Chapter 83: Melee Wizard
In an instant, the Giant Monster froze in place.
But only a moment later, the Giant Monster roared, turned its head to look at Harry and the others behind it, and stupidly blinked its huge, bell-like eyes.
"Damn it!"
Luoen's face turned pale; seeing this huge monster up close was truly terrifying.
"Ordinary magic has little effect on him!"
Dali saw this and realized that the magic he currently commanded would have little effect on a Giant Monster of this level.
"Fall back, lure him out."
Dali shouted.
Harry and Luoen, hearing this, hurriedly ran out of the bathroom.
At this point, the Giant Monster had been enraged by Dali's magic and came charging out fiercely.
"What should we do?"
Harry shouted.
"Damn it, why hasn't a teacher come yet?" Luoen yelled, his face pale.
"You two step aside; I'll lure him away, then you go get Hermione out."
Dali shouted.
Extraordinary Ability had already been released; a powerful aura emanated from Dali, enveloping the Giant Monster.
Although it wasn't very smart, it could clearly sense the aura from Dali that made it fearful.
This made the Giant Monster hesitate a bit.
For a moment, it didn't know what to do.
Such a tiny creature could easily be crushed by it, yet it could clearly feel a strange aura from Dali, making it want to submit and worship.
Seeing the Giant Monster stop in place and not move outward,
Harry and Luoen nervously held their breath.
"Blazing flames!"
Dali raised his hand and cast another spell.
A tongue of fire fell on the monster's body, beginning to burn fiercely.
"Roar!"
The Giant Monster let out an angry howl.
It hardly had any clothing to begin with, and Dali's magic ignited the few scraps it wore, making it extremely angry.
The Giant Monster roared as it chased after Dali.
"This skin is really thick!"
Dali watched the flames on the Giant Monster's body burn continuously, but they had almost no effect; its hide, as hard as granite, blocked the fire, making it impossible to inflict any effective damage.
However, Dali's goal had already been achieved; he had successfully lured the Giant Monster out into the hallway.
Whoosh!
The Giant Monster swung its wooden club at Dali.
Dali nimbly dodged the attack and flashed to the Giant Monster's feet.
Bang!
The club struck the ground not far away, producing a huge sound that even shook the floor.
Dali seized the opportunity, clenched his fist, and punched the Giant Monster's leg.
The Giant Monster's body twitched slightly, letting out a cry of pain.
Its skin is thick and can block some magical effects, but against this pure physical attack, its defense is not that high.
At this moment, Dali brought his barbarian traits to the utmost.
Immediately, the Giant Monster swung its huge, fan-like left hand at Dali to grab him.
It intended to crush this monkey-like thing violently.
"All Petrify!"
Dali again chanted the incantation and cast a spell.
Although this creature has high magic resistance, Dali's magic couldn't be very effective, but it could slow the Giant Monster's body a bit, which was enough for Dali.
Bang bang……
Dali then threw two more punches.
To unleash his strong melee ability, Dali directly tossed his wand aside; this thing in his hand now was about as useful as a small twig.
Seeing the Giant Monster swing its wooden club at Dali again,
"Fluorescent Flash!"
Bang!
A blinding light suddenly appeared before the Giant Monster, briefly putting it into a state of blindness.
Wandless casting, Dali had now practiced to great proficiency; combined with his barbarian melee ability, he could unleash combat power far beyond his level.
The barbarian ability takes the lead, magic assists; the two complement each other, greatly boosting Dali's combat power.
"Good heavens, how did he manage that?"
At this moment, Harry and Luoen had already rescued Hermione from the bathroom and happened to see Dali dueling the Giant Monster alone; the sight shocked them immensely.
"Maybe, it's because I've been practicing on you."
Harry said blankly.
Dali had previously been enthusiastic about boxing, and he was Dali's best punching bag.
At that time, Dali merely had brute strength; bullying him was still fine, but wanting to reach the level of challenging a Giant Monster was almost impossible.
But the close-combat ability Dali is showing now is far superior to those boxing masters.
Harry Belief, if Dali previously had such strength, he could have already been beaten to death by Dali, utterly unable to survive to now.
Even, he seemingly should also thank Dali for ten years of mercy not to kill.
The other side of the corridor.
Ma Er Fu, Ke La Bu, and Gao Er have already become completely dazed.
This damn thing is something a wizard can do?
Or rather, is this still a wizard?
This is completely different from the image they had of wizards elegantly chanting spells, toying with monsters between applause, and then easily subduing them.
Dali simply pioneered the path of close-combat wizards.
Each time he strikes, he can heavily hit that Giant Monster, and being able to make such a thick-skinned Giant Monster emit such a miserable cry shows how terrifying Dali's fists are.
And the Magic that Dali occasionally displays also makes the Giant Monster almost incapable of fighting back.
Most importantly, when Dali displays Magic, he fundamentally does not need a wand.
He can always use suitable Magic at critical moments to interrupt the Giant Monster's attack, thereby gaining time for himself to strike and dodge.
「Ma Er Fu, I Belief, we had better not provoke this guy; he is a complete barbarian. 」 Gao Er swallowed saliva, with difficulty said, 「Very barbarian! 」
「What you said is correct, why would we lower ourselves to the general Knowledge of a barbarian? 」 Ke La Bu quickly expressed agreement.
Ma Er Fu Lack speech, merely in his eyes besides fear, there was also relief.
Ma Er Fu suddenly Belief, the previous time being hit by Dali to the hospital was already light; if Dali were to go all out, two punches Bang Bang he might go see his grandmother. Oh wrong, maybe only one punch needed.
Too scary.
Too violent.
Too bloody.
Bang!
Dali threw another punch; this time, the Giant Monster's legs finally couldn't hold up, and with a Bang it fell to the ground.
Dali turned, elegantly dodging the Giant Monster's descending body, arriving at its head.
Bang!
One punch fell, directly striking the Giant Monster's forehead.
The next moment, the whole world fell silent, leaving only Dali's heavy breathing.
