Chapter 508 Departure_1
Patriarch Yue extended his hand and passed the item in his grasp to Yin Tian.
Yin Tian took it and looked at the object in his hand.
It was a wooden token, seemingly made of golden Phoebe nanmu, exquisitely crafted with a pattern that was impossible to replicate, making it clear that forgery was out of the question.
Yin Tian stored the token away, then turned to Patriarch Yue with a grin, "In that case, much appreciated."
Patriarch Yue looked at Yin Tian, slightly overwhelmed by the honor, rose to his feet, and smiled broadly, "Mr. Yin, what are you saying? It’s my pleasure to be of assistance to you."
Yin Tian grinned and then strode towards the exit.
"Mr. Yin, are you planning to leave now? Let me see you out."
Patriarch Yue stood up, feeling light as a feather, no longer constrained or oppressed as before.
Soon, Yin Tian and Patriarch Yue left the Xuanyuan residence.
"Did Mr. Yin come by taxi? How about this, I’ll arrange for a car to take you back."
Patriarch Yue was evidently ready to play the part of a loyal servant, considering Yin Tian’s needs in every matter.
Yin Tian nodded his head and did not decline Patriarch Yue’s offer.
Soon, a car approached from a distance, and Patriarch Yue addressed the driver, "This is Mr. Yin; you must take good care of him. If Mr. Yin is even slightly dissatisfied, watch out for how I deal with you!"
The driver, upon hearing this, also became nervous, sitting in the car, unsure of how to grip the steering wheel properly.
Yin Tian offered a grin, "There’s no need for that, just drive normally."
After that, he got into the car and looked at Patriarch Yue, "Today, I owe you a favor. When you return to Central City, feel free to come to me if you need anything."
Upon hearing this, Patriarch Yue nodded his head repeatedly, "Definitely, definitely."
The sight of these two was rather baffling; it was hard to tell who was actually from Central City...
Upon returning to the villa, Yin Tian told the driver to go back to the Xuanyuan family, and he entered the villa, operating the mechanism to open the secret door.
Whoosh!
A pebble flew toward Yin Tian’s face.
Yin Tian dodged to the side, avoiding the stone, and then chuckled lightly, "What’s this? Plotting to murder your own husband, are you?"
Seeing that it was Yin Tian who had returned, Yu Mingmiao, who was about to throw a second pebble, put down her hand with a sulk.
Su Qinwei and the other girls came out from the secret room in succession and then looked at Yin Tian, "How did it go with what you were doing?"
Yin Tian shook the token in his hand before the girls, "Got it. We can head to Central City anytime."
"When do we leave then?"
"Let’s wait a bit longer," said Yin Tian softly.
"I might need a few more days to enhance my strength."
Previously, after the intense fights in the Xuanyuan residence, Yin Tian appeared to be gravely injured, but he actually gained tremendous benefits.
Even after several days had passed, he hadn’t fully assimilated the enhancements.
Considering the massive number of herbs his master had prepared for him, he worried that once in Central City, he might not have enough time to steep in herbal baths daily.
"Alright."
To Yin Tian’s suggestion, Su Qinwei and the other girls did not object.
For the next few days, Yin Tian spent his time in seclusion, either meditating or soaking in herbal baths within the villa.
Five days later.
Yin Tian looked at the bathtub which had turned into clear water and smiled lightly.
After a full eight days of bathing, Yin Tian had absorbed all the medicine his master gave him.
However, even though the water in the tub had turned clear, he felt no change in his body, as if everything was the same as before.
This made him wonder if his master had fooled him.
But soon, Yin Tian shook his head.
While his master was whimsical, he wouldn’t deceive him about such matters.
That meant the reason he felt no different was because the medicine wasn’t one of those potent elixirs that could bring about dramatic transformations in just a few days.
The medicine was of a kind that improved strength gradually, imperceptibly, and made one’s body stronger bit by bit.
However, as to the specific purpose of the concoction his master had made for him, he knew nothing, as there were no instructions about this medicine in the legacy his master had left him.
"Huh..."
Yin Tian let out a deep exhale.
All the medicine had been absorbed, the power he had acquired from the intense battles was settled, and even the wound on his shoulder had healed completely.
"It’s time to go to Central City," Yin Tian murmured to himself.
He drained the bathtub, then put on a new set of clothes and walked downstairs.
Downstairs, Su Qinwei and the other girls sat on the couch, snacking and laughing heartily at the comedy show on TV.
Yin Tian walked over to them and, instead of hurrying, sat down to watch with them.
After more than half an hour, the show ended.
Only then did Yin Tian speak softly.
"It’s time for us to set off for Central City."
