Chapter 147: Moga!

~8 min read 1,458 words

North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

On a dead tree, a group of crows were holding a meeting.

Attendees, besides Murphy, the British wizard crow, were all friends and relatives of the American crow, Miss "Coo-coo-coo".

"Coo-coo-coo" is actually a transliteration. The meaning of this American crow lady's name if translated into human language is roughly: "Bugs are delicious."

"Caw, bugs are delicious, where did this bird come from? I see he doesn't look like us, not good-looking, very ugly." Coo-coo-coo's big cousin "Coo-ga-ji" commented, "I don't approve of this marriage."

Miss Coo-coo-coo went up and plucked a few feathers from her big cousin's neck with one bite, "Coo-ji, get lost, you're the ugly one!"

"Coo, a good bird from afar," an old crow spoke up, with an Indian accent, "Why do you want to find that terrible big reptile?"

Murphy heard that there was a chance, "Caw, respected old bird, I have a reason why I must find it. This concerns my painful past, which I have never spoken of. But in exchange for your help, I am willing to tell my story."

"Caw, my mother and my father once lived on this land. They hunted in the jungle and soared in the high sky. They were highly respected hunters and singers."

"But one day, they accidentally trespassed into the territory of that reptile and woke up that sleeping monster."

"It first turned my mother into stone. My father was filled with grief and indignation and swore revenge, but in the end, he only left a wound on that reptile's nose and fell into an eternal sleep."

"Caw, my uncle witnessed all this and told me the final heroic posture of my parents. I swore to make that reptile pay in blood."

"Coo, we tried many ways, but that reptile was too powerful. My uncle also met with misfortune in a surprise attack. Since then, I have been left alone in this world."

"Coo-coo, you are so pitiful." Miss Coo-coo-coo was moved to tears by Murphy's story.

"Coo, no, I am very lucky. At the moment I was about to despair, I met a clever hairless ape. It called itself 'Coo-ji', and it possessed a peculiar ability called 'Moga'..."

Coo-ji means "wizard", and "Moga" means magic.

No way, a crow's mouth is not as easy to use as a human's. This was already the closest sound he could make.

"It can communicate with me through 'Moga'. It heard my story and decided to help me take revenge. It taught me 'Moga', and now I am incomparably powerful!"

As he spoke, black smoke suddenly rose around Murphy. In an instant, he swept toward that "big cousin", snatched the branch in its mouth, and suddenly returned to the tree. Then he flicked his mouth, "snap", and the small branch accurately nailed a desert lizard to the ground.

"Caw, I have already achieved success in my studies. Coo! It is time to seek justice for my parents! Respected old bird, please tell me the location of that reptile."

"Coo-ga-ga..." The old crow was shocked. In his bird life, he had never heard such a ups and downs, shocking story!

Although this story was full of loopholes, with the wisdom of crows, they couldn't see the flaws for now.

"Coo-ga-ga..." The group of crows were also shocked. The hand Murphy just showed was too powerful, simply a divine bird descending from heaven, unrivaled!

Finally, the old crow recovered from the shock, "Coo-ga! Good bird from afar! Your strength has left a deep impression on the birds! To tell you the truth, our Coo-coo-coo clan has suffered from that reptile for a long time!"

"That reptile is rampant. All birds that invaded near its nest have been killed and frozen into stone ice, unable to move. But it occupies the best water source. Every year, several of our good little birds are killed by it for water."

"Good bird from afar, you have traveled far away, but your parents were born here, perhaps they are also relatives of our Coo-coo-coo clan!"

"I will tell you the nest of that reptile. If you can really avenge your parents, our Coo-coo-coo clan will honor you as king!"

Auror Command.

"You mean, Murphy went to the United States?" Kingsley listened to the report from a team member beside him and asked.

"Yes, one of our informants in Knockturn Alley said he asked others for a Portkey to the United States, seemingly to look for a Basilisk." The team member said, "He also had people search for Basilisk venom before. We don't know what he wants to do yet."

Could he be trying to escape?

This is not impossible, but he got the news too quickly.

Perhaps someone in the Auror Command tipped him off... Given Murphy's current level of infiltration into the Aurors, the possibility is not high, but it is not completely non-existent.

"Notify the American Ministry of Magic, say that we have a wanted criminal who has fled to their side, and ask them to assist in the arrest."

Whether he is escaping or just leaving temporarily, this matter is not entirely a bad thing for the Aurors' subsequent actions.

"Prepare for action immediately, blockade all related industries of Murphy in Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, and Hogsmeade. In addition, wake up those Deep Ones, the time has come, show your identities."

More than ten minutes later, above a desert valley, hundreds or thousands of crows flew over with a "whoosh".

They were either circling in the sky or covering the branches around the valley.

They were all the crow flocks within a radius of more than a hundred miles.

In the past, they had fought many times for food, but today they all gathered here just to witness the birth of a crow hero.

Or, witness his death.

It doesn't matter, there is fun to watch anyway.

Some crows brought their families to watch the show, some even brought several caterpillars as snacks. The crows cawed, looking forward to the start of the show.

Murphy was also shocked by this overwhelming momentum. Good guy, how much do you love watching shows!

But it was quite fun. Turning his head to look, the Coo-coo-coo clan was cheering for him, and there were even atmosphere-group crows singing.

You don't say, these American cousins are actually quite good.

Suddenly, a roar that seemed to come from the Jurassic period came from a cave in the distance.

The cave was located under a piece of weathered shale and was just covered, even if he patrolled the air ten more times, it was unlikely he would find it.

After a while, a huge earthy-yellow giant lizard with eight legs walked out of the cave.

"Back off," Murphy said, "I will cast 'Moga'. I will fight in the form of a hairless ape."

The crows gave Murphy space one after another, and then they saw Murphy transform into a "hairless ape" in a plume of black smoke.

The Basilisk discovered Murphy and instinctively sensed danger. It suddenly opened its mouth, and two streams of venom were sprayed out. The venom spray speed was extremely fast, and the range reached more than ten meters. It could use this move to hit flying crows and petrify them.

Murphy had long been prepared. He suddenly Apparated and disappeared from the Basilisk's field of vision, appearing directly above it. This was the Basilisk's visual blind spot.

"Stupefy!"

The spell hit the Basilisk's head, but it had no effect. The latter was still looking around vigilantly.

The Basilisk's thick skin's defense against spells was no weaker than a dragon's, and ordinary spells were completely ineffective against it.

Fine, Murphy didn't expect ordinary spells to work either.

"Viravito!" The stones under the Basilisk's feet suddenly transformed into several vines, wrapping around its eight legs several times, and then returned to stone quality again, binding it in place.

Then Murphy took out a heavy pile driver as tall as a person from his Undetectable Extension Bag, let it fall from the air, put it on the Basilisk's head, and pressed the switch on it.

The next second, the hydraulic hammer smashed onto the Basilisk's head with a "bang," putting it into a baby-like sleep in one go.

"Caw! Moga! Moga!" The crows cheered for Murphy's victory and took off one after another, circling in mid-air.

They took the "magic" in Murphy's mouth as Murphy's name.

Murphy ignored them, put on a pair of dragon-hide gloves, and was about to extract venom from the Basilisk's mouth. Suddenly at this moment, he heard a sharp cry. Looking up, he saw a huge shadow covering the sky and sun, swooping down.

Thunderbird!
