Chapter 369: Floral Water in the Eyes of an Old Emergency Hand
Ji Xiang did not know that there were hands behind the scenes of the paper's review; he finished writing the article under the guidance of the System NPC and continued to work hard.
The System NPC had long since instilled a worldview and values into Ji Xiang.
That diabetes research project at the Oilfield Hospital, which had spanned several decades, had long since taken root and sprouted in Ji Xiang's heart.
But the problems still existed and did not disappear because of the appearance of the System NPC and the System Operating Room.
Coming to the Orthopedics Department while still being responsible for Renal Cancer embolization + partial resection made Ji Xiang feel as though he were stretched too thin.
It is no wonder that medicine is becoming more and more specialized these days; there are very few general practitioners.
One day, having finished the day's work and preparing to get off duty, Zhao Zhe stretched long and hard, "Xiao Ji, what are we eating tonight?"
"I'm going home," Ji Xiang said, then suddenly remembered something, "It's Meng Laoshi's night shift today; I'm going to the Emergency Department to see if I can mooch a meal."
"That person in the Emergency Department?" Zhao Zhe laughed, "Xiao Ji, the Emergency Department is a place even dogs dislike; why are you willing to run over there?"
"I just feel that Meng Laoshi is a good person and very meticulous."
Ji Xiang did not dawdle and got up to change clothes.
Recently, Lu Gang might have felt that he was idle all day, so he took the initiative to take on the task of writing Medical Records.
This made things much easier for Ji Xiang.
The two went downstairs, and Ji Xiang arrived at the Emergency Department lobby, "Zhao Ge, together?"
Zhao Zhe hesitated for a moment, but since it was the first time Ji Xiang had "invited" him, he also wanted to get a glimpse of Ji Xiang's daily life.
Although Zhao Zhe had been kicked to the Emergency Department for two years while in Yuanliao and had a deep fear of that place, he still gritted his teeth and followed behind Ji Xiang into the emergency passageway.
There were not many patients in the Emergency Department after 5 o'clock; catching the mealtime, there were very few people.
"Meng Laoshi." Seeing Meng Qingfei sitting in the Consultation Room lost in thought, Ji Xiang greeted him.
Meng Qingfei did not speak, and the keys flew over.
Ji Xiang caught them smoothly and went straight to change clothes.
Zhao Zhe was a bit stunned; how practiced must their coordination be for the keys to fly over directly without even a greeting?
After changing clothes, Ji Xiang complained, "Meng Laoshi, I'll prepare a White Uniform to keep on your side in the future."
"What, you dislike my White Uniform for being dirty? My heart is clean, I don't feel it," Meng Qingfei mocked.
Ji Xiang chuckled, subconsciously wiped the seat of his White Uniform with his hand, and then looked back at it.
"This must be Zhao Yisheng; I saw him a few days ago but didn't greet him." Seeing an old guy following behind Ji Xiang, acting cautious, Meng Qingfei knew the mindset of an old Attending Physician too well and immediately recognized Zhao Zhe.
Meng Qingfei was also quite moved by this.
Ji Xiang, a Standardized Training Student, had his own medical team less than half a year after arriving at the Second Affiliated Hospital, and the configuration was quite high-end.
Although both Zhao Zhe and Lu Gang were people others didn't want, Meng Qingfei knew the power of such people.
Plug-and-play; there was no need for cultivation or breaking-in at all.
No matter which corner of the hospital it was, as long as Ji Xiang could conquer technical talents like Zhao Zhe and Lu Gang, the medical team she was on would immediately take off.
Doctor Xiao Ji has great ability, Meng Qingfei smiled slightly, "Zhao Yisheng, let's eat together tonight; I'll order the food."
"Hehe, let me taste the food from our Second Affiliated Hospital Emergency Department," Zhao Zhe said, "I spent two years in the Emergency Department at Yuanliao Central Hospital, and I ordered dumplings for every meal."
"Dumplings are good; I usually eat dumplings too," Meng Qingfei said.
"Right!"
"What's the benefit of dumplings?" Ji Xiang asked.
"You take a few bites, a patient arrives, you put them down, and when you come back, you don't need to heat them up at all. I don't even like dumplings fresh out of the pot; I like overnight dumplings. So eating dumplings in the Emergency Department happens to match my habits," Zhao Zhe explained.
"Same here, same here!" Meng Qingfei laughed heartily, finding Zhao Zhe very agreeable, and immediately took out his phone to order dumplings.
He didn't even ask Ji Xiang, but chatted and laughed with Zhao Zhe; it looked like the two were quite in sync.
"Awoo—awoo—awoo—awoo—awoo~~~"
The sound of an 120 Emergency Vehicle came from the direction of the hospital gate.
Ji Xiang was slightly nervous.
For an Emergency Department doctor, the sound of an 120 Emergency Vehicle is the sound of a bugle.
But Meng Qingfei was not nervous at all and was still discussing with Zhao Zhe what to eat for dinner.
"Meng... Laoshi..." Zhao Zhe's face turned somewhat ugly after hearing the sound of the 120 Emergency Vehicle, and he said stutteringly.
"Just call me Brother Meng," Meng Qingfei said, "It's a call from the Internal Medicine Department; the patient is 'ill'."
Doctors face patients who are all ill, and unless it is excessive, doctors will not use the word "ill" in that way.
"Oh? What kind of patient?" Seeing that it had nothing to do with Meng Qingfei, Zhao Zhe immediately relaxed and asked with a smile.
"They say they drank a large amount of floral water."
"Oh." Zhao Zhe nodded.
As a chatterbox, he surprisingly didn't say much and was lost in thought; Ji Xiang felt there must be a "conspiracy"!
"Zhao Ge, what does it mean to drink floral water?" Ji Xiang asked.
"Male patient, between 40-50, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain; whether there is diarrhea depends on the timing. Generally speaking, the medical history is relatively simple, and the treatment is not troublesome," Zhao Zhe said.
Meng Qingfei gave a thumbs up.
Ji Xiang sighed, but he did not go to the System Operating Room to consult the System NPC.
It was obvious that for an old emergency hand, drinking floral water was not a rare disease, to the point that Zhao Zhe could guess the patient's age, symptoms, and follow-up treatment just by hearing the three words "floral water."
"Xiao Ji hasn't seen it before, right?" Meng Qingfei asked.
"Yeah." Ji Xiang nodded honestly.
A smile that all men understand appeared on Zhao Zhe's face.
Afterwards, the two discussed what to eat for dinner again, not interested at all in the patient brought by the 120 Emergency Vehicle.
Ji Xiang was curious and walked to the door of the Emergency Rescue Room to wait and see what symptoms a patient who drank floral water would have.
Very quickly, the rumbling sound of a gurney came over.
Just as Zhao Zhe had anticipated, the Patient was about 45 years old, lying prone on the edge of the gurney and retching incessantly.
He wanted to vomit, but could not bring anything up; the sound of the dry heaving made anyone listening feel extremely uncomfortable.
"Come in, come in!" The Emergency Internal Medicine Doctor stood at the doorway, used their shoulder to nudge Ji Xiang aside, and directed the "traffic."
Ji Xiang tactfully stepped back two paces.
The 120 emergency doctor handed over the case to the Emergency Internal Medicine Doctor; after listening, Ji Xiang realized that both the age and the symptoms had been "guessed" by Zhao Zhe, almost exactly the same, as if he had witnessed it with his own eyes.
The old Doctor was indeed rich in experience, Ji Xiang thought with admiration.
The Emergency Internal Medicine Doctor walked in quickly and had just patted the Patient's shoulder, wanting to have them lie flat to measure their blood pressure, when the Patient's arm suddenly swung up and struck the Emergency Internal Medicine Doctor's arm.
"Stay away from me!" the Patient roared hoarsely.
