Chapter 183: Before the update, reaching the peak!【Side Activities Chapter】(Added due to 3200 monthly tickets in April)

June 14th, gentle warm breezes.

This is the fifth day after the college entrance exam ended.

In previous years, at this time the intense college entrance exam grading work had only just begun not long ago, but this year is different.

The special college entrance exam also has special requirements.

More senior teachers have devoted themselves to the college entrance exam grading work, and in accordance with superior orders they must complete the grading within five days to open the score inquiry.

Accelerating the college entrance exam grading work is to avoid social fluctuations caused by the update from affecting the fairness of the grading.

This change is not for anything else.

Only because today is the 59th day of the Blue Star 2.2 version update.

Having waited nearly two months, the impending fourth update tugs at countless hearts; the Special Affairs Group has already drawn up countless contingency plans, making preparations as thorough as possible.

Seven days ago, a massive demon beast disaster occurred in the eastern district of Changxing City; it ultimately ended with the slaying of a fifth-tier demon beast, and the leaderless demon beast tide receded like a wave, with countless beasts slain in the process.

This incident was reported in the news, but it did not cause major ripples in Changxing City; the destroyed city defenses were quickly rebuilt, and aside from a few scattered words in the records, everything seemed as if it had never happened, with only a few people affected.

Ji Huai is one of them.

As the first player in the Yan Huang Nation to master Spirit Descent, after this battle ended he was immediately summoned to the Special Affairs Group headquarters in Yan Capital, which also caused Qin Chuan's original plan with him to continue studying skills at noon each day to fall through.

Perhaps after being crippled in that battle, all fourth-tier demon beasts fell, and the demon beast hordes around Changxing City fell completely silent; for seven straight days, not only were there no special affairs cooperation mission invitations sent to Qin Chuan, even minor demon beast disturbances did not occur.

But having learned from that battle, under Zhou Zixiu's leadership the Special Affairs Group's combat personnel became more proactive; if the enemy did not come, they would take the initiative to encircle and annihilate.

Thus, Qin Chuan is idle, while the Special Affairs Group is busy.

With no one disturbing him, he could only spend his daytime cultivating the Nameless Breath Technique.

Time quickly arrived at ten o'clock in the morning, and the score inquiry portal opened.

A few minutes later, Xiao Pang excitedly called to tell Qin Chuan the good news that he had gotten into a second-tier university.

In that case, Xiao Pang's going to Shanghai Jiaotong University is now a certainty.

While he felt happy for his good brother in his heart, Qin Chuan's thoughts drifted unbearably toward an unknown distant place, wondering how that girl somewhere in the Yan Huang Nation was doing on her exam at this moment.

Fortunately, in just over ten hours he will be able to ask her in person.

Over the past nine days, Qin Chuan and Yue Li have become like the divine condor heroes, riding on Little Green's back to cross one game zone after another.

Ice Cream and Little Red had successively reached Hall Tier in the past few days; after being exposed in reality they caused another uproar, and most people had already realized that Luo and Yue Li must possess some ability to lock onto the Hall Crystal, but in the face of absolute strength, even if they guessed it, it would be of no avail.

Moreover, four spirit beasts breaking through Hall Tier to gain new active skills also gave Qin Chuan and Yue Li a certain understanding of this stage.

Hall Tier spirit beasts compared to Elite Tier indeed have not undergone much qualitative change.

But the newly acquired active skills seem to be stronger than the previous ones.

Following Shui Hua's Star·Heavenly Water One Clear and Little Green's Star·Remaining Wind Shatter Sky, Ice Cream and Little Red respectively obtained the new skills Star·Remaining Frost Domain and Star·Attached Bone Flame Scorch.

【Star·Remaining Frost Domain: Active skill, centered on oneself generates a domain, adding 【Frost Freeze】 once every 3 seconds to enemy targets within the domain; each Frost Freeze target within the domain grants a 10% attack increase, up to 60%, lasting 12 seconds】

【Star·Attached Bone Flame Scorch: Active skill, upon activation attribute potency increases 20%, attack increases 20%; during the skill's duration, each attack adds one layer of 【Burn】 to the target; skill lasts 10 seconds, cooldown 20 seconds】【Burn: each second each layer deals extra damage equal to 5% of our attack to the target, each layer lasts 10 seconds, layers stack without limit.】

With the boost of these two skills, Ice Cream's strength remains formidable; Little Red, who originally often chose to act cute and lovable, surpassed Little Green and instantly became the strongest damage dealer among Yue Li's spirit beasts.

Today, upon entering the Dream World, they will cross thirty zones once again.

This time, the one destined to break through Hall Tier is Silver Horn.

According to Qin Chuan and Yue Li's estimation of Hall Tier players, after Silver Horn breaks through Hall Tier, Qin Chuan will also officially advance to Hall Tier player.

Relying on the large amount of Special Affairs points he has accumulated, he has already prepared the sixty thousand experience gems needed to raise three spirit beasts from Hall Tier Level 30 to full Hall Tier Level 40.

As the sky gradually darkened, Qin Chuan idly skimmed through information, and soon it was time for nightfall.

The summer breeze was refreshing, as he drifted into sleep. —"How did you do on the exam?"

Seeing Yue Li again, Qin Chuan immediately asked.

"Not bad." The girl's lips unconsciously curled up; she looked in a good mood, then she seemed to recall something and asked, intentionally or not, "Have you been paying attention to the top scorers of the college entrance exams everywhere?"

"I haven't really paid attention." Qin Chu shook his head, then suddenly recalled a bit of gossip he had seen on the forum today: "However, I heard that this year's science top scorer in Yan Capital went to the exam site in a wheelchair."

"Persisting through the college entrance exam despite leg trouble and still scoring top rank is truly impressive." Qin Chu sighed from the heart, "It seems she's also a girl."

"What's wrong with being a girl?" Yue Li's lips unconsciously curved into a smile.

"Nothing." Qin Chu glanced at the girl beside him, feeling a little guilty as he added, "Whether male or female, to me they're the same."

Yue Li's brows and eyes curved, her shoulders trembled slightly; she wanted to laugh but dared not.

Looking at Yue Li's eyes full of smiles, Qin Chu couldn't help but ask again, "Have you already submitted your application?"

"Yes." Yue Li's eyes slightly lowered, "It's said that this year's college admissions will also be fast; perhaps in just a few days I'll receive the admission letter from Guangdong University."

Guangdong University…

A strong sense of regret and loss welled up in Qin Chuan's heart, as if something precious were slipping away from him, leaving him inexplicably restless and powerless.

Looking at the dim-eyed youth before her, Yue Li couldn't help but shift her gaze to one side, then changed the subject: "We've arrived."

The distance of thirty zones has already been crossed.

Next up is the moment for Silver Horn to break through.

After Yue Li added luck to herself, Qin Chuan came to his senses, took a deep breath, suppressed the myriad thoughts in his heart, and embedded the Hall Crystal into Silver Horn's advancement formation.

Accompanied by a blinding flash of light, Silver Horn broke through Hall Tier.

【Congratulations, player's transcendent value exceeds 40,500 points; player level has advanced to Hall Tier!】

Hall Tier…

Qin Chuan raised his hand, consuming all the prepared experience gems.

As three spirit beasts simultaneously reached Hall Tier Level 40, he officially ascended to the pinnacle of the version. —Chapter 154 has already added the illustration for Little Purple's juvenile stage.
