About an hour had passed.

The door of the hospital room was pushed open again.

Yin Tian, who had been sitting on the hospital bed in a daze, turned his head to see Chen Yu leading the girl back into the room.

The girl’s body and hair had been cleaned by Chen Yu, all the dirt washed away.

Chen Yu looked at Yin Tian as if to show off his achievement.

Yin Tian’s eyes fell upon the girl.

The girl, who had been carefully cleansed by Chen Yu, looked pure and innocent, resembling a snow lotus.

Her facial features were delicate, and her skin was so fair it seemed almost transparent, revealing the bluish-green veins underneath.

The girl had also changed into a set of clean hospital clothes, standing there she appeared completely different from before!

"You’ve worked hard."

Yin Tian spoke softly to Chen Yu, thanking him.

Chen Yu’s cheeks blushed slightly, and she stuck out her tongue at Yin Tian, then led the girl over to him.

But the girl released Chen Yu’s hand and grasped Yin Tian’s arm again.

"Can you speak?"

Yin Tian asked the girl beside him in a soft voice.

The girl showed no reaction, just staring at Yin Tian with clear eyes that lacked any hint of spirit.

Yin Tian sighed softly, saying nothing.

Hearing Yin Tian’s sigh, the girl seemed to think she had done something wrong and looked timidly at him.

"It’s okay, I’m not mad at you."

Yin Tian stretched out his hand to ruffle the girl’s hair gently, smiling tenderly, "Don’t be afraid."

The girl obviously understood Yin Tian’s words.

All signs of fear disappeared from her face, and she resumed staring at Yin Tian with a silly smile.

"What’re you planning to do?"

Chen Yu looked at Yin Tian with a puzzled expression and asked aloud.

"What do you mean what am I going to do?"

"With her."

Yin Tian immediately felt troubled.

Now he didn’t know whether this girl had any relation to him.

It was clear that keeping the girl with him wasn’t a solution.

Yet, if he left her at the hospital, he felt uneasy.

"This girl should also have her own family."

Chen Yu said softly while looking at Yin Tian, "If you take her away, her family might not agree."

Yin Tian spoke helplessly.

Just then, a tumult of footsteps suddenly came from outside the hospital room.

"Is my little sister in here?"

A voice was heard.

"Sorry, this is a private room, you can’t..."

The voice of Zhao Wanlin also followed.

But before he could finish speaking, the door of the room was kicked open.

Zhao Wanlin stumbled back into the room awkwardly, followed by several others entering after him.

The newcomers immediately spotted the girl on the hospital bed.

"Hmph, you really have the nerve, what were you planning to do with my little sister?"

"We didn’t do anything, don’t wrong us!"

Chen Yu retorted in defense.

The man just snorted coldly and then gestured with a wave of his hand, "Take her."

"Stop right there!"

Chen Yu immediately spread her arms wide, blocking their path, "What are you guys doing!"

"What are we doing?"

The man glanced at Chen Yu and said indifferently, "Taking my sister home, what’s it to you? Move!"

One of them even rudely pushed Chen Yu aside and reached straight for the girl beside Yin Tian.

The girl, however, looked terrified, clinging tightly to Yin Tian’s arm and let out a shrill scream that was hard to understand.

"You idiot, come here!"

A person said as they reached out for the girl.

Just as that hand was about to grab the girl’s hair, another hand reached out from the side and firmly caught his wrist.

The man turned his head to look at Yin Tian, "What are you doing?"

"We can talk this out, no need for violence."

"What’s it got to do with you? Let go!"

Yin Tian didn’t respond but instead turned to Zhao Wanlin, "Are these people really her family?"

"They... they should be..."

Zhao Wanlin wasn’t too certain either.

Yin Tian nodded slowly and looked at the girl beside him, "Go with them for now, in a few days, I’ll come find you."

As if she understood Yin Tian’s words, the girl slowly nodded and obediently stood up.

"Looking for my sister? Who do you think you are? Let me tell you, you’d better stay out of the Ye Family’s business!"

The man, who was apparently the girl’s brother, sneered coldly at Yin Tian, "Waste of space."

Yet, Yin Tian just stood up and faced the man, "If you take her home and she’s mistreated, don’t blame me for not warning you, I won’t make it easy for you."

"Threatening me?"

The man’s eyes narrowed, a fierce look crossing his face as he glared at Yin Tian.

"I’m not joking with you."

Yin Tian spoke slowly.

For some reason, the man felt a chill run down his spine, a creeping sense of unease.

After a moment’s hesitation, he let out a cold snort and said, "Fine, let’s go."

After speaking, he was ready to lead the others out.

However, just as he turned around, Yin Tian’s voice suddenly came from behind him.

"You’re just going to leave like that?"
