rage anymore and yelled, \"Who the hell are you calling little man, you damned clown?!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Good! Good! Very good!\" the Joker cracked his knuckles and flexed his shoulders. \"I will thoroughly be entertained when I turn your skin into a napkin! Napkin, yes, because you are tiny!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"This motherf—\" Berger was about to throw hands.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But Blackie, being the reasonable person in this awkward scenario, cleared his throat and said:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"It was Adam Constantine.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Joker immediately deflated like a balloon. Hearing Adam’s name, he felt much more at ease now. He arrived before Blackie and said with a thoughtful look on his face:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Little doggy, how do you know that troublemaker?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Blackie’s eye twitched as he suppressed the urge to bite the clown’s head off. He then said in a low voice, \"We are his friends. Well, I’m his friend, andheis his mentor.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He emphasized the last part while gesturing toward the fuming gnome.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Heh!\" The Joker snorted. \"The little man is the boy’s mentor? What did he teach him? How tolook upto people? Fafafafafa!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Blackie, knowing all too well that nothing was going to stop Berger from teaching the clown a lesson, transformed into a little puppy and scurried away.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He left behind his parting words, \"Mister Joker, I’m going to meet Anna. I have a message for her from Adam.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>With that said, he vanished.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The Joker blinked, slightly surprised by the beast’s skills.
