Chapter 458: Extreme Violent Operation

~7 min read 1,312 words

Yang Zhuren's arm was positioned at the patient's neck, ready to change direction at any moment to prevent the patient from aspirating.

Ji Xiang's voice rang out, and Yang Zhuren turned his head.

The guests in the Review Room also followed the camera lens and saw Ji Xiang violently snatch the pen from the hand of the Intern standing at the back, snapping it in two.

Yang Zhuren was stunned for a moment.

Professor Shen in the Review Room was also stunned for a moment.

Observing the patient again, the three depressions sign continued to worsen; the difficulty in breathing was very obvious.

Although the pink, foam-like liquid had decreased, the patient's condition was clearly worse; even the guests who were not doctors could tell at a glance that the patient's life was hanging by a thread.

Holding the broken pen, Ji Xiang strode to Yang Zhuren's side and straightened the patient's position.

Yang Zhuren wanted to say something but stopped, yet in the end, he did not stop Ji Xiang.

"Teacher Shen, what is Doctor Ji Xiang going to do?" the Guangtou Zhuchiren asked in confusion.

Before Professor Shen could answer, Ji Xiang, gripping the broken pen, "stabbed" it into the lower part of the patient's throat in one motion.

"Ah~~~"

"Ow~~~"

"Bang~~~"

A female guest gasped aloud.

Tables and chairs shook; it was unclear which guest had been so frightened they fell to the ground.

Even the camera lens began to shake, silently revealing the panicked heart of the cameraman carrying it on his shoulder.

"Hoo-hoo-hoo~"

Pink, foam-like liquid sprayed out along the broken pen; Ji Xiang and Yang Zhuren laid the patient flat on the ground and pressed lightly on the chest to increase pressure.

Screams of shock continued on the street; no one had ever seen such a scene.

"Director..." Fan Dao's assistant said, trembling.

Although this was the scene they had dreamed of, it appeared too abruptly and was too bloody; he was just an ordinary person who hadn't seen blood many times in his life, and he couldn't accept it for a moment.

Especially with Ji Xiang holding the broken pen and stabbing "through" the patient's neck; it looked like a murder scene from a movie.

If he were watching a movie, he might have been excited, but this was reality; he could vaguely smell the heavy scent of blood.

"Continue!" Fan Dao was also scared pale, his hands and feet shaking, but he waved his hand, telling the cameraman to continue.

The sound of the Emergency Vehicle finally arrived.

The sharp wailing sound was like the heavenly sound of salvation, bringing a sense of stability to people's hearts.

Never before had there been such a moment where people wanted to hear the siren of an Emergency Vehicle.

After 1′12″, the Emergency Vehicle arrived; the Doctor jumped off before the vehicle had even stopped, and the moment he saw the pen barrel inserted into the patient's neck, he froze.

"Who the hell told you to do this!" the Emergency Doctor cursed.

"I did," Yang Zhuren said in a deep voice, "Is there an Anesthesia Machine on the emergency vehicle!"

"Yang... Yang... Zhuren, you're here," the Emergency Doctor stammered.

"Prepare for suction, prepare the Anesthesia Machine," Yang Zhuren gestured, "Lift the patient up."

"Prepare Methylprednisolone, 4... 80Mg intravenous injection," Ji Xiang said.

The Emergency Doctor stared blankly at the mess on the ground around the patient, watching the pink, foam-like phlegm still crackling and bubbling out of the pen barrel; he froze for less than a second before beginning the rescue.

"Yang Zhuren, how did this happen?" the Emergency Doctor asked "in passing" while performing the rescue.

"I don't know, initially suspecting laryngeal edema and pulmonary edema, hurry!" Yang Zhuren followed onto the emergency vehicle, and Ji Xiang followed without hesitation.

The Camera Crew wanted to follow, but Ji Xiang glared at them, and then the vehicle door closed.

Fan Dao came back to his senses, cursing inwardly.

Such a once-in-a-lifetime emergency rescue scene, and they wouldn't let the Camera Crew follow.

Although the space in the Emergency Vehicle was narrow, it could fit one more cameraman.

"Director..."

"Director my ass! Hurry back."

"Back where?" Fan Dao's assistant was still in a daze, asking distractedly.

"The Affiliated Hospital Emergency Department; the Emergency Doctor knows Yang Zhuren, the vehicle is from the Affiliated Hospital." Fan Dao's thoughts were clear; he couldn't bother with getting a car and ran all the way, heading straight for the Affiliated Hospital.

In the Review Room, it was deathly quiet; even the professional Professor Shen and the semi-professional Mao Mao were staring at this scene, dumbfounded.

Yang Zhuren had stated it very clearly, and Professor Shen believed the same—laryngeal edema, pulmonary edema, and Professor Shen judged that it was possibly acute left heart failure.

These were all easy to judge, with no difficulty.

But the rescue... just now, Ji Xiang snatched the pen from that Intern, snapped it in two, and then stabbed it into the patient's neck as if "murdering" them.

That action, even Professor Shen had never seen before.

His Clinical experience was all within the hospital.

With professional equipment and professional personnel operating, performing a Tracheotomy was not difficult; if there were no specialist doctor present, Professor Shen could also perform a similar operation.

This was just a very small part of basic training.

But Ji Xiang used a pen barrel to stab the patient's major airway... Professor Shen asked himself, he wouldn't dare.

Let alone in this Medical Dispute 3.0 Era, he wouldn't have dared even in the 1.0 era.

Not to mention that everyone on the street had a smartphone in their hand, recording anytime and anywhere; every action and every word would be preserved.

If the rescue succeeded, there was no reward, just doing a doctor's "duty."

If the rescue failed, one would be condemned by public opinion and drowned in spit.

Weighing the pros and cons, plus the "violent" action of stabbing the patient's neck with a pen barrel, Professor Shen felt that even if he were on the scene, he wouldn't do it.

The camera was jolting, and the cameraman was running with all his might.

No one spoke; only heavy breathing could be heard.

Everything felt so oppressive; the scene of the pen tube being thrust into the Patient's neck and the pink, frothy liquid spraying out filled the eyes of everyone in the Review Room.

Guangtou Zhuchiren was the first to "wake up," and he asked with difficulty, "Teacher Shen..."

As soon as he spoke, Guangtou Zhuchiren noticed his voice was hoarse, so he found a bottle of water to moisten his throat.

"Teacher Shen, was that just now Emergency Rescue?" Guangtou Zhuchiren asked.

Professor Shen shook his head.

Emergency Rescue?

No, that just now belonged to unconventional Emergency Rescue.

It was just a young person like Ji Xiang acting on a burst of hot-bloodedness; anyone who had worked in Clinical for three or five years would never make such a move.

"Teacher Shen, can the Patient live?" a guest asked.

"The Emergency Vehicle is coming; it's a Mercedes, it should have an Anesthesia Machine on board, they can live," Professor Shen replied.

Hearing the words "can live," everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"The rescue just now was really cool; Teacher Shen, you Doctors have all done similar things, right?"

"..." Professor Shen was speechless.

Done it?

Let alone done it, even he had seen it for the first time.

The Patient's airway had just been full of pink, frothy sputum, and combined with Laryngeal edema and airway obstruction, they were already half-dead.

What would happen if he were there himself?

Professor Shen hesitated for a moment, but immediately gave an answer he did not want to face—if it were him, the Patient would be dead for sure.
