Chapter 47: Unexpected Gain, Forum New Announcement

Hey! This is yours.

Yue Li excitedly handed a crimson-red bone to Qin Chuan, then happily looked at the silver-white metal in her hand whose surface flowed with a light cyan glow.

Low-grade resource, Windbreaking Steel.

This other resource needed for the Azure Jade Falcon's advancement is finally in hand.

The two resources were located deep within the Scorching Flame Wolf's den, and they were hidden extremely well—even their scent and energy were concealed; even with Shui Hua's powerful sense of smell helping, it took quite a while to find them.

Thus, the earlier 'lure the tiger away from the mountain' plan itself had low feasibility; even if the Azure Jade Falcon held back the Scorching Flame Wolf, Shui Hua wouldn't have had time to find the resources.

Fortunately, they still had a backup plan, and it worked.

The two walked out of the den side by side; outside, the heavily wounded Scorching Flame Wolf lay on the ground, gasping, while Shui Hua and Little Green stared at it from left and right, eyes fixed.

That tornado, which had been gathering strength for a long time, swept up countless debris from the area, leaving wounds of various sizes on its body, several deep enough to see bone, and the bleeding has not yet fully stopped.

Severely wounded, the Scorching Flame Wolf's strength greatly diminished; with Shui Hua and Little Green watching, it could no longer stir up any trouble.

The Windbreaking Steel in Yue Li's hand vanished instantly; the next moment, the Azure Jade Falcon let out an excited cry, light cyan winds swirling around it, its texture subtly changing.

With the Windbreaking Steel's enhancement, the Azure Jade Falcon's wind-element slash becomes sharper, another major boost to its power.

As for the Azure Jade Falcon, only one final resource remains before its advancement.

Seeing Shui Hua's envious gaze, Qin Chuan shook the fire-element resource he had just obtained in his hand, saying, "Don't worry, this resource can soon be exchanged for the one you need."

Saying that, he without hesitation stored the low-grade resource named Scorching Flame Forehead Bone into his item equipment slot, then selected it among his carried items.

"Woof!" (Great!)

Shui Hua's eyes lit up, her expression turning anticipatory.

It didn't want to be left behind by Little Green!

The two people and two beasts chatted and laughed, while the originally heavily wounded and dying Scorching Flame Wolf, seeing its resources being divided in front of it, became furious to the point of heart attack, ultimately losing consciousness.

"Congratulations, player achieved Hidden Achievement【United Cooperation】, Achievement Points +300, Experience Gem +30"

The suddenly appearing text caused Qin Chuan and Yue Li's faces to simultaneously show surprise.

Entering the Achievement Wall, Qin Chuan quickly saw the second illuminated achievement.

"United Cooperation: Multiple people cooperating to accomplish a cross-level kill"

This turned out to be an unexpected pleasant surprise.

"I didn't expect to earn an achievement as well." Yue Li beside him smiled broadly, "Now my Achievement Ranking should be second place."

"Probably." Qin Chuan laughed as he opened the Achievement Ranking.

Originally, the second place on the Achievement Ranking had 400 Achievement Points; now it has become 500, likely because this time after entering the Dream World they completed a small achievement worth 100 Achievement Points.

It's a pity that the one who should have tied for first with Qin Chuan has not only not improved his ranking, but actually dropped a place.

Because he completed a 300-Achievement-Point achievement, Qin Chuan's Achievement Points have become 800, while Yue Li's have become 600, placing her in second.

"Although the second and sixth daily settlement rewards are the same, saying 'second' sounds much better than 'sixth'." Yue Li chuckled, quite satisfied.

"Who knows, maybe one day my first place will be snatched by you?" Qin Chuan made a small joke, then was about to close the leaderboard, but his peripheral vision swept over the Spirit Beast Ranking and he suddenly froze.

Compared to before, his entry on the Spirit Beast Ranking now has an extra line.

"Spirit Beast Ranking (Juvenile Tier) #1"

"Area: 3675"

"Player Name: Luo"

"Ranked Spirit Beast: Water Leaf Dog" "Ranked Spirit Beast Current Tier: Juvenile Tier Lv10"

"Reference Battle Record: At Lv7 solo-killed Lv12 Shadow Leopard"

"At Lv10 cooperated with others to kill Lv11 Scorching Flame Wolf"

Qin Chuan casually opened Yue Li's ranking and found that her reference battle record also had an extra line, and it was placed ahead of the multiple-challenge entries.

It seems the reference battle record ordering is based on the value of the achievements.

Naturally, a cooperative kill cannot compare to one's own solo kill, but it has more value than Yue Li's previous entry of retreating unharmed after multiple challenges.

Yue Li likewise noticed the change, half-jokingly said, "Looks like my second place on the Spirit Beast Ranking can hold steady until this week's settlement."

"This is what you deserve." Qin Chuan spoke seriously.

The Azure Jade Falcon has now fused two low-grade resources and mastered the ability to unleash a tornado; at the Juvenile Tier it has already reached its peak, and any further advancement would be to the Growth Tier.

If it weren't for this variable of mine, she should have been first on the Spirit Beast Ranking.

"I love hearing that." Yue Li chuckled, "Is the daily settlement about to start?"

Qin Chuan nodded.

After the two sat beside the Scorching Flame Wolf's corpse chatting a few sentences, the daily settlement prompt appeared.

On the Spirit Beast Ranking and Achievement Ranking, Qin Chuan remained first.

Because in today's special training Shui Hua's favorability rose to 78%, on the Superior Ranking Qin Chuan's rank also rose from previously 52nd to 37th, entering the top fifty.

Although the rewards are no different from before, the rank increase is ultimately a happy thing.

It was not in vain that he used up all the Spirit Beast snacks he obtained yesterday.

On the other side, Yue Li's Spirit Beast Ranking and Achievement Ranking are both second, while her Superior Ranking is first.

Her results are even more impressive than Qin Chuan's.

Each collected their rewards, and the two waited, chatting and laughing, for the Dream World Entrance to close.

"See you tomorrow." Yue Li's sweet smile froze at the last instant.

【08:00:00/08:00:00】【00:00:05】

"Dream World Entrance Closed"——Upon waking to the morning alarm, Qin Chuan immediately took out the Scorching Flame Forehead Bone, snapped photos and video, then opened the Dream World Forum.

He had originally planned to go straight into the Dream World Exchange, but as soon as he entered the forum, a pop-up window that could not be directly closed appeared before his eyes.

He was all too familiar with this situation.

Every time a similar situation appears on the dream forum, it means the Special Affairs Group is about to announce something very important.

At this point, he could only be patient and start checking.

Upon checking, Qin Chuan's expression gradually became strange.

Because, this announced matter actually has some connection to him.

【Notice to all Yanhuang citizens: As Blue Star enters version 2.2, we have ushered in a new change, but besides the content mentioned in the update announcement, we have also discovered a new crisis.

According to incomplete statistics, as of last night 24:00, within the borders of the Yanhuang State alone, animal mutation incidents exceeded 100,000 cases, and the mutated animals may gradually evolve into existences similar to Spirit Beasts.

We hope all citizens will monitor their domestic pets and nearby animals; if any abnormality occurs, promptly call the Special Affairs Group hotline to give feedback. Recently, we ask non-extraordinary individuals to reduce unnecessary outings to lower the risk of safety accidents.

Special Affairs Group】

After closing the announcement, Qin Chuan quickly found that his post from last night had been unblocked, and the forum had exploded.
