Chapter 27: Konoha Anbu Attacks

Whoosh whoosh whoosh!

Figures appeared outside Orochimaru's base.

Looking at the tightly shut gate not far away, Kakashi glanced around and said in a heavy voice:

"According to the intelligence, Orochimaru should not be inside right now!"

"So our target is only the data and intelligence within the base; we must resolve the battle at the fastest speed!"

"Yes!!"

Everyone stood on high alert.

The enemy was once a pillar of Konoha, one of the Three Ninja, Orochimaru.

Even if he was not here, he still made them feel heavy pressure.

Kakashi took a deep breath and said with a solemn expression: "If Orochimaru is found, withdraw immediately!"

He turned his head to look at Itachi, who was following beside him, and instructed:

"Itachi, stay by my side!"

The people left behind in the base immediately roared.

Dense footsteps came from the depths of the base.

"Leave a squad to deal with them; Itachi and the others will continue deeper with me!"

Kakashi merely glanced at them, then led the people rushing quickly toward the depths of the base.

In the long, dark underground passage.

Kakashi and others advanced quickly; all doors along the way were opened for inspection.

"Empty room, nothing!"

"This one has nothing either!"

"This one has nothing either!"

The members of the Anbu and Root organization advanced quickly forward.

They encountered not the slightest resistance.

"Too quiet; something is wrong here!"
