Chapter 503: If You Seek Your Own Death, Even Heaven Can’t Save You!_1
Yin Tian stepped forward but paid no attention to the portly man and the Feng Shui master. Instead, he strode past them, stood there, and gazed at the distant Imperial Capital.
"Indeed, it is a fine location."
Yin Tian muttered to himself.
"Hmph!"
The Feng Shui master immediately hummed proudly, "Nestled by mountains and waters, where the sun and the moon shine in harmony, it is a place where Yin and Yang converge."
"Burying one’s ancestors here ensures endless prosperity for their descendants for generations!"
"To find another site as auspicious as this in the entire Imperial Capital would be difficult; it’s only because of Mr. Yue’s good fortune that his family encountered a death just as such a prime location was found."
At these words, the portly man’s face immediately showed a smug expression.
"Alright then, since you seem to really want this place, I’ll let you have it."
Yin Tian spoke quite casually.
As soon as he said this, Sir Niu could no longer stand by, "Young friend, what are you saying! This place is..."
Yin Tian, however, shook his head at Sir Niu while he was still speaking.
Despite being full of questions, Sir Niu said no more but was curious to see what Yin Tian was up to.
Mr. Yue seemed to be pleased by Yin Tian’s apparent acknowledgment of his position, nodding at Yin Tian, "You kid still know what’s what. I’ll stand by my previous word — I’ll purchase this plot for twice the price."
Yin Tian’s lips curled into a smile, yet he shook his head, "No need for that, we’ll just take the plot next to it; that won’t interfere with you, will it?"
"Suit yourself, as long as this place is mine."
Mr. Yue waved his hand nonchalantly.
Upon hearing this, Yin Tian immediately moved away.
The spot he headed toward was not too far from the grave Sir Niu had chosen, just a mere ten or so meters away.
Yin Tian stood there, traced a line on the ground with his foot, and called over the workers Sir Niu had brought with him, "Come here, dig along this line that I’ve drawn with my foot, remember, the angle can’t be too far off."
Although the workers did not understand Yin Tian’s intention, they still picked up their spades and began to dig.
Sir Niu walked up to Yin Tian, a puzzled look on his face, "Yin Tian, what exactly do you mean by this? Are you really compromising with that guy?"
Yin Tian didn’t answer but instead asked back, "Sir Niu, do you trust me?"
Sir Niu was taken aback.
Yin Tian’s face bore a confident smile, "If you trust me, then do as I say."
After hesitating for a moment, Sir Niu finally nodded, "Alright!"
Soon, although Mr. Yue’s side began their work earlier, Yin Tian had more people, so both pits were dug out almost simultaneously.
Next, the normal process of the funeral followed.
Lowering the coffin, sealing the grave, erecting the tombstone, burning joss paper...
After all the rituals, two hours had passed.
Sir Niu still wore a look of confusion, having no idea what Yin Tian was doing.
Yin Tian, however, ignored Sir Niu’s gaze and quietly completed the funeral ceremony.
Just as they got up, Mr. Yue’s side was also finished.
"Hey, hey, hey, brother, come here, come on."
Mr. Yue beckoned to Yin Tian.
Seeing that Yin Tian was unmoved, Mr. Yue took the initiative to approach him.
"Brother, you seem like a good person. Here’s my business card, if you ever need anything in the Imperial Capital, just find me, and there won’t be any problem."
Mr. Yue put his arm around Yin Tian’s shoulder with a demeanor suggesting a close relationship with him.
"Hmm... you’d better worry about your own affairs."
Yin Tian’s face showed a peculiar expression as he looked at Mr. Yue.
Mr. Yue was taken aback, confused by Yin Tian’s words, not understanding their meaning.
Yin Tian smiled cryptically at Mr. Yue, his face full of inscrutability.
Feeling a bit unsettled by Yin Tian’s smile, Mr. Yue didn’t say much more but turned and walked down the mountain.
The Feng Shui master, naturally not daring to stay by himself, quickly followed suit, planning to leave.
Yin Tian watched the Feng Shui master’s retreating figure, then slowly closed his eyes.
Suddenly, while the Feng Shui master was walking, his body trembled, his legs failed to obey, and he rolled straight down the stone steps.
"Ah..."
Mr. Yue had just begun speaking when he too felt a darkness before his eyes, and followed the Feng Shui master, rolling down after him.
"This..."
Sir Niu was stunned by the scene before him.
He turned his head to look at Yin Tian, suspecting that this incident was related to Yin Tian, "Young friend, did you do this?"
Yin Tian heard this but shook his head, "No."
"This is what you call digging your own grave; not even heaven can save you."
Sir Niu looked at Yin Tian with doubt, waiting for an explanation.
Yin Tian immediately began to explain softly, "The place you previously chose is indeed a Feng Shui treasure, known as the Three Blessings Land, burying ancestors there can ensure the prosperity and good fortune of descendants for a long time."
"Compared to that, the position where Sir Li was buried isn’t quite as good, but it can intercept the spirit vein leading to the Three Blessings Land."
"When the deceased have a spirit, though buried in a blessed land, they cannot enjoy the grace of the spirit vein and naturally pass their resentment to their descendants."
"Just watch; this is only the beginning."
"Mr. Yue’s troubles are still to come!"
