Chapter 424: Obtained the Item_1
Sun Ruoyuan arrived at the study, where he saw Old Mr. Sun kneeling on the ground, clutching the "Thousand Gold Prescriptions" that Yin Tian had written and sobbing uncontrollably.
"Grandfather!"
Sun Ruoyuan hurried over, helped Old Mr. Sun up, "Are you alright?"
"I’m fine, I’m just too happy..."
Old Mr. Sun sniffled, "Ten years ago, because of ’Thousand Gold Prescriptions’, our Sun Family faced a catastrophe, but those people had no idea that the ’Thousand Gold Prescriptions’ had already been destroyed in the war of that year."
"All these years, I’ve been trying to restore the ’Thousand Gold Prescriptions’; I never expected it would be completed today. Even if I die now, I’ll have no regrets..."
"Grandfather, please don’t talk like that."
Sun Ruoyuan knelt on the ground, tears streaming down his face as he looked at Old Mr. Sun.
Old Mr. Sun held the stack of papers tightly in one hand, while gently stroking Sun Ruoyuan’s head with the other, "Ruoyuan, our Sun Family... is going to rise again..."
It took a while, but Old Mr. Sun eventually calmed down.
He pulled Sun Ruoyuan to sit on a chair, and asked softly, "What’s the background of that young man, after all?"
"Don’t you know him, Grandfather? He’s been quite the rising star lately."
Sun Ruoyuan then recounted all the events of the past few days to Old Mr. Sun.
After listening, Old Mr. Sun remained silent for a long time.
Finally, Old Mr. Sun let out a long sigh, "No wonder, this young man has an extraordinary identity. You should keep an eye on him during this time; both of you are young, you get along, and should he have any needs in the future, help him if you can."
"Yes, I understand."
...
Yin Tian returned to the Si Family.
Sir Li and the Patriarch of the Si Family were having tea and shared a smile upon seeing Yin Tian brought over by the butler.
"It seems, young friend, that you have gotten what you wished for."
Sir Li spoke with a beaming smile.
Yin Tian nodded slowly, his face unable to conceal his joy, "I must thank both of you for your strong support, otherwise, I wouldn’t have obtained the Qingxin Lingming Grass."
"Enough of that, it’s getting late, and we don’t have a place for you to sleep here, you should leave," said the Patriarch of the Si Family, jokingly.
After draining the remaining tea from his cup on the table, Sir Li stood up, looking at Yin Tian, "Shall we go then, young friend?"
Yin Tian nodded.
The two left the Si Family, took Sir Li’s car, and rushed back to the South District.
By the time Yin Tian returned to the villa, it was already midnight.
"Young friend, the other items you needed have already been sent here by my men, but some, because of the long journey, may not arrive until tomorrow morning," Sir Li said softly from within the car to Yin Tian.
"Thank you, Sir Li," Yin Tian replied with a light smile, "I will never forget the kindness bestowed upon me today."
"No need to be so formal," Sir Li waived off the thanks, "My life was saved by you, what’s this in comparison?"
After that, Sir Li closed the car window and left.
Yin Tian took the Qingxin Lingming Grass back into the villa.
He directly went to Su Qinwei’s room, seeing everyone guarding inside, while Su Qinwei herself was still sound asleep.
"You’re back!"
Yu Mingmiao immediately stood up from her chair, her face revealing blatant surprise and excitement, wanting to approach Yin Tian but feeling a bit shy.
"Mhm, nothing happened while I was gone, did it?" asked Yin Tian softly.
"Nothing, I’ve been guarding here the whole time, no one has come near," Mingmiao replied, eager to show her diligence.
Hearing this, Yin Tian reached out and pinched Mingmiao’s cheek, then walked over to the bed to look at Su Qinwei, who remained deep in sleep.
Seeing Su Qinwei’s eyes closed tight, her complexion pale, and forehead covered in sweat, it was clear she was not resting comfortably.
"How is it? Did you get the medicine?" Chen Yu asked, looking at Yin Tian.
Yin Tian nodded, "I’ve got it. The rest of the medicines are on their way here; by tomorrow morning, we should be able to treat Qinwei."
Upon hearing Yin Tian’s words, the girls all let out a sigh of relief.
"Alright, it’s late. You should all go to sleep," Yin Tian said softly.
Hearing this, the girls did not insist and rose to their feet, heading for the door.
Soon, in the room besides the still sleeping Su Qinwei, only Yin Tian and Yu Mingmiao remained.
Mingmiao secretly lifted her head to look at Yin Tian by the bed. After struggling internally for a while, she eventually stood up and sat down beside Yin Tian.
With her face blushing, she started, "You didn’t run into any trouble in the Inner City, did you?"
"No, just had to make a few stops, but thankfully I’ve got the items," Yin Tian responded.
"That’s good..."
Silence.
Quiet.
Mingmiao wanted to find something to talk to Yin Tian about, but couldn’t think of what to say.
Yin Tian, noticing Mingmiao’s unease, did not speak, but simply reached out his hand, placing it over Mingmiao’s.
