Chapter 15: Giant Bloodline
"Wizard!"
Seeing this giant who rode a motorcycle down from the sky, Dali's face showed little shock.
Undoubtedly, this person is a wizard, and only a wizard could do that.
"Is he the teacher from the Hogwarts Magic School? Such an entrance really catches me off guard," Dali murmured to himself.
He had originally thought a wizard would appear suddenly at his doorstep like teleportation, or perhaps ride the legendary flying broom down from the sky.
But riding a motorcycle down from the sky was something he never imagined.
Cyber wizard?
While thinking that, Dali opened the bedroom door and headed downstairs.
In the small bedroom on the second floor, Harry poked his head out, his face full of panic and surprise.
"A giant landed on the courtyard lawn," Harry said anxiously.
"Hmm, I see it. Most likely it's a teacher from the Hogwarts Magic School. Let's go take a look together."
Dali went down the stairs, and a knock sounded right at the doorway.
"Ugh, damn, why is this door so small!"
Dali reached the doorway and heard the quiet complaint from outside.
Snap!
Dali opened the main door, and by the bright moonlight saw the over‑two‑meter‑tall giant outside.
His face was almost entirely covered by fluffy beard and long hair, with only a pair of bright eyes shining beneath the thick hair visible.
"Hello."
Dali spoke up.
"Oh, hello."
Seeing Dali, the giant slightly furrowed his brow, his gaze drifting quickly toward Dali's back.
When he saw the skinny, timid figure standing at the stairwell, the giant finally gave a faint smile and squeezed in through the doorframe.
Dali quickly stepped aside.
"So this is Harry, huh? Long time no see. I'm the key keeper and game preserve guard of the Hogwarts Magic School, Ruber Hagrid; just call me Hagrid," Hagrid introduced himself.
"You… hello," Harry replied, a bit bewildered.
"Haha, anyway, happy birthday, Harry."
Hagrid, while speaking, pulled a slightly dented box from the inner pocket of his coat and handed it to Harry.
Harry, with trembling hands, opened the box and saw a sticky chocolate cake inside, its green frosting spelling: Happy Birthday, Harry.
"Thank you."
Though he hadn't figured out the situation, Harry still remembered to give thanks.
"You're welcome," Hagrid said with a smile.
Dali, watching the scene, showed a hint of contemplation in his expression.
"This man named Hagrid has met Harry before, and his attitude toward Harry seems quite good."
Dali judged in his mind.
Moreover, he could clearly feel that Hagrid didn't like him; if Dali hadn't taken the initiative to say hello, Hagrid might not have bothered to acknowledge him.
"Interesting, it seems my cousin has many things I don't understand."
Dali thought to himself.
He wasn't upset by Hagrid's differential treatment; on the contrary, he preferred to discover the essence of things through their outward aspects.
Those things beneath the surface are what truly merit investigation.
"Who are you!!! Why are you in my house!"
At that moment, Vernon and Penny finally came down from the second floor.
When they saw such a massive creature in their house, Penny nearly fainted from shock.
Vernon's complexion was also grim; he held a hunting rifle that seemed to have come from nowhere, yet it didn't make him feel safe, as his slightly trembling hand showed.
"Dad, this is a Hogwarts teacher; no need to panic," Dali said immediately.
"Hmph, Desi Li, compared to your son, after a few years apart, you really have become senile."
Hagrid snorted coldly, glanced at Dali, and sauntered into the living room.
"Oh my god, without my permission, you can't…"
Watching Hagrid enter the living room, Vernon let out a terrified scream; it was truly more painful than being killed.
"Dad, it's fine, leave it to me; I can handle it."
Dali said that and walked into the living room.
Harry hurriedly followed.
"Oh, I never expected Desi Li could have a wizard son."
Hagrid glanced at Dali, then turned his attention to Harry.
"Oh, Harry, the last time I saw you you were just a baby, only… only this big."
"Um…"
Harry stared at Hagrid, unsure how to reply.
"Regarding the Hogwarts Magic School, you two should know by now, right?"
Hagrid continued.
"Mm, got it," Dali and Harry both nodded.
"Good, that saves me from having to explain."
Hagrid finished speaking, then pulled out a lively, jumping owl from his own clothes, and hastily wrote a letter.
Dali glanced at it; it was a letter addressed to Professor Dengbulido, headmaster of Hogwarts School of Magic, saying that he had already met Harry and Dali and would, over the next day, lead the two to buy what the school needed, so he need not worry.
After handing the letter to the owl to take away, Hagrid pulled Harry over, gave him a big hug, held Harry's hand, and asked about his well-being.
It was clear that he really liked Harry and also cared deeply for him.
As for Dali standing nearby, he completely did not want to glance at him again.
Vernon and Penny stood in the corner of the living room, their faces grim; they occasionally glanced at each other, nothing but terror.
Dali did not disturb Hagrid and Harry's catching up; he stood aside, quietly observing Hagrid.
With Spiritual Sight, Dali could see the energy stored deep in Hagrid's soul, and at the same time he saw some unusual light on Hagrid's body.
"He seems…… not purely human."
Dali thought to himself.
"Giant bloodline?"
He speculated, after all, this person's stature far exceeded that of a normal standard.
Moreover, in that strange world, giants also exist; from this perspective, Hagrid before him very likely possesses giant bloodline.
However, Dali did not feel much threat from Hagrid, nor did he sense any evil or madness.
Only after Hagrid finally released Harry did Dali get a chance to speak.
"Cough cough, may I ask boldly, what exactly happened to Harry's parents, that is, my aunt and uncle's family?"
Dali got straight to the point in his inquiry.
The air in the room instantly stiffened, and at that moment Harry fixed his hopeful gaze on Hagrid.
He also really wanted to know what had happened to his own parents.
