Chapter 31: Initial Leaderboard Settlement

Wow! You actually built such a large shelter this quickly!

Standing in front of Qin Chuan's shelter, Yue Li couldn't help but exclaim, her face showing an expression of astonishment, "Can I go in and take a look?"

"No problem, feel free to look." Qin Chuan casually waved his hand, watching the shouting Yue Li before him, his expression turning strange.

I never expected that this girl in front of me hadn't even built a shelter, wandering around the Dream World with just a stone knife for twelve days.

Helpless, he could only bring her to his shelter first.

"You even know how to make pottery!" Upon entering and looking around, Yue Li was even more astonished, she widened her eyes at Qin Chuan, "Is our time in the Dream World really the same?"

"Of course it is." Qin Chuan gave a helpless smile, "I just spent extra time studying the wilderness survival guide issued by the Special Affairs Group; you didn't receive it, did you?"

"I received it." Yue Li's eyes flickered slightly, and she didn't say more.

A sharp cry rang out; the Azure Jade Falcon that had disappeared into the horizon at some point flew back, landing on Yue Li's shoulder, softly chirping, telling something.

The stream suddenly froze for an instant, and powerful force erupted in the water, like an invisible giant hand instantly grabbing the Rainbow Tail Fish and then throwing it onto the shore.

That unlucky Rainbow Tail Fish flopped and struggled on the shore, but it was already useless.

"Over there." Qin Chuan pointed at the direction of the water flow, "Don't you have any over there?"

Picking up the stone knife at his waist, Qin Chuan quickly got busy.

However, in the span of a breath, that blue shadow flew out again, a gust sweeping instantly, and the water on its feathers was completely blown away.

After hearing the Azure Jade Falcon's discovery, Yue Li's eyes lit up instantly, she ran back to Qin Chuan with a "dong dong dong" sound, "Is there a stream nearby?"

But the next moment, a blue shadow dove down heavily, instantly entering the water.

"Let's go, I happen to be going with Shui Hua to catch a few fish." Qin Chuan did not refuse.

Qin Chuan planned to move his shelter as soon as possible to the valley where the Shadow Leopard resides, needing plenty of vines and wood.

Shui Hua casually walked to the stream bank, her gaze quickly locking onto a fish in the stream whose tail shone like a rainbow in the sunlight; looking at the Rainbow Tail Fish completely unaware of the impending Descent, it extended its paw and touched the water surface.

The Azure Jade Falcon placed another Rainbow Tail Fish it had caught in its claw onto the shore, giving Shui Hua a look that refused to be outdone.

"Any more fish?" Yue Li couldn't help but swallow her saliva.

In the Dream World, aside from breadfruit, she had eaten nothing else.

Having easily caught a Rainbow Tail Fish, Shui Hua slightly raised her head, looking somewhat proud.

"There's a small cave that can collect water, with water constantly seeping out of the rock crevices; it's quite convenient to gather, but there's no stream like this." Yue Li explained, then looked expectantly, "Can you take me to see it?"

"Shui Hua, the task of catching fish is yours." Qin Chuan gave Shui Hua an encouraging gesture, then turned and walked toward the streamside where vines and wood grew thickly.

The two quickly reached the stream's edge, watching various Spirit Beasts by the bank quietly lower their heads to drink water, coexisting harmoniously; Yue Li sat by the stream, resting her chin on her hands, momentarily lost in thought.

Such a scene, whether in the Dream World or in reality, she had never seen before.

After collecting this vine and wood, only simple processing is needed to turn it into highly flexible vine rope, suitable for making backpacks or fastening timber.

Shui Hua's eyes narrowed slightly.

How bold! Dare to show off your skills in front of me, the Fishing Master Shui Hua!

"Woof!" (Let's have a match!)

Soon, the two figures began to busy themselves, accompanied by occasional splashes of stream water, the Rainbow Tail Fish on the bank growing more and more numerous.

This commotion startled the dazed Yue Li; she turned her head, staring wide-eyed at the two Spirit Beasts vying for the title of Fishing Master.

And Luo?

Yue Li looked left and right, soon spotting a busy figure among the vines and wood.

She stood up, patted her buttocks, then quickly walked to Qin Chuan, taking out her stone knife, "Let me help you!"

"Thanks then."

Qin Chuan didn't stand on ceremony, pointing at the vines and wood, telling Yue Li where to cut.

Yue Li quickly got the hang of it, helping Qin Chuan collect while asking, "What are these vines and wood used for?"

"Part is used to make vine bags to carry the shelter's pottery and other important items away, and another part is used to make the framework for the new shelter."

"New shelter?" Yue Li's expression showed surprise, "Are you moving away from here?"

"Yeah, the Shadow Leopard's nest is a good place, very suitable as a shelter; I plan to move there." Qin Chuan paused, "It's also closer to the Scorch Flame Wolf; after moving there we can quickly devise a plan to deal with that guy."

"Since that's the case…" Yue Li rolled her eyes, probing, "Can I mooch off your shelter?"

"Huh?" Qin Chuan glanced at Yue Li in surprise.

"Don't worry, I'll also put effort into building the shelter!" Yue Li looked very serious, "All players in the Dream World have similar physiques; my strength is not inferior to yours."

"That's good, having someone to look out for." Qin Chuan thought for a moment and nodded.

In the Dream World, one doesn't sleep, and there's no need to overly worry about gender differences.

Moreover, setting aside the Time Stop, Yue Li's strength is not weaker than his.

Such a gaming partner is still quite reliable.

The only thing to watch out for is not to reveal one's own Time Stop.

"Then it's settled!" Yue Li beamed, in high spirits, humming an unknown little tune, even the speed of gathering vines and wood became much faster than before.

Soon, the vines and wood were roughly gathered by the two, and the fishing showdown between the two Spirit Beasts also came to an end; Shui Hua, being a water-type Spirit Beast, had the upper hand, successfully defending her title as Fishing Master, though it was tough on the Rainbow Tail Fish in the stream.

"You guys…" Qin Chuan looked at the Rainbow Tail Fish struggling and jumping all over the bank, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly, "Pick the five most severely injured ones; release the rest."

In an instant, Qin Chuan reaped grateful glances from the Rainbow Tail Fish.

With an extra helper, Qin Chuan's efficiency in moving the shelter increased considerably, and the speed of building the shelter also greatly improved.

Moreover, building a shelter inside the cave is simpler, and Qin Chuan already had experience; when there were still ten minutes left before the Dream World entrance closed, at the start of the first daily settlement, Qin Chuan and Yue Li were already enjoying fish soup happily in the newly constructed shelter.
