Chapter 188: You Are the Real Beast! (Bonus Update!)

"Scoundrel!"

Seeing that he had been instantly transported tens of thousands of li away by someone, the killing intent in Ye Xingfeng's eyes surged violently, almost overflowing.

It was not only because he had been sent away as if mocked by Lu Yang, but more importantly, because of Lu Yang's cultivation.

"Mid-stage Foundation Establishment?"

As far as he knew, Lu Yang had only been in the Foundation Establishment stage for a hundred years; how could he have comprehended his innate divine ability, accumulated enough merit and fortune, and found the Cheng Tian Gang and Di Sha in such a short time?

Extraordinary talent!

"But he is no match for me."

As a sword cultivator, Ye Xingfeng's judgment of the strength of both himself and his opponent was incredibly precise; he had long seen that Lu Yang actually had no means to deal with his flying sword.

Although he did not know what method Lu Yang used to seal and suppress one of the sword's divine wonders, it seemed that sealing just one was his limit; it affected his sword qi, but not much. At most, it could transport him away, but it could not truly harm him, let alone defeat him.

With this thought, Ye Xingfeng's killing intent grew even firmer.

This youth must not be allowed to live!

The next second, he once again merged his body with the sword pill and flew toward Lu Yang; with his sword flight technique, tens of thousands of li would not take long to cover.

At the same time, over the Sea of Stars.

Ting You True Person looked at Lu Yang with a strange expression: "Didn't you say you wouldn't avoid his sharp edge?"

"True Person, do not misunderstand."

Lu Yang shook his head, his thick face looking remarkably calm: "I merely spared his life for now; it is not yet the time to capture him."

Before his words had even faded, Lu Yang first used the Qiu Tian Yi to clear the karmic lock on his body, then used 【Bao Shou Shan】 to rapidly condense his entire aura, and finally followed the vague karmic connection to cast 【Ding Qin Shu】, piercing the void and vanishing without a trace with the speed of lightning before one could cover their ears.

A dozen or so breaths later, the sword light flew to the location.

"... He ran?"

Ye Xingfeng's face turned ugly; he immediately pinched his fingers to calculate, attempting to deduce Lu Yang's whereabouts through karma, but this time he received only a blank slate.

Amidst the brilliant splendor of a divine ability where a rosy light soared up.

Lu Yang's figure appeared, while Ting You True Person stood behind him, sighing: "You brat, this escape technique of yours is truly shocking to the world."

"I am not escaping; I was competing with him in flight speed."

"The facts prove that he is far inferior to me!"

Lu Yang's tone was extremely serious, with no hint of nonsense; seeing his solemn expression, Ting You True Person almost believed him for a moment.

"By the way, where did you fly to?"

Lu Yang shook his head: "I directly burned my remaining merit and fortune, locked onto the karmic location of the 【A Bi Sword】, and then flew here."

After speaking, Lu Yang immediately pinched his fingers to calculate; with the assistance of the Qiu Tian Yi, plus the fact that he already had deep karmic ties with the 【A Bi Sword】, and since he came here specifically to settle the karma, he understood the cause and effect without the slightest effort. At the same time, 【Ding Qin Shu】 ceased its operation.

"Whoosh, whoosh..."

The brilliant splendor of the divine ability quietly dispersed; Lu Yang looked around and discovered he had landed on an island, surrounded by a hazy crimson glow.

Outside the island, the soul-destroying wind blew year-round without dispersing.

"This is within the Foundation Establishment realm!"

A flash of surprise crossed Lu Yang's eyes; this was the first time he had seen something outside the Dao Foundation within the Foundation Establishment realm. Could someone have actually built an island here?

"This place is named 【Blood Demon Island】..."

Lu Yang rubbed his fingers, continuing to calculate the information:

"Every hundred years, 【Blood Demon Island】 falls from the Foundation Establishment realm into the mortal world, devouring living creatures around it to maintain the array operation within the island."

"And the person who built this island was the original owner of the 【A Bi Sword】, the late-stage Foundation Establishment True Person of the Holy Sect in days gone by, whose Dao title was Blood Demon... His soul is inside the island, currently in a state of sleep. What I need to do is help him reincarnate back to... back to... Damn it, I've been scammed!"

Suddenly, Lu Yang abruptly stopped his movements.

Because just now, he finally calculated the method for the karma he had undertaken: how to help that Blood Demon True Person of the Holy Sect return through reincarnation.

"This Blood Demon True Person was too murderous in his past life."

"So much so that during one of his travels, he actually killed a celestial spirit born of heaven and earth, resulting in heavenly punishment; he had to repay it by being a pig or a dog for three lifetimes."

However, having achieved the late stage of Foundation Establishment, Blood Demon True Person was already in the twilight of his third life. A Foundation Establishment True Person has at most five lives; if he really became a pig or dog for those three lives, he would be like the Arhat Fu Long Arhat, with no chance of transcendence in this life, and even the cultivation of his previous lives would be lost in an instant.

So he thought of a plan.

He sent the 【A Bi Sword】 and the 【San Jiu Soul-Destroying Gourd】 back to the Holy Sect, then hid in the Foundation Establishment realm through 【Blood Demon Island】, cutting off the influence of reincarnation.

In plain terms, he forcibly refused to reincarnate.

Of course, this was only a delaying tactic; not only was it no different from being a vegetable, it was worse than death, and given enough time, he still could not escape reincarnation.

So the key lay in the karma of the 【A Bi Sword】.

Blood Demon True Person was unable to reincarnate because of the heavenly punishment, and whoever took the 【A Bi Sword】 must help him reincarnate. So, how could they help him?

"Damn it, they want me to be the scapegoat!"

Everyone who undertook the karma of the 【A Bi Sword】, after entering Blood Demon Island, would have a portion of the heavenly punishment power moved away from them by him using secret arts through the karma.

Over time, all the heavenly punishment would be moved away.

And Blood Demon True Person could regain his freedom, enter reincarnation again with no debts weighing him down, and start over, quickly returning to the late stage of Foundation Establishment.

Therefore, the sword masters of the 【A Bi Sword】 throughout the generations would all die suddenly for various reasons; after all, they shared in Blood Demon True Person's heavenly punishment, could not escape the calamity qi clouding their minds, and thus fell one after another. Over time, the True Persons of the Holy Sect naturally dared no longer make contact with it.

"You beast!"

Lu Yang was so angry his hands shook; he felt he had overestimated the lower limit of the Holy Sect's True Persons. How could such a shameless and despicable idea even occur to them!

And they specifically target the Holy Sect's True Persons!

These people, their hearts are too black!

Compared to these beasts of the Holy Sect, honest and kind-hearted me is simply like a white lotus, rising from the mud unstained, washed by clear ripples but not seductive...

However, very quickly, Lu Yang discovered something was wrong.

"The Great Art of Deceiving Heaven?"

That True Person Blood Demon actually left behind the secret technique for shifting Heavenly Punishment through karma; anyone who inherits his karma can deduce it!

Looking at the secret technique content he had deduced, Lu Yang fell into deep thought, his expression growing increasingly strange: "Specially leaving behind this secret technique... damn it, could it be that he was deliberately inciting those True Persons of the Holy Sect who were cheated to use the same method to cheat others?"

He even brought down the line!

Thinking of this, Lu Yang's eyes suddenly shifted: "Come to think of it, I am now under the Heavenly and Earthly Killing Intent, and those with karma to me are all waiting for me outside."

He suddenly had a bold idea.

The principle of the Great Deception Heaven Art is simply to transfer the karma of giving away treasures, letting the other party bear the Heavenly Punishment, giving one portion of capital but reaping tenfold profit.

"In that case, I might as well learn from the advanced experience of the True Persons of the Holy Sect. True Person Blood Demon created a 【Blood Demon Island】; I'll make one too... Yes, just make a newly emerged secret realm, full of heavenly treasures and earthly gems, filled with my treasures, where those who enter can take whatever they want..."

Once they take it, they owe me karma!

"At that time, I will use the Great Deception Heaven Art to transfer all the Heavenly Punishment to those who owe me karma, making them blinded by calamity qi, killing each other for the secret realm treasures."

"By the time most of them are dead and the survivors are mostly severely injured, I will come out to clean up the mess, kill everyone in one stroke, and conveniently retrieve the treasures I gave away... Doing this is practically profit without capital; True Person Blood Demon was far too conservative!"

"..."

Good heavens!

Listening, Patriarch You stood beside Lu Yang, looking helpless: Compared to you, a pillar of the Holy Sect, what is True Person Blood Demon? You are the real beast!
