Chapter 135: Cultivating the Qi-Eating Worms

The Refinement Method Secret Realm, a top-tier secret realm of the Holy Sect.

In the past, Lu Yang had to queue for decades just to use this secret realm, showing how sought-after it was, with almost always someone using it.

However, with his current status and standing, he no longer needed to queue at all.

After greeting True Person Yinshan, a magical decree was transmitted, and the Refinement Method Secret Realm was immediately sealed for thirty years, specially sent to his dojo to aid his cultivation.

"This is the benefit of having backing."

Lu Yang sighed with emotion; although he was a newly promoted True Person, ordinary newly promoted True Persons did not have such privileges. The reason traced back to True Person Chongguang.

As the only Great True Person within the Holy Sect currently planning to ascend and attain fruition, with a Foundation Establishment realm fully perfected, True Person Chongguang not only possessed cultivation at the peak of perfection but was also deeply valued by True Lord Qingcheng Feixue, making him the number one person below the True Lords of the Holy Sect, while the current Lu Yang was his trusted confidant.

Could this favor be any smaller?

"Thank you, Daoist friend."

Looking at True Person Yinshan who personally delivered the secret realm, Lu Yang bowed respectfully and intimately: "I wonder if True Person Chongguang has any urgent matters to assign recently?"

"Duanmu Yuan Tu, do not rush."

True Person Yinshan smiled slightly: "Our immediate priority is to first improve our cultivation. Once Duanmu Yuan Tu's cultivation is accomplished, Senior Brother will naturally not forget you."

Although he said this, True Person Yinshan still highly approved of Lu Yang's such active and willing attitude.

After conversing for a while, True Person Yinshan took the initiative to take his leave; he had already obtained the 【Heavenly Corpse Fiend】 and was about to enter seclusion to refine it, breaking through to the mid-stage of Foundation Establishment.

And after watching him leave, the smile on Lu Yang's face immediately faded.

"As expected, he hasn't broken through yet?"

In the sixth life, when he entered seclusion for thirty years, True Person Yinshan had already broken through to the mid-stage upon his exit; it seemed thirty years was a watershed moment.

Thirty years later, True Person Chongguang would likely be coming for action.

Undoubtedly, this was an opportunity, but also a risk; to profit from it, he must raise his strength to the limit within these thirty years.

"Start with the Qi-Eating Worms first!"

With a thought, Lu Yang descended via his escape light into the Refinement Method Secret Realm, while his mind suddenly recalled a person of extraordinary talent from the sixth life.

"Wang Boyuan."

He created the Art of Gazing at Qi himself, observing heavenly numbers through human fortune; his concept even allowed himself, who had no status at the time, to discover the Yun Clan Ancestor hiding in the shadows.

Undoubtedly, this was a talent.

"Just right, I am lacking a few usable people in hand, and since I plan to reopen the Path of Witches and Ghosts, it would be unreasonable not to have a few disciples with high talent."

Thinking of this, Lu Yang immediately began setting up the Refinement Method Secret Realm.

Although he intended to use the one hundred and forty million living people within the secret realm to cultivate the Qi-Eating Worms, Lu Yang would not crudely let the Qi-Eating Worms eat recklessly.

"After all, I am not some great villain."

Moreover, letting the Qi-Eating Worms eat freely was extremely inefficient in utilizing talent; it was a one-time windfall of draining the pond to catch the fish, leaving nothing after eating.

One must know that people grow flesh.

They didn't even need to be raised, because they would fatten themselves.

Therefore, the cultivation plan Lu Yang prepared for the Qi-Eating Worms was to let them coexist with the one hundred and forty million talents in the secret realm, practicing intensive farming and feeding them slowly.

"First, I need a cultivation system based on the Qi-Eating Worms."

"At the beginning of cultivation, everyone possesses a worm seed, nurturing the worm within the body; the name shall be 【Fetal Breathing Stage】, after all, the Qi-Eating Worm has not yet been born at this time."

"Next, the cultivator must slowly refine blood qi using martial arts methods to feed the worm fetus; when the worm fetus awakens and transforms into a larva, it will provide the cultivator with a thousand-jin immense strength and a body of indestructible diamond, while also being able to swallow the spiritual qi of heaven and earth to nourish the flesh. This shall be called the 【Larval Stage】."

Quickly, Lu Yang organized a complete system.

Larval Stage, Growth Stage, until evolving into a complete form, and even an ultimate form; the Qi-Eating Worm would break out of its shell, thus growing completely to its peak!

By then, not a single one would be inferior to those on the Dao-Stealing Battlefield.

The numbers would far exceed them!

After all, this was cultivated using one hundred and forty million talents; a scale of over one hundred million might truly pose a certain threat to Foundation Establishment True Persons.

And more importantly, when one hundred and forty million people possess a worm seed from birth and pass the worm seed within their bodies down to their offspring, the entire secret realm would be completely under his surveillance; as soon as the Yun Clan Ancestor reincarnated and arrived, he would discover it immediately!

Thinking of this, Lu Yang immediately opened the jade box.

"Hiss hiss..."

Inside the jade box, the Qi-Eating Worm King gradually regained consciousness, yet it no longer possessed the ferocity of the past, but instead carried a bit of fear from the bottom of its heart.

Seeing this, Lu Yang also felt some emotion.

This was the destined son of a World Heaven, with heavenly numbers upon his body; without a True Lord intervening, with the support of the World Heaven, becoming a Foundation Establishment was almost a certainty!

There was even a precedent for this.

Previously, while chatting with True Person Chongguang and True Person Yinshan, he heard True Person Chongguang mention that an accident had occurred during the Dao-Stealing War six hundred years ago.

That time, the Yushu Jiange, the Holy Sect, the Orthodoxy, and the Pure Land, four True Lords joined hands to capture the World Heaven; at the same time, the level of that World Heaven far exceeded ordinary World Heavens, so much so that the participants were not Qi Refining cultivators, but Foundation Establishment True Persons personally descending, each displaying their divine powers; truly a great battle.

However, when the snipe and the clam fought, the fisherman indeed gained the benefit.

The destined son of that World Heaven, using some unknown method, actually severed his karmic ties amidst the four-way chaos and escaped from the World Heaven.

Speaking of this, True Person Chongguang sighed several times:

"Undoubtedly, someone among the four True Lords who commanded the battlefield must have secretly assisted; otherwise, how could a destined son have escaped?"

"But not a single True Lord admitted it, so in the end, it was left unresolved."

"As for that destined son, he fled far away to the overseas seas."

"It is said that to this day, the other party is still enjoying freedom overseas; the Pure Land, the Dao Court, the Yushu Jiange, and even our Holy Sect all have disciples who fell victim to his poison hands."

Regarding this, Lu Yang remembered it vividly.

Therefore, Lu Yang placed high hopes on the Qi-Eating Worms and immediately cast the Great Manifestation Universal Assembly Divine Method, preparing to refine it into a Guardian Deity just like Su Nu.

"Hiss hiss..."

As Lu Yang's magic power permeated, the Qi-Eating Worm was powerless to resist; before long, it was completely refined by Lu Yang and affectionately rubbed against Lu Yang's hand.

"Go."

Lu Yang placed the Insect King in his palm and began to circulate it, continuously infusing magic power. The Insect King actively cooperated, digesting the magic power and rapidly breeding Qi-Eating Insect Seeds.

Only after several years, when the numbers were sufficient, did Lu Yang formally open the Refining Method Secret Realm and send these Insect Seeds out one by one.

What remained to be done was simply to wait.

Lu Yang had always been full of patience; he might as well try to condense his Innate Divine Ability. What if his talent was extraordinary, allowing him to succeed even without the Heavenly Mechanism Supreme Treasure?

Time flew swiftly, like a white colt passing a crevice.

In the blink of an eye, thirty years had passed.

He had not succeeded.

"This way, my talent cannot be fully utilized!"

Lu Yang woke up in a rage, when suddenly a slight movement stirred in his heart. Within the Secret Realm, a newly born infant's Insect Seeds inside his body sent out a resonance.
