Chapter 26: Blue Star 22 Version Update

At the lush, verdant summit of the blue-green mountains, a garden with an extremely large footprint was under construction.

On the small paths among the flowers, nurses in light-pink uniforms could be seen accompanying patients of all kinds for walks.

This is one of the top sanatoriums in Yanhuang State, with service and environment both first-rate in the industry.

As the power of the Dream World descended into reality, this sanatorium even hired superhumans capable of healing abilities as nurses, drawing many who needed help.

In the garden's center stood rows of carefully constructed Western-style houses, which served as residences for the sanatorium's patients, each house corresponding to one patient.

In a corner of these Western-style houses, on the bed in a clean, tidy room on the second floor of a building with sky-blue exterior walls, a girl with loose hair lay quietly, her peaceful, delicate sleeping face making her like a fairy-tale Sleeping Beauty.

If Qin Chuan were here, he would be astonished to find that this girl's appearance exactly matched that of the player Yue Li he had just encountered in the Dream World.

At the bedside lay flowers freshly picked and trimmed by the nurse this morning, their delicate petals still bearing morning dew, the fragrance diluting the medicinal smell drifting in the ward.

The door was gently pushed open, and a lovely woman entered carrying a water basin, stepping lightly; she then drew open the closed curtains, letting brilliant sunlight pour in, so that the flowers, grasses, and trees outside the floor-to-ceiling window filled her view.

"Mm…"

The sound and light woke the sleeping girl; she slowly opened her eyes, her shoulders twitched slightly, and she uttered a meaningless soft hum from her mouth.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." The lovely woman hurried forward, raised the upper half of the bed, skillfully adjusted the girl's lying posture, then gently wiped her face with the towel from the water basin.

"Thank you, Sister Xiao Yu." The sleepy-eyed girl smiled sweetly, "Sorry to trouble you again."

"It's nothing." Du Yu said softly, "Since I can remember, my uncle and aunt have insisted on supporting my studies; I've always been grateful. Now that I've contracted a therapy-type Spirit Beast, I have a chance to repay their kindness, and I'm happy."

Saying this, she extended her hands and gently massaged the girl's arm; a light-green glow emerged between her palms and slowly flowed into the girl's arm.

After massaging both hands, it was the legs' turn.

After finishing the massage of the limbs, Du Yu helped the girl turn over and began a back rub amidst her murmurs.

At the same time, on the first floor of the Western-style house, a middle-aged couple stared anxiously at the elderly man in a white coat before them, "Doctor Qu, how is our Yueyue's condition?"

The old man stared at the test results in his hand; after a moment his expression eased, he took off his glasses and said, "I must say, supernatural power has indeed brought new hope to many incurable diseases."

"Doctor Qu, do you mean Yueyue's illness can be cured?" the middle-aged woman exclaimed, her face lighting up with surprise.

"Don't rush, Madam Lin." The old man spoke softly, "The treatment of the Ms. Du Yu you invited is indeed effective; Miss Lin Yue's condition has stopped worsening, and even her muscle atrophy symptoms have been checked."

"But Miss Lin Yue's illness cannot be cured by this alone." The old man's expression showed slight regret, "Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis has extremely complex causes, and it is even significantly related to genes."

"Although supernatural power at this stage is miraculous, it still cannot eradicate genetic diseases."

"What you said refers to the current stage." The middle-aged man who had been silent spoke steadily, "There are no Growth Tier Spirit Beasts anywhere in Yanhuang State now; if stronger therapy-type superhumans appear in the future, might there be a chance for a cure?"

"Well..." The old man gave the middle-aged man a helpless look, "Mr. Lin, this is beyond my expertise; please forgive me for not being able to answer."

"All right." Lin Changfeng nodded, then gently patted his sorrowful wife Zhou Wan beside him, "Let's wait a little longer; Yueyue will get better."

As they spoke, footsteps sounded from upstairs.

The couple looked up and saw Du Yu descending the stairs.

"Uncle, Aunt, today's treatment is finished." Du Yu chuckled, "I see Yueyue's condition is quite good today."

"Xiao Yu, thank you." Lin Changfeng's expression softened.

"Uncle, you're being too polite; this is all I can do." Du Yu smiled and shook her head, "Being able to help Yueyue makes me happy."

"I still have a lesson later, so I'm leaving now!"

"Okay." Lin Changfeng watched Du Yu leave the Western-style house, then sighed, "Indeed, good deeds are rewarded."

Du Yu was merely one of the hundreds of poor students they had once sponsored; they never imagined that now she would give their daughter, stricken with a fatal illness, hope of a cure.

"Let's go see Yueyue quickly." Zhou Wan tugged her husband's hand.

The couple hurried upstairs and quickly entered Lin Yue's room.

Lin Yue, who had been gazing blankly at the scenery outside the window, turned toward the sound and beamed, "Mom, Dad, you're here."

"You're in such a good mood; did you gain something new in the Dream World?" Lin Changfeng's earlier seriousness vanished as he laughed heartily, quickly walked to the bedside, sat down, and took his daughter's hand, "Tell Dad about it."

"Indeed, I have gained something new." The girl's smile blossomed like a flower.

"I made a friend in the Dream World."

As the third update announcement appeared, the classroom, after a brief silence, fell into a bustling hubbub.

Qin Chuan looked at the announcement before him, the smile on his face gradually deepening.

Somewhat interesting.

This version update exactly suited his taste.

Allowing Dream World resources to be carried into reality and exchanged there is crucial.

Qin Chuan, who had just exchanged an experience fruit with Yue Li not long ago, instantly realized how great a change this would bring to the existing situation.

Next, Growth Tier Spirit Beasts will surely sprout up like bamboo shoots after rain, and players who have not yet reached Juvenile Tier Lv10 will also, in a very short time, successively reach it and prepare to advance.

The overall strength of superhumans will also surge accordingly!

Besides this, the remaining two updates likewise caught Qin Chuan's attention.

New Dream World map…

The mysterious Dream World, will it finally actively reveal its tip of the iceberg?
