Chapter 391: The Powerful Ghost! (Request Full Subscription! Auto-Subscribe!)
After learning how long Sasuke's Susanoo could last, Kakashi frantically devised tactics in his mind.
Yet the best tactic is always to adapt during battle.
Naruto sprinted straight out from within Sasuke's Susanoo, gripping a Senjutsu Rasengan as he charged at the ghost.
"Naruto!"
Seeing this, Kakashi instinctively shouted, then slapped his own forehead.
I knew it—Naruto's always been this way, never changed at all!
The ghost looked at the leaping Naruto and smirked strangely, then drew a massive zanpakutō of its own.
The ghost swung the massive zanpakutō straight at Naruto's Senjutsu Rasengan.
Boom!
The Senjutsu Rasengan and the zanpakutō collided, unleashing a violent explosion of wind.
Seeing this, Kakashi had no choice but to charge out as well.
"Sasuke, we'll do our best to create an opening for you."
Kakashi said, then gripped his zanpakutō and dove down after him.
"I understand! Don't worry, Master Kakashi—I can create openings for you too!"
After speaking, Sasuke immediately directed his Susanoo to slash down at the ghost.
The ghost rolled aside effortlessly, then drew a second massive zanpakutō in its left hand and swung it at Sasuke's Susanoo!
Naruto, who had just been blown away by the wind, now stood up again.
If I can't clash head-on, then I'll find a way to dodge its attacks!
"Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!"
As Naruto formed hand seals, countless clones appeared before the ghost.
"Huh? Ninja techniques? You really think these clones can defeat me?"
The ghost laughed, then slashed at Naruto's multitude of clones.
The other blade clanged sharply, blocking Kakashi's attack.
"Quick reflexes—you're truly the strongest ghost. Seems defeating you won't be easy."
Kakashi spoke slowly, feigning praise for the ghost before him.
In truth, he was flattering it to provoke it.
He wanted the ghost to feel superior, then seize the moment to find its opening.
It was a tactic he'd used countless times—any intelligent being would swell with pride at praise.
Then they'd lose their composure, expose a weakness, and be defeated.
"You're not bad—but with only this much power, I doubt you can beat me!"
The ghost laughed; Naruto's unpredictability left Kakashi stunned for half a second.
Shouldn't it have praised him?
Or completely belittled him—but this guy's praise sounded like no praise at all.
