Volume Five Summary

This volume has 120 chapters...

It's really a bit long.

But the campus plot is just this one volume, and I put everything I wanted to put in it, so it's fine if it's long.

I wrote this volume quite tiredly. I don't like following the plot, but I have to rely on the original plot to catch the time points. This is also one of the reasons why this volume is so long.

In this volume, the protagonist actually plays the same role as Dumbledore. Both of them are chess players. They don't personally go down to the field on the Sorcerer's Stone matter, but indirectly control their respective chess pieces to play against each other through other ways.

It's just that Dumbledore didn't take the protagonist as an enemy and opponent too actively. His moves were closer to defensive, which also led to him not putting much pressure on the protagonist. It was hard for me to make the protagonist jump up and kill him suddenly—that way the emotion wouldn't be right.

This led to the emotion of this volume being relatively flat. However, for the author, I tried to grasp a larger plot, and the line of Tom was rounded quite well. I also made a reversal on the original plot that looked similar to the original but was essentially completely different. I hope everyone can get some fun from it.

At the same time, because the protagonist is behind the scenes, he appeared too little in this volume, and a lot of space was given to Murphy's chess piece—Tom. Readers who like to see original characters will find it interesting, but readers who want to see the protagonist will feel it's filler.

My handling of this point is not mature and rounded enough. Essentially, it is also that the grasp of the reader group is not precise enough.

This is also one of the inherent drawbacks of writing fan fiction, so I won't write fan fiction for the next book, there are too many constraints.

There is one more point I need to review, which is that my portrayal of character growth is not clear enough.

Readers who have read to this point should have felt it, the protagonist is changing.

The initial Murphy and the current Murphy are already different, and even the Murphy who just entered school and the Murphy at the end of this volume are different.

He has become more confident and more determined about his own path. He has less hostility and even more tolerance.

At the beginning of entering school, he still had a natural awe of Dumbledore, but in the end, he could stand at an equal angle, or even a slightly higher angle to talk to the other party.

There are changes in characters, but I didn't make it more concrete and clear.

How to say it, because Murphy is too lonely, he doesn't even have a real "friend" by his side, no one can discover and summarize this change of his from the perspective of a friend, and no one can discuss this issue with him in depth.

Although people like Selica, Patrick, or the Witch Queen, etc., will be his companions at a certain time and situation, it is difficult to establish a long-term intimate relationship with him.

Similar plots are considered B stories in playwriting, or emotional dramas. I am also not sure whether to add such plots in the future plot.

Because there is a risk, if not written well, it will be superfluous and become a poison point. Moreover, the main line of this book is not emotion, and everyone is not here to see this.

However, if the plot is logical, it might be added a little bit to enrich the story and make everyone like Murphy more.

It probably won't be the feeling of love, but more like deep mutual trust friendship.

In short, try a little bit. I am also not sure if I can write emotional dramas well—for example, I suppressed the Witch Queen's proposal because I didn't want to spend too much ink on this unplanned side line.

Finally, the campus chapter is finally over. In the next volume, the protagonist's wings will be full, and it's time to take a big knife to the world.

And this is bound to cause a backlash.

I just finished the outline... the detailed outline hasn't even been done yet...

I really hope to borrow someone's brain to help me think of the detailed outline...

Last but not least, thank you to the little partners who have read to this point. Your support is the biggest motivation for me to continue writing.

Love you, mua.
