Chapter 275 Little Bastard_1
After Zhao Wanlin had completed all the procedures, Mrs. Wang still wore a look of shock on her face as she returned to the hospital room.
In her hand, she held a card.
Zhao Wanlin had told her that as long as she had this card, all expenses in this hospital would be free.
She did not know that this mere thin card
would be worth at least tens of millions in the provincial capital!
Back in the ward, Mrs. Wang approached Yin Tian with unstoppable tears streaming down her face, "Tian... thank you so much, if it weren’t for you, I... I really wouldn’t know what to do..."
Yin Tian was comforting Lulu, trying to cheer her up. Hearing Mrs. Wang’s words, he immediately looked up, his face breaking into a smile as he spoke, "Mrs. Wang, don’t say that, we may be neighbors, but in my heart, we’re just like family."
"I used to mooch meals at your place with my master all the time, and you always served me the best dishes. I’ve kept all that in my heart."
Mrs. Wang didn’t speak but nodded, deeply moved.
At first, she only cared for Yin Tian because he seemed so frail and skinny, so every time Tian came down the mountain, she would try to make him something good to eat, never imagining that such kindness would one day save her master’s life!
Just then, a nurse came in through the door with a smile, "Auntie, uncle needs an injection. Who will go with me to get the medication?"
"I will!"
Lulu raised her hand without hesitation.
"You?"
Yin Tian looked at Lulu in surprise.
"It’s okay."
Mrs. Wang smiled gently, looking at Lulu with a kind expression, "During this time, I have been taking care of your uncle, and Lulu has been the one handling many things."
"Okay then."
Yin Tian nodded.
Lulu quickly hopped off the bed and followed the young nurse off into the distance.
After more than ten minutes, Lulu had yet to return.
Mrs. Wang looked at the time, her brow furrowing with concern, "This child, why is she taking so long today?"
"I’ll go take a look."
Yin Tian stood up and headed straight for the door.
Seeing Yin Tian leave the room, Mrs. Wang finally showed a smile and whispered softly, "That child, always so kind-hearted..."
Then she turned her head to Su Qinwei and the other two girls, "What is your relationship with Tian?"
As soon as she said this, Su Qinwei and the other two girls’ cheeks flushed red.
Although they had internally accepted the fact that they were all Yin Tian’s fiancées,
having to voice it out loud, especially with the three of them together, was still something they found hard to say.
Seeing the girls’ reaction, Mrs. Wang was taken aback, then laughed softly, clearly having discerned the true nature of the situation.
Moving on to another scene,
Yin Tian walked along the hospital corridor but did not see any sign of Lulu’s small figure.
When he finally reached the hospital lobby, he started to hear raucous noises coming from afar.
He saw a crowd had gathered in the distance, and the sound of arguing was spilling from the midst of the group.
Yin Tian furrowed his brow and strode towards the commotion.
Pushing through the crowd, he finally saw clearly what was happening!
A young man stood arms folded, his face angry.
Lulu was standing in front of the man, her small head bowed, a small hand continuously bleeding.
Yin Tian’s eyes narrowed slightly.
He saw shattered medicine bottles at Lulu’s feet, and the glass shards – still with fresh blood on them – must have cut Lulu’s hand.
"You goddamn little brat, can’t you watch where you’re going? You’ve dirtied my brand new suit; can you afford to pay for it?" the man said coldly to Lulu, his words venomous and intimidating Lulu to the point where her body trembled, unable to utter a word.
Some in the onlooking crowd couldn’t stand it and tried to mediate, "Enough, enough, why pick on a kid? It’s just a stain; it will come out with a wash. Didn’t you see the child’s bleeding hand?"
"A wash will do?"
The young man scoffed at the peacekeeper, "You poor sucker – do you even understand what luxury is? Have you ever seen a luxury item being cleaned with water?"
"Do you know how much this suit cost me? Eighty thousand!"
Upon hearing the number eighty thousand, Lulu’s tiny frame shook even more violently.
She was young, just beginning school and not very sensitive to the value of money, but she knew that eighty thousand must be a whole lot more than sixty-five thousand.
Realizing she had dirtied a garment that cost eighty thousand, Lulu was completely panicked.
"Uncle... uncle... I’m sorry... I’ll wash it for you, please... please don’t make me pay," the little one was frantic as she even stepped forward to tug at the young man’s pants, "My family doesn’t have money... we can’t afford it, please, uncle..."
She had completely forgotten that her hand was bleeding.
On the man’s pristine white trousers, a bloody handprint suddenly appeared, shockingly evident!
"You motherfucker!"
The young man saw stars before his eyes and kicked out in anger.
"Are you doing this on purpose!"
