Chapter 130: Hello, Peter

~7 min read 1,313 words

Murphy had already done most of the preventive measures he could.

But blind prevention couldn't solve the problem. Murphy prepared to go find Lucius to ask for information.

He highly suspected that this wave of werewolf attacks had something to do with those "friends" of Lucius.

However, upon arriving at Malfoy Manor, he saw that the entire Lucius family had run away, leaving behind only a house-elf, Betsy, saying they had gone to Rome for a vacation and might not be back for half a year.

"Ha!"

Murphy was angered into laughter. As expected of Lucius, wanting to offend neither side, right?

Fine, let you run. See if I don't break your legs when you come back.

Lucius couldn't be counted on. Murphy thought of those few captured werewolves again.

He arrived at the Transfiguration Research Group.

After the three werewolves were captured, they were all sent here. The scientists of the Transfiguration Research Group didn't slice them up directly, but to prevent them from suddenly attacking people, most of the time, the three werewolves had their hands and feet locked with iron chains and were kept in cages.

Andrew and the others would extract some of their blood from time to time for research.

Murphy went over and didn't waste words, directly using a few Legilimency spells on the werewolves.

But these werewolves were all small fry and didn't know any inside information. The reason they went to bite Murphy's shop assistant was all driven by Greyback, but as for who the person directing Greyback was, they knew nothing.

However, they weren't completely ignorant. In the mind of the last captured werewolf, Murphy read a piece of news.

Greyback was very angry because the recent few attack incidents hadn't achieved any effect, and he was preparing to pull off something big.

From the heads of these werewolves, Murphy learned the approximate number of these werewolves, about thirty-something, and it seemed to be still increasing.

If so many werewolves attacked several small teams at the same time, the Watchers might really be caught off guard and get injured.

And once they succeeded, the sense of security that had been hard-won by the Watchers' victory would be broken, and his potion shop would likely have no one coming to work.

Was this their plan?

To take down his industry?

Have to say, it was still somewhat useful.

A large part of his current cash flow relied on Beauty Potion and Love Potion. Once the supply of these two potions had problems, he would soon face financial difficulties.

Must think of a way to reduce the pressure on the Watchers.

Murphy thought of that group of Aurors again.

Seen enough of the show, right?

Time to come and contribute some effort.

But how to get the Aurors to deploy was also a problem.

Rita Skeeter was mocking and satirizing in the Daily Prophet every day, and Barty Crouch could endure it until now and still remain indifferent. His endurance was so strong that he felt qualified to unify the five great nations and become the God of Ninjas.

Without some greater stimulation, he was afraid he wouldn't send out the Aurors at all.

What could stimulate him?

Barty Crouch Jr.?

This was old Barty's soft spot; it could definitely stimulate him.

But the power of this stimulation was a bit too great; if things went wrong, old Barty might fight him to the death.

Perhaps…

Sirius?

Murphy pondered for a while, and a plan gradually took shape in his mind.

He went to find the goblin Locke.

"Locke, that house at White Ferret Mountain before, take me to see it."

Locke's home was near White Ferret Mountain. Murphy felt the scenery there was good, so he casually mentioned to Locke that he should buy a house. About half a year ago, Locke had gotten this done, but Murphy had never had time to go there.

Devon, Ottery St. Mary village.

Murphy took Locke and Apparated to appear near Locke's home, then Apparated again, arriving on a hillside.

This was a spacious courtyard, adhering to the wizard's eccentric aesthetics, built extremely casually.

The house was piled up with stones and wood, overall divided into three parts. The designer seemed to have wanted to make it an ancient castle at first, building a tower of unknown meaning, then changed their mind, turning the other half into something like a mill, but these two parts seemed to have been abandoned in the end. Only the crooked house standing next to it with a tall chimney looked like it was used for living.

The courtyard had clearly been carefully cleaned and arranged. There were quite a few flower pots on the walls and in the yard. A house-elf was standing in the yard, respectfully waiting for the two.

"This is the house-elf Tata. He has been here taking care of the house for you."

Tata looked about the same as other house-elves, but his right ear seemed to be missing a piece. "Hello, Tata."

"Mas, Master, new master, it is my honor to see you." Tata said with tears in his eyes, as if he had felt a great honor, trying his best to stand straight.

Hmm… Murphy wasn't seeing this emotional problem of house-elves for the first time, so he didn't make a fuss. He let Tata take him around everywhere, ordered the mill and the tower to be renovated and decorated, and then Murphy returned to the courtyard.

Looking into the distance from this position, the view was very open. Large stretches of wilderness and tree clusters seemed to stretch to the horizon.

He watched for a while, plucked a few flowers from a flower pot, and said to Locke: "I'm going to visit the neighbors, no need to follow me."

After speaking, he Apparated and appeared in front of a crooked wooden house.

On the grass in front of the Burrow, Fred and George were teasing their younger brother. "You're going to school next year, Ron. Can't do it without knowing a few spells. Isn't that right, George?"

"That's right, Fred. On the train to Hogwarts, everyone is talking about what kind of magic they will do, but Ron can't say a word…"

"Too embarrassing."

"Too pitiful."

"We can't watch our little brother lose face."

"So we decided to teach you two tricks."

"You see, we happen to know a few spells that a young wizard of your age can also use."

"How about a Transfiguration spell? Fred?"

"Very good, George. Transfiguration spells are powerful and will surely make others look at you with new eyes. For example, we can teach you to change Scabbers' color…"

"Then what is the spell?"

"Let me think, oh, Daisy, sweet cream, and sunshine…"

"Turn this silly fat rat yellow?"

"Too great, Fred!"

"You too, George!"

"Come on, Ron, recite the spell…"

"Daisy, sweet cream, and sunshine, turn this silly fat rat yellow!"

"Not bad, do it again!"

"Daisy, sweet cream, and sunshine, turn this silly fat rat yellow!"

"Very good, Ron, you've mastered this spell! Ha, cough…"

"Then can I try it with your wands?"

"That won't do, Ron. Wands have to be your own, remember?"

"Bill is already working, maybe he can buy you one."

"Charlie is graduating next year too, maybe his wand can be used by you…"

"You just remember the spell first, little brother. When you get your wand, you can show your magic to your friends!"

"Ron Weasley! Transfiguration Master! Too great! Pfft… cough cough…"

Ron was quite happy being fooled by his brothers. Turning his head, he saw a young wizard appear in his own yard.

That face seemed a bit familiar.

"Hello." Murphy also saw the three children, then his gaze fell on the gray rat Ron was holding in his arms.

Hello, Peter.
