Chapter 155: Another Use of the Pray Life Third Gift

Hearing Yue Li's soft, gentle voice, Qin Chuan's feeling of loss that had just welled up in his heart quickly dissipated.

After all, this was still Yue Li's first time actively mentioning meeting in reality.

Thinking about it carefully, even if they weren't at the same university, with transportation so developed now, it wouldn't be hard to meet if they really wanted to, would it?

Thinking this, Qin Chuan became happy again and couldn't help but look at Yue Li.

Yue Li had already turned her gaze to the side, her eyes slightly lowered, and muttered softly, "You haven't given the new Spirit Beast a name yet."

"Oh oh, right." Qin Chuan redirected his attention to the Shadowflame Cat before him, stroking its smooth head and fluffy unique ear, and said, "Let me give you a name?"

He pondered for a moment, his gaze falling on the Shadowflame Cat's other side's single horn, and said, "Silver Horn?"

"Pfft—" Before the Shadowflame Cat could respond, Yue Li beside him already thought of a certain character from a classic novel, covered her mouth, and her shoulders couldn't help trembling.

"That does seem a bit hasty." Seeing Yue Li's reaction, Qin Chuan scratched his head embarrassedly, just about to change the Shadowflame Cat's name, when he felt power transmitted from the cat's head into his palm.

It was actively rubbing against Qin Chuan's palm, expressing its liking for this new name.

Thinking that he hadn't yet checked the resources needed for Silver Horn's advancement, Qin Chuan opened its advancement page.

If, at this intermediate stage, a wild Spirit Beast is contracted by a player, the low-level resources already obtained will light up the corresponding parts in the formation, and the depressions will likewise decrease.

After advancement, he casually maxed out its level.

"Since you like it, then we won't change it." Qin Chuan smiled.

Coincidentally, today's resource exploration hasn't started yet.

"That works." Yue Li pressed her palms together and quickly bestowed a fortunate blessing upon Qin Chuan.

Silver Horn's advancement formation had already lit up one-third, leaving only two depressions.

The name of the third Spirit Beast was thus decided.

Yue Li's eyes shifted, realizing Qin Chuan wanted to rely on fortunate power, and she said, "Are the low-level resources in your hand enough for Silver Horn's advancement? If not, I still have some."

Thinking this, Qin Chuan turned his head to look at Yue Li and said, "Shall we start exploring resources now?"

Wild Spirit Beasts, under the guidance of convergence, will successively obtain the resources they need for advancement; normally, a juvenile Spirit Beast only needs to acquire one low-level resource, after which the next two become easier to obtain as its strength increases.

At present, he only needs to rely on the power of Pray Life to directly let the Shadowflame Cat advance.

Immediately afterward, his face again showed an expression of surprise.

Considering the future needs of the third Spirit Beast, he had earlier used achievement points to complete the exchange.

In the bright light, Silver Horn's body enlarged at a visible speed, changing from a tiny kitten appearance to the size of a medium-sized feline.

The two happened to be in the forest, where resources are often abundant, so they didn't need to bother searching for exploration points; Qin Chuan directly activated the Sundial Hand Second Gift on the spot, then obtained the two additional low-level resources Silver Horn needed and embedded them into the advancement formation.

Silver Horn clearly was this case.

In the achievement shop of the third weekly settlement six days ago, Qin Chuan refreshed random low-level resources, limited to two purchases.

But there are also exceptional cases.

"Silver Horn already obtained one in advance; I have two random ones here, just right."

This will allow them to complete advancement in a shorter time, becoming Growth Tier Spirit Beasts.

Its physique became more agile, and black flames appeared on all four paws.

【Spirit Beast Species: Shadowflame Cat】

【Spirit Beast Attribute: Dark-affinity】

【Spirit Beast Level: Growth Tier Lv20】【Advancement】【Evolution】

【Spirit Beast Trait: Shade Mirage Tread】

【Spirit Beast Race Value: 2000】

【Spirit Beast Affection: 76%】

【Spirit Beast Skills: Darkflame (Passive), Shadow Erosion (Active), Shadow Escape (Active), Shadow-devouring Poison (Active)】

【Spirit Beast Introduction: Dark-affinity Spirit Beast Shadowflame Cat, friendly yet timid in personality, likes to hide in the shadows and silently observe its surroundings.】

Each of the two low-level resources, the advancement, and the level increase brought a 1% affection boost; in this regard, Silver Horn's affection increase is similar to Shui Hua's, highlighting steadiness.

However, the specific pattern of Silver Horn's affection increase still needs Qin Chuan to discover and summarize in their future interactions.

After advancement, Silver Horn gained a completely new skill.

The Spirit Beast Handbook's introduction to the Shadowflame Cat stops at the three initial skills of the juvenile stage.

This skill is unfamiliar to Qin Chuan.

He casually opened it and soon saw the detailed description.

【Shadow-devouring Poison: Active Skill, condenses mutated shadow power; any target that comes into contact with it will suffer continuous true damage that ignores defense.】

Again, true damage!

Compared to Shadow Erosion, Shadow-devouring Poison's damage is much lower, but its advantage lies in its duration.

The output effect of this skill won't be poor; more importantly, Qin Chuan saw from it the possibility of combining with other attributes.

Dark-affinity does not conflict with water-affinity or ice-affinity; if Shadow-devouring Poison can be attached to attacks of other attributes, it will bring higher mixed damage.

Seeing Qin Chuan's smile beside her, Yue Li knew he was equally satisfied with Silver Horn's new skill.

After asking about the skill, she first exclaimed, then suddenly thought of something.

"When do you plan to look for a rare-type resource for Silver Horn?"

Hearing this, Qin Chuan's expression slightly stiffened.

He had almost forgotten this matter.

One rare-type resource means one use of the Sundial Hand Third Gift.

However, the uses of the next and the following Sundial Hand Third Gift have already been planned; Silver Horn's rare-type resource can only be obtained as early as half a month later.

Other resources needed for advancement, Qin Chuan can gather in the short term.

This means Silver Horn will have to endure a not‑short wait.

However, breaking through the Elite Tier one day later results in a greater loss of the ranking settlement reward.

If you miss a weekly settlement, you directly lose eight Advanced Resource Fragments.

Seeing Qin Chuan's expression, Yue Li couldn't help but smile, saying, "Forget it, I'll handle finding the rare resources of the Silver Horn."

This way, you can save one use of the hourglass needle's third talent.

"Huh?" Qin Chuan glanced at Yue Li in surprise.

If it were Yue Li's own contracted spirit beast, she wouldn't need the hourglass needle's third talent; using the hourglass needle's second talent combined with the triple luck from Blessing Fate, she could find it after a few more tries.

But the Silver Horn is his contracted spirit beast; what does Yue Li plan to do?

Seeing Qin Chuan's doubt, Yue Li chuckled, "Did you forget that the third talent of Blessing Fate can transfer luck?"

I can add the second talent's luck to myself, then transfer all three times that luck to you, so you can use my method to find rare resources.

The third talent lasts one hour; after transfer, the luck cannot be changed, equivalent to extending the original ten-minute second talent to one hour.

Because the duration exceeds the transfer cycle for rare resources, your chance of finding them is no longer one-third but one hundred percent.

But this would put you in great danger.' Qin Chuan's expression turned solemn as he looked at Yue Li, 'After Ailikete had his luck transferred by you, he encountered Songban Zhigui.'

I will stay by your side.' Yue Li looked at Qin Chuan with a gentle smile.

You'll protect me, right?
