There was something so vexing about this girl.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I’ve been trying to tell you,\" Lucifer felt nervous, but he still used mild exasperation in his voice.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I’m the Devil.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"That’s... that’s not possible,\" Hermione said, she’d clutched her wand now though it hardly mattered.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I assure you, Hermione, it is,\" Lucifer said defiantly, now transforming back to his good-looking human face, which caused the girl to let out a huge gasp.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"I mean, you’ve said so yourself there are things you can’t explain. I am not so-called - Merlin’s Descendant.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"You need more proof? You’ve got the wand. Come on, use the Killing curse on me.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"First it’s a crime, besides I would never....on you,\" Hermione replied, she had now somehow gotten over her lack of courage now.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Sure you can,\" Lucifer said easily. \"Go on, give her a flick, we’ll be good to go.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"No.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Just use the curse, Hermione! You know, I could break it effortlessly. I just want to talk.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"If you really are the Devil,\" Hermione began quietly. \"Then why are you here talking to me?!\" she almost yelled.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Lucifer wasn’t focused on what she was saying but rather the fact that she’d stepped back from the door.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Gently so as not to create any ricochet behind the door, Lucifer reached up and broke the chain.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He then slowly stepped forward.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Ah yes, much better,\" he said, smiling. \"Now we can talk properly.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Leave me alone,\" Hermione said next, backing away from him while keeping both eyes on his face.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"There’s no need for this,\" Lucifer said calmly. \"We’ve been together for years already or have you forgotten?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His words seemed to have no effect so Lucifer held up his hands and continued, \"I’m not going to hurt you, Hermione. I would never hurt you.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"But if you really are the Devil then you’re evil,\" she said, softly under her breath.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Something deep inside Lucifer tied itself into knots at her words. It was a strange feeling and one he’d never felt before.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He didn’t like it.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She hadn’t been a believer before so where was she getting this from.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Lucifer flashed his memories back, and realised for a second when he was at Granger’s Residence to pick her up, one book inside her room....\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Ah, now I remember, been doing some research on me then, have you?\" Lucifer smiled.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Let’s hear it, what do those religious zealots think I’ve done this time, hmm?\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"How many people have you killed?\" she asked slowly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Lucifer could tell just by looking at her body language that every inch of her wanted to run, and it hurt.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He wasn’t sure why this one human’s opinion of him mattered so much, but somehow it did.....sigh he knew the reason...just been denying for a while.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"None before the World Cup,\" Lucifer replied easily, reapers aren’t human so they don’t count.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Angels aren’t allowed to kill humans, unless you need to save a pure one.
