Chapter 584

It depends entirely on their own performance.

"Hmm? This is a good idea!"

Xu Rong's eyes lit up, and he gave Jia Xu a thumbs up: "Mr. Wenhe is indeed high! In this way, we can indeed reorganize and clean up the troops under our command step by step, making it easier to integrate into the Lord's main force in the future!"

"Let's do as you said, Mr. Wenhe!"

"However, for those old, weak, sick, disabled, and unqualified people who have been discharged, how do you think we should handle them, Mr. Wenhe?"

"Killing them all is definitely inappropriate, but letting them go, I feel it will also cause trouble."

It's quite troublesome!

"Hehe!"

Jia Xu smiled knowingly: "It seems that you have also seen quite a few problems, General! That's even better!"

"These people indeed cannot be left alone;"

"I wonder if you know about the Lord's policy of military-agricultural colonies, General?"

"Hmm?"

Xu Rong was slightly stunned, then suddenly realized: "Oh! Is this what you are talking about, Mr. Wenhe? Could it be that you are planning to let these eliminated and discharged troops implement civilian colonies?"

"Good idea! In this way, not only is the hidden danger resolved, but it can also bring us a large supply of grain. It's simply killing multiple birds with one stone. Let's do it!"

With this, the problem of grain and fodder can also be solved for the most part, or even completely!

After all, there is more than just the 100,000 troops in Changancheng in Guanzhong. Gathering them all up, plus some refugees, it's no problem to get 100,000 or 200,000 people to engage in military-agricultural colonies.

By then, the grain problem for 100,000 troops should be mostly solved.

As for the land problem?

This is very simple. Now that a large number of people have fled Guanzhong, many noble clans and powerful families cannot stand the chaos in Guanzhong either, and for the sake of their lives, they have left Guanzhong one after another, leaving behind a large amount of land.

Xu Rong prepared to let Jia Xu send people to confiscate all these vacant lands later! To use for military-agricultural colonies.

"Haha! That's right!"

Jia Xu laughed heartily: "However, it's not entirely civilian colonies!"

"We can gather refugees as civilian colonies;"

"But those discharged surrendered soldiers should still be reorganized into second-line troops for military colonies!"

"Only in this way can we truly ensure that these people do not cause chaos!"

"Otherwise, it is basically impossible to truly transform them into civilians and let them honestly farm the land!"

"These people have been used to burning, killing, and looting under Dong Zhuo! Without someone forcing and supervising them, it's impossible for them to be truly honest!"

"Even if military colonies are implemented, we will still have to separate a certain number of regular troops to supervise them and strictly implement military discipline and rules and regulations;"

"Calling them second-line troops is actually more appropriate to call them labor reform troops."

Once a person learns to take shortcuts, it is extremely difficult to make them honestly take the regular path.

It is precisely because Jia Xu understands human nature so well that he gave such advice.

"Oh? Is that so?"

Xu Rong was slightly stunned, and after thinking for a moment, he had to admit that Jia Xu was right.

"Mr. Wenhe, you are truly admirable! I finally understand why the Lord values you so much!"

"What you said is indeed very reasonable! Let's do as you said, Mr. Wenhe!"

Can't compare, really can't compare!

It seems that he is really only suitable for commanding troops in battle; in terms of management, he is in a completely different dimension from Jia Xu.

The feeling Jia Xu gives him is even more powerful than Li Ru was back then!

And yet, such a powerful Jia Xu had been hiding under Dong Zhuo's command in a low-key and unknown manner all this time.

He hadn't attracted much attention and had lived quite comfortably, which is very impressive!
