Legend had it that they were born from the tranquil darkness of the night itself.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They had no special features, except they were extremely fast and sturdy. That, and the fact their mana naturally radiated terror towards whoever gazed at them.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Thus, the name Night Mare.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"You don't like the city much, do you, girl?\" Asked Adam with a smile, as he gently stroked the horse's mane.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The horse, as if understanding the youth's words, neighed in displeasure.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Haha!\" Adam couldn't help but laugh in amusement. \"Very well, then. Once I've sorted out a few things here, we'll ride down south. How does that sound?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The horse's eyes flashed with brilliance and she neighed happily.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Good girl!\" Adam smiled. \"We'll ride through the Acadian Empire, visit a few places on the way. Then, we'll enter the Murky Mountains and go to the Southern Federation.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>NEIGH!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Alright, alright, calm down.\" Adam chuckled. \"I've to tie a few loose ends here first. So, we'll leave in a month or two. It'll be a nice round trip to the Federation and back. Considering your speed, we'll return to Ravenfell long before the tournament begins.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>As for his responsibilities as the Lord Commander of the Black Legion? He then proceeded to pull Luna by the reins but it proved difficult to do so.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>When he used force, Luna glared at him, sending a chill down his spine.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Luna,\" Adam said sternly, \"behave.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The horse stepped forward, nudging her broad head against the youth's cheek. She then allowed the guard to take her to the stables, no longer being as stubborn.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"New mount?\" Elysande stood at the entrance to her manor, her gaze shifting between Adam and the beautiful black horse.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Yes.\" Adam nodded as he climbed the marble stairs. \"A gift from the Captain of the Black Legion.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"That's right,\" Elysande couldn't help but lightly smirk. \"Behold the new Lord Commander, Count Constantine.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Adam rolled his eyes. \"Don't be like that.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Yes, of course, Count Constantine,\" Elysande teased him further.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Where's your father? Is he home?\" Asked the raven-haired youth as the two entered the manor.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Elysande's mood suddenly turned serious. \"Have you still not forgiven him for what happened? Adam, I told you that he didn't have a choice.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Adam shook his head, assuring her, \"I'm here to make amends.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Seeing the confused look on his friend's face, he explained, \"Well, the last time we met I had been very rude to him. You can't really blame me now, can you? He did, after all, abandon us.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"And you cannot blame him either.\" Elysande stood her ground. \"My father is not without flaws, I agree. But… he is still my father. Whatever he did, he did it for me.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Thinking back to the secrets that lay between Brigham and Kissinger of the Umbra thieves, Elysande continued, \"Whatever he does, he does for the family.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Adam deeply looked at her for a few moments before nodding. \"I understand. Anyways, I'm here to apologise to him. I think that I may have been too disrespectful to him the other day.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Elysande snorted in displeasure. \"You think?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Aunt Ely! Aunt Ely!\" Suddenly, a couple of children came running toward the two in the main hall.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Seeing them, Elysande's expression turned warm and gentle, completely unlike her usual stern demeanor. \"One moment,\" she said to them dotingly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She then turned to look at Adam and said, \"He's in his study on the second floor. I won't be going with you.
